It sounds really cool when you're holding notes like Petrucci does here. I'm not sure if it's called anything, though.

@partlyshady Superior drummer is a fine piece of software but you probably aren't mastering with it properly. If you aren't already, Use Cockos reaper for recording, it's as good as pro tools but essentially free until you start selling music. Get into the habit of putting more effort into the final mixdown and equalisation of your music. you'd sound better if you Get a bass as well, they have 89 dollar basses that kick arse on rondo music dot com The SX basses are a fan favourite on talkbass

@partlyshady I understand that your blatant egotism and "out-thereness" is all part of some advertising scheme to get your name known ala the great kat. but i still find it kind of annoying. I'm not going to say you're horrible at guitar because you aren't, however your tone and recording quality is rubbish. occasionally erroneous timing such as on ADHD probably need to be remedied too, think about using a different drum software too, if you record your drums live, try drumagog drum replacer.

I use superior drummer drum synth, and I write all the drums in midi. What synth do you recommend?

@partlyshady Superior drummer is a fine piece of software but you probably aren't mastering with it properly. If you aren't already, Use Cockos reaper for recording, it's as good as pro tools but essentially free until you start selling music. Get into the habit of putting more effort into the final mixdown and equalisation of your music. you'd sound better if you Get a bass as well, they have 89 dollar basses that kick arse on rondo music dot com The SX basses are a fan favourite on talkbass
