Weird crud flare my fear of dying. Like laying down in the dark, or like... being in the tub. My mind runs so much, that I find myself cringing and talking to myself. It's... the worst feeling in the world. These panic attacks go away after a little while, but they come at me hard.
I have a fear of being assaulted.. Everytime I get out of work at night or something else.. I predial 911 on my cell before leaving.. ans look evrywhere as Im walking... I have my keys in hand and then when I'm getting in the car I check the back seat. Yeah.. that crazy! I dont know how I got like that because it is somewhat recent. Like a few years and no I've never been abused by anyone. oh well I guess I'll have to deal with it.

Oh, and about fear. I heard once that fear is necessary; as long as the fear is a counselor, not a captor. It was my fear of dying that helped me quit smoking, for example.
murphymagick -- That's a good point, but I think there's a difference between being afraid of things that are out of our control and being rational about the likelihood that our current behavior may bring about unpleasant results which, if they don't kill us, can seriously ruin our quality of life. Your good judgement in quitting smoking would fall into the latter category, which I think is what people mean when they say that "fear" is necessary. (Plus, think of all the money that you save!)

The thought of boogers in my burgers is kind of unpleasant, but I eat soy burgers, so that would be kind of strange. What's even scarier, though, is burgers in my boogers. How did they get there? Who made those tiny little burgers? Do they live in my head? Oh wait....... I don't have any boogers. Heh-heh. (You believe me, right?) So problem solved! No worries!
When it comes to dying, the way that I look at it, before I was born, I didn't exist and it didn't bother me at all, so why worry about it? It's a little harder not to worry about losing people you care about, though.
But then you really gotta think about the WAY your're gonna die. Are you gonna go through a lot of suffering and pain when you die or is it gonna be in your sleep and painless?
LTNO18 -- Why do I need to think about that? Worrying about things that are out of our control won't change what happens. It will only make us less happy now while we wait for something bad to happen later.

For me, it's spiders. It's their size and their legs when they move.

I heard somewhere not to fear death since its the dash between the dates on your gravestone that's important and it's what you do with that dash...(since nothing's written in "stone" :P)

At the Highest level there is no Fear. At the highest level we control our thoughts and can focus on what ever we want and bring it into manifest. 5 Stars. Peace.

Yeah, cookies beat the dickens out of pills. Far worse to fear living than to fear dying, hey? Death is nothing at all to sweat, we all do it so it can't be too tough.

I really enjoyed how we saw little details of the painting before the final product, because close-up it seems like such flowing chaos and far away it's one coherent message. I guess life is a lot like that :)

Perhaps worse than the fear of death, is the fear of living.
Death we cannot avoid,
however, truly living, is to come out of ones shell and reach for all the life you can grab. Some people are unable to do this because of fear. :)

Oh, and about fear. I heard once that fear is necessary; as long as the fear is a counselor, not a captor. It was my fear of dying that helped me quit smoking, for example.

murphymagick -- That's a good point, but I think there's a difference between being afraid of things that are out of our control and being rational about the likelihood that our current behavior may bring about unpleasant results which, if they don't kill us, can seriously ruin our quality of life. Your good judgement in quitting smoking would fall into the latter category, which I think is what people mean when they say that "fear" is necessary. (Plus, think of all the money that you save!)

The thought of boogers in my burgers is kind of unpleasant, but I eat soy burgers, so that would be kind of strange. What's even scarier, though, is burgers in my boogers. How did they get there? Who made those tiny little burgers? Do they live in my head? Oh wait....... I don't have any boogers. Heh-heh. (You believe me, right?) So problem solved! No worries!

When it comes to dying, the way that I look at it, before I was born, I didn't exist and it didn't bother me at all, so why worry about it? It's a little harder not to worry about losing people you care about, though.

LTNO18 -- Why do I need to think about that? Worrying about things that are out of our control won't change what happens. It will only make us less happy now while we wait for something bad to happen later.
