Definitely looks badass, but the stock rom leaves a lot to be desired. With a custom ROM, the phone isn't so bad for about a year... Maybe a little longer... Then the keyboard starts dying. Speaking of which, the keyboard is great, haven't found another keyboard that I like quite as much, but it might not survive for the full contract term.

its a shame htc is not using sirfstar III gps chips in most of its phones. they are using qualcom gps chips which is good enough but not as accurate as sirfstar III. you will find the next turn indication is not quite as accurate on qualcom chipsets but most people can live with that.

The Touch Pros being sold here are still running on European spectrum bands, BUT I hear the guys at the XDA Forums may have found a way to unlock the US bands for AT&T. You CAN get this phone to work on AT&T's EDGE network and still get a good phone call, but you won't get the high-speed data connection for the internet.

If you wanna know, the AT&T 3G bands are 850/1900. T-Mobile is rolling out 3G, but theirs runs on the new 1700 band that was recent auctioned off by the FCC.

I'm seriously considering getting this phone. It's too expensive, and I have to sell my iPhone and Tilt just to get this one. Thanks for the info. I looked at so many stores online, and on eBay, and some of them are saying that it is 3G. Not sure, maybe these are just false advertising, especially the ones on eBay. Some say "IN STOCK" /"Ready to ship", but on the description says "Preorder". I asked to verify, and it was right, they don't have it. Thanks again, I appreciate it.
