  • would u sell any one of your vest and or plates?

  • @MOON1388 No. I need them for the 2012 apocalypse.

  • @mixflip

    LOL.

Or for when they start rounding up Americans using the NDAA powers. Senators Lieberman and Graham both said that they want to lock up Americans without trial or evidence. WTF, this shit is just getting worse and worse.

And the economy isn't recovering, unless you think that adding 10,000 fast food jobs is a recovery.

  • Where'd ya find the holster on the vest? And is it possible for it to be connected horizontally?

  • @WaterfrontBoss I got the holster from a gun show for about $20. Im sure you could rig the holster to sit horizontal if you mess with it enough?

  • I have a question. From what I have found you either have to be Military, Law Enforcement, or Security to own this type of armor. How did you get this legally.

  • @chrisrusso100 Not illegal for civilians to own in most states (check your state laws). You cannot own any US Government property (so any surplus amor is out) but there are manufacturers who make armor for civilians. In most cases it's legal.

  • @ruhl1337

Well, if you go to an Army/Navy surplus store and see an IBA, buy it. Point Blank IBAs can be bought and owned by anyone.

And the Army shreds their old records, that is how so much "surplus" walks home with guys when they exit the service. Unless someone is active duty and stealing gear, no one is ever going to be able to match up serial numbers. Shit is just lying around EVERYWHERE in the military. You people wouldn't believe the amount of waste.

  • wat does class 4 mean?

  • @barneyknowshow Probably the same as level IV. hard armor comes in different levels.

  • SERIOUSLY WHY DO YOU PPL POST THIS ON YOUTUBE WHEN SHTF YOU GUYS ARE THE FIRST TO BE CAUGHT AFTER POSTING A VIDEO LIKE THIS THEY PUTTID YOU IN THE WHO TO KILL FIRST LIST

AND IF YOU DONT BELIVE ME SOME TIME AGO A KID MADE A TREAD TO A DOCTOR ON A YOUTUBE VIDEO AND SAYING HE HAD GUYS 20MIN IT TOOK AFTER POSTING THE VIDEO 20MIN AND THE POLICE WAS AT HIS DOOR

YOUTUBE KNOWS MORE ABOUT YOU THEN YOUR FAMILY EVEN MORE THEN YOU KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF REMEBER THAT

  • @FUSA4LIFE owning body armor is not the problem. Idiots who make deadly threats (regardless of what they own) is the real problem. That kid would have been arrested no matter what he showed on youtube if your story is real. Owning machine gun, explosive (like tanernite) 50 cal sniper rifles and flare launchers are all 100% legal in most states. making deadly threats is not legal and thats what got him arrested. Not the ownership of firearms.

  • Nothing wrong with being prepared. When s.h.t.f only person to count on is urself. Government friends, family and the outher 6 billion people will do anything to take what u got. Veterans/active military,Police stand the best chances due to there training in high stress situation. Most outhers will fall into organized gangs and take over warehouses and such to secure a means of survival.

  • when shit hits the fan!

  • Comment removed

  • You mentioned that you got this gear I think at a place called back paid. Is that correct. I'm not familial with it

  • @Texasoutback its actually called "backpage" dot com. Its a free classifieds website kinda like craigslist but its firearms friendly. Check your local listings. Its pretty much in all 50 states by now?

  • @mixflip I'm glad you mentioned it! I was rackin' my brain for days trying to think of the URL for that site!

  • hold on people.... learn from KATRINA disaster.... Be prepared... thats all I can say.... when disaster strikes you and your family are on their own... how would you protect yourself and your family? the authorities? they will be swamped too! again... KATRINA!

  • are those scissors?! hardcore weapon right there hahahha

  • what holster is on your vest?

  • @Fmba112 Its a VooDoo tactical universal holster. About $20 at a gun show.

  • awesome rig man fuck the haters there all retarded

  • @ChromeDove Anyone can buy this stuff in most states. Some states my have restrictions if you have a criminal history though. And if you ever get caught committing a crime with armor on the charges can be increased from misdemeanor to felony in some cases? Do some research before you buy.

  • @mixflip Thanks for the reply. I am a law abiding citizen which is more than I can say for this administration. lol I have a legal valid gun permit and am proud to say I exercise my right to carry openly!

  • there is no reason to be paranoid with that set up...your good

  • lol why so fucking paranoid ? wtf lmao a comet or nuclear bomb fuck man I live by crackheads and i'm that afraid

  • @latinlingo I guess you havent heard of the financial issues in Europe with Greece defaulting on their national debt, needing a bailout. The people rioted because they didnt get their checks because the government is broke? Portugal, Ireland and Spain need bail outs themselves. For the first time in human history we are a world economy and if SHTF there it will effect us here. The US 401k's are 70% invested in Europe and if they go down we go down. I have a family to think about.

  • @mixflip lol wow stop watching the fox bullshit news man calm down breath and enjoy your family take care... but i do like your vest if that makes you happy :-)

  • @latinlingo Lol dude Im the calmest guy you will ever meet. I am simply prepared to take care of business if shit comes my way. As a cop and a military veteran I have a slightly more realistic world view than most of the sheep out there walking around with blinders on. You do whats best for you and I'll do whats best for me. Just dont come asking for my help in a natural or man made disaster happens. My family is good to go with or without FEMA. (if it takes them a week to help?)

  • @mixflip Hey chicken little. Yup. You best be prepared because America will implode upon itself. Thanks to all your politicians that have been bought and paid for by corporations who have been raping this country ever since Reagan implemented his trickle down economics FRAUD. Americans are beginning to realize that and also the widening gap between the rich and the poor with all the wealth concentrated at the top. There will be a people revolution soon. Americans vs Americans.

  • @GoldenShellback1 Remind me how Im chicken little again??? Didnt he yell the sky is falling? In the scenario you just spelled out (American vs American) isnt that actually a SHTF aka sky is falling scenario??? Im not understanding your angle?

  • @mixflip I was actually being sarcastic. But the idea of people revolting against economic slavery and the injustice being perpetrated against Americans on a daily basis by plutocracy and oligarchy, is just a matter of time before SHTF. You being a corporatist cop is just one reason why you need to prepare yourself for the impending armageddon.

  • @latinlingo Be ignorant, ignore it and carry on with your life. People like me and this guy will survive the upcoming collapse while you starve and get over-run by criminals robbing houses for food because Safeway won't take their worthless dollar. I hope people like you wake up and READ for a change.

  • @NStoneCID lmao I do read just not that fear mongering shit you read don't worry

be happy I think there making a tv show about people like you that are ready for the end of the world and have space ships in their garages...

  • @NStoneCID I don't, I hope people like him perish. This planet is over populated and the more sheep in the world today means less sheep in the world when the shit really does hit the fan. Sheep are wholly responsible for everything that is wrong in the world today including all the disease and famine.

  • US Armor is who made my III A class vest I wear on duty. They are a quality company and make quality vests, The only thing that concerns me is the date of manufacture, and the climate that it may have been exposed too. Better than nothing at all though. It still would probably perform just as good as the day it was bought, at least let's hope so. I know a few officers that refuse to wear a strike plate because of the stories of a ricochet tends to go upward and kill the wearer.I wear the strike.

  • dooped for sure.

  • @woottanggang Well I x-rayed it and it looked fine to me. no cracks. (yes I have an x-ray at the office lol)

  • @mixflip dooped

  • @woottanggang Only one way to find out.

  • Lol, you got dooped.

  • @sammy789987 It passed an x-ray test. I didnt see any cracks.

  • @mixflip Yeah. but that doesnt mean the armor isn't compromised it's far too old to actually stop anything in my opinion. plus that vest that was used in Kosovo seems FAKE as all hell...dooped

  • Class 4 ceramic plate for only $150?

you know it got dropped right?

    never buy used ceramic plates

  • @HunterKiller308 I x-rayed it and it didnt have any cracks. Who knows, maybe I did?

  • @mixflip Sounds like you did good then, you just have to be carful when buying used ceramic plates. kinda hard to get x-rays before you buy

  • @HunterKiller308 Yeah I bought it on a whim and a gamble. The guy was pretty honest too. He said he had several vests and one was actually shot. Im a pretty good judge of character and he seemed like a good guy so I took a chance with his armor at that price. Will I gamble like that again? Nah. I want new and advanced armor next time.

  • "In case i need to respond to something to protect my family..." I would totally not break into your home lol

  • I have two Level III's and 1 Level IV myself. I need at least one more. People need to be prepared for the end

  • I'm not certain about the body armour plate that you bought, but don't trust the kevlar vest. Those things have a use by date (approximately 5 years depending on how they are treated). Anyway, as you said in response to someone else's comments "I'd rather have it vs nothing.Stack the odds in my favor".

  • @DavidJHilt I agree old soft armor can degrade if it was abused with sweat or submerged or obviously shot lol but I have also seen old kevlar soft armor that was 15 years old test shot by police officers and it held up 100%. Truth be told I bought the vest for the hard armor because I have xray machines at work to test it. The soft armor was a bonus. It had no stains or frays which is a sign of abuse so Im ok with it in a pinch. I have issued armor at work. This is extra for home

  • 100 percent SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN. be prepared!

  • a plate carrier is kind of useless in shtf you get shot your still screwed broken bones internal bleeding

  • @SovietStarAirsoft It depends on what you get shot with. Not all rioters carry rifles. Most thugs carry 22's 380's and 9mm because they are usually broke or too cheap. Also there are plenty of soft armor test that show the wearer getting shot and not suffer broken bones or internal bleeding. There are soldiers that have been shot in their hard armor, fell down and got right back up with no injuries.Injuries can happen but I'd rather have it vs nothing.Stack the odds in my favor

  • @mixflip that may be they case were you live but were I live almost everyone has a 30 06 or a 45 pistol but even if you got knocked down I would just pop a few more into you will you lay on the ground also do you want to draw unwanted attention to yourself So if you are going with body armor in shtf even though I wouldnt you might want it to be a concealed type vest or late carrier

  • People who stay in their house when the shtf might last a week. Staying at home is the stupidest thing you can do.

  • Great deal. You know where I could find something like this? The lllA vest I found was $350

  • @gmaster45612374 Look on craigslist or backpage?

  • Comment removed

  • @Saigax12 Thanks for the kind words even though you removed them lol. I know what you mean about the youtube sensations that take themselves way to serious. I just like showing my friends and family what guns & gear I have (they live out of state) and if folks like to come along for the ride so be it. I also take alot of time to answer all questions I possibly can. Getting answers can often save money and help decide what not to buy. Or seal the deal! Stay safe out there.

  • you dont need money you need silver and Gold

  • OMG is it realy that bad in america?

I want to live in a world where people dont lock the doors for the night becouse it is safe.

Ill beter go outside and start digging that bunker

  • @kokosz33

Hes not going to wear the armor everywhere he goes, but its nice to have...just encase, you NEVER KNOW.

  • Also keep & eye of the Kevlar because the material it starts to break down in @ 5yrs & you have to replace the Kevlar only not the plate the plate will last you as long as it not been shot @ but the Kevlar you do have to replace or it may not be as strong as the first time it was made don't get me wrong it will stop a bullet still but it also when it get's hit it going to hurt more the normal so replace & be safe xxxx

  • used(only shot at twice)

  • Good setup. I'm pretty sure those plates have a exp date. I guess some protection is better than none. Unless they have a 30-30 then it's pretty much useless.

  • lol I saw Condor and heard "shit hits the fan", posted this comment, and closed the video.

  • @WonderfulLlama Cant please everybody on youtube I guess. Thank God its free right. Maybe my other videos will be more entertaining or useful? I have over 250 to chose from. I just finished my Shot Show 2012 coverage so theres lots of video there you might like if you are into guns?

  • @mixflip

Sorry dude, it just yells "shrine of the mall ninja" in my face, and this is coming from an irl mall security guard.

  • @WonderfulLlama Oh well. Have a good one brother. Like I said. Youtube is free and you cant please everyone. Btw mall ninjas are usually folks with no military or police background. Would I want to take this gear to Iraq? No.

  • @WonderfulLlama

You complain about condor yet you play with airsoft guns and action figures...typical.

    But hey, guess what?

While your playing with toys this guy has body armor, so in the end, what do you matter.

  • @Breakneckhydra1

You're a complete idiot. You have no idea about anything about me. So in the end, what do YOU matter?

  • @mixflip Lining the back of the Hard rifle plate with a "Soft" armor insert would help. Put the "Soft" insert between you and the Hard plate. Softens the impact. Not at all trying to tell you how to set up your rig....just a thought friend.

  • @WonderfulLlama Condor actually went up in quality after they started double stitching. Blackhawk is more expensive made of the same materials and single stitched. Some of the condor gear is sturdy enough for use.

Out of curiosity what's your preference as far as gear manufacturers?

  • @SoCalTactical

I use Condor stuff for airsoft, and even in that very light application Condor falls apart. Their backpacks are okay if you just use them for hiking and stuff. I wouldn't trust my life to one of their vests, though...

And this is a generic answer, but I do prefer Eagle and Crye for gear (airsoft and "shtf").

  • @WonderfulLlama Thanks for the input.

  • how do i get a hold of one and is it legal to have ?

  • @mjmoto72 You buy them. And yes legal in every state of the union for civilians to own body armor. Buy online, buy in person if you have the cash someone has the armor. Gun shows sell them gun shops may sell them can always barter for them on craigs list or buy them online. Just don't drop the ceramic plates... they are fragile.

  • why dont ya get a 1/4 inch steel plate for the back? i dont know if it would work but im sure its better then nothing.

  • @minator3 My dept issues brand new armor to us. I bought the level IV hard armor plate on my own just for shits & giggles for use at home not for work.

  • You know what there is no such thing as over kill

  • i have that same plate carrier... i haven't put plates in it yet, just set up the mags and ifak. that plate carrier doesn't sit real well with the front weighted down. i would like to know if your carrier sits evenly on your body when the plates are in place. also, i read your comments on your other voodoo tactical plate carrier, you said you sold it. i think that voodoo plate carrier is better. it hugs under your arms. if someone had to drag you w/ the condor vest, they could pull it off

  • @smasci True this one is smaller and has its share of negatives but I like it because its small and allows for more movement especially in a vehicle. The other one is pretty big and bulky and probably better for real combat but this one is for emergencies.

  • Someone lied to you. those plates are worthless. If you don't believe me shoot it with an AK and see what happends. and when you get the real ones try x-raying them for microcracks before using them.

  • @InfernalThunder So if I do test them with an AK and they stop them I guess I am right but now Im screwed and will need to buy new one. Luckily for me I have an xray machine at work. My plates are fine.

  • @mixflip You've got a good point. But if you have cop buddies you should ask them to check it for you.

  • @InfernalThunder I got that covered. Im a cop.

  • @mixflip Sorry i started off with a wrong foot. But the US government usually goes for the lowest bidder, and the SAPI plates i got issued go for $500 a piece flat, so the price makes it look a bit sketchy. and i thought you guys in law enforcement had a resource to check body armor... In military we can check it at the issue facility. they got x-ray machine for that.

  • @InfernalThunder You're an idiot. Period.

  • @keltingr Thanks, I'm glad you noticed. :)

  • 1998 manufacture? I thought after so many years that the plates were no good any longer?

  • @Whocares05050 Plates are not like milk that goes bad after a certain date. Think of it like a car. Cars dont automatically stop working after their warranty expires. Health & life insurance policies wont honor any claims for military & police shot with expired armor, thats why they buy new armor every so often. But the armor still works as long as it never got wet or dropped or cracked or shot obviously.

  • @mixflip I don't think that is true though. Manufactures of these vest usually only put a guarantee for 5 years and after more research they DO go bad. Environmental conditions, sweat, rain, bending, etc, are all factors to consider the aging of these vest. Now, im not saying that BAM they go bad all of a sudden after 5 yrs. But a 1998 manufacture date would certainly make me cautious, esp if i planned to keep it. If it was never worn, brand new, and kept away,I would count my life 2 it

  • @mixflip But I will say that it is still better then nothing. If you search around youtube and online there are a ton of articles claiming that these vest do infact have expirations and should be not trusted any longer. Now, this could be just the kevlar vest, and not the ceramic. IDK. Ill be looking into this more... either way. Nice video. Im not bashing it what so ever. Im just trying to get an understanding on these vest is all for my own personal interest. thanks.

  • u wear that in yoiur body??

  • @CharlieDoan Yes you wear in inside your body under your skin.

  • How crazy the economic system is now your preparations are actually a smart decision

  • @DreamingOutLoud33 Thanks. I am a big believer in the old saying "luck favors the prepared" also "its better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it". Plus its my hobby to buy this kind of stuff. I dont criticize people who buy cigarettes & alcohol.

  • i was stationed in HI. k-bay mcas. pretty island, but the draw back is it's an island. nowhere to go.

  • @zac030101 Yep, if you arent a hiker, or a beach/ water person... life can certainly suck in Hawaii.Thankfully I was a surfer, boogie boarder and scuba diver and I loved the tanned island girls (and they loved me back lol) so I was right at home. I would not move back now since I like the wide open expanses of the western US. Much better survival rate if SHTF here. Hawaii is screwed if SHTF sadly. Too dependent on ships. Not self sustaining at all.

  • @mixflip its a shame too. it was an awesome place to live. and in jealous if you live in the western part of the country. i live south of philly, sux more here. got a cousin livin in colorado.

  • so if you have a family to be there for as you said why would get into the middle of violence, in these type of situations youd want to put your ego aside and evade. I mean honestly how long woud one last fighting every enemy he see's. Eventually your going to get tagged alot quicker with that mentality..be there for your family man, that is why you prep in the first place right?

  • @Gadsden556 Who said I'd be running out of my house to go fight? When you shelter in place you are vulnerable to getting "bunkered" as they say. One molotov cocktail can force you to have to get out and fight. Ever thought of that? And who ever said I would fight alone? My wife is a better shot than I am with a handgun lol since I am a rifleman so to speak. If our family was being attacked my wife would be one of those women who sit in the corner leaving me to fight alone.

  • @mixflip yes ive thought of being "bunkered" thats why i brought up trying to evade first but of course if the situation doesnt allow then yes you'd have to fight your way out. But i may have tooken it wrong maybe i thought you ment you were going to be rambo when you said your a fighter and will never back down which is why i thought itd be a bad idea especially with limited rounds but hey maybe i took it wrong good vid none the less.

  • @Gadsden556 I dont think I ever advocated "looking for a fight" or "being Rambo"? I never said "I never back down". What I said was that I am a fighter as in a fighting spirit that wound just let you kill me without at least a fight before I die. That is in no way being Rambo. You definitely misunderstood the message of the video. Thanks for watching.

  • ceramic plates are too be used in conjunction with soft armor., you should be wearing soft armor with that., there are plate carriers out there that hold both 3a and ceramic.,

  • You made some great points about just simply being prepared. The majority of people would say it is ridiculous to have something like this available, but like you said its not about you, its about your family. When people realize that, they might think again.

  • Looking good Bro thumbs up.

  • most people get shot in back looking for people in front of them. love the vids......

  • something people often over look is ammo, while all those things are nice to have, when shit really hits the fan ammos gonna be one of the hardest things to get

  • @ecollins92 Very good point. Once ammo is gone the guns become nothing more than very expensive clubs. More ammo is also good to use as a possible bartering commodity. I might take bullets or canned food over paper or coin money if we were neighbors trading things to survive?

  • @mixflip depending on the scenario, food and ammo would definitely be more valuable

  • @mixflip Money will be worthless in any collapse of society. Ammo and food will be top items to have and trade with.

  • @siesonekmk I agree.

  • Damn good deal for both, either one alone is worth $150.

  • @needparalegal Yeah, Im not a huge fan of buying used armor but at $150 for both the vest and the plate was just a killer deal.

  • wow, here in Massachusetts, its a felony to pocess that armour plate, or bullet proof material, such as a kevlar vest, I am so sad,

  • @TheGeohart I think its so ironic that Massachusetts is home to some of the top firearms manufacturers and is one of the states that helped start our great free nation yet today it is one of the most un-free states as far as the 2nd amendment goes? Its sad actually.

  • @mixflip LOL, want to talk irony, how about the Battle of Lexington? This country was formed by a Police State trying to seize private guns.

  • @TheGeohart I think its so ironic that Massachusetts is home to some of the top firearms manufacturers and is one of the states that helped start our great free nation yet today it is one of the most un-free states as far as the 2nd amendment goes? Its sad actually.

  • @TheGeohart Some how "Liberals" (I am a "real" liberal in that I believe we should have liberties) think people should not have the right to protect themselves.

  • thats a great setup right there... I want some plates in a molle vest. you did very well for 150 bucks.

  • @67mustangreg I couldnt pass it up when I saw it for sale. Now I just need another one for the back.

  • @mixflip like i say, i dont plan on getting shot running away lol

  • @mixflip I heard form a marine that armor like the one your showing here are issued every three or four years due to the material break down, and they won't hold up as if they were new (up to 3 or 4 years) I don't know anything about body armor so I'm not making fun of you or anything like that but what's your opinion on that

  • @hightower338 Armor does not expire like food does. The warranty may run out in 5 years but that doesnt mean the kevlar automatically goes bad. Does your car still drive after the warranty expires? Sure it does. Now it can fail if its been shot or dunked in water (or cracked if its hard armor) maybe thats what he meant? I say buy new if you can but dont discount used police issue armor thats only 5 or 10 years old. Any older and I'd pass and just buy new.

  • @hightower338 Yea, that takes in account for normal every day (that's every day) wear. the salt in sweat will break down the Kevlar. and other environmental elements like water, heat sand etc..but if your just use it occasionally to train and don't submerge in water often the Kevlar will maintain its effectiveness.

  • @mixflip How does a Civilian Go about getting Body armor?

  • @tacticoolness Armor is legal in many states. You can often find armor on line and even used police issue armor on the online classifieds like backpage and craigslist. Check with your local police dept on what your actual laws are.

  • @TheCaneArtist

It's better to be a prepared for nothing and called a dumbass, than to say, "Crap. I could have prepared, but I was too concerned people would think less of me or call me crazy. I catered to the opinions of those who would rather stick their head in the dirt and not acknowledge that shit happens to good people. And now, my family is looking to me and asking why I did nothing when I had every chance to save them from peril or at least try to."

  • @kneedeepinzombieshit Now thats what I call a come back!!!

  • is it how higher the level the better?

    or how lower how better?

  • @maximevhw level III and IV is the higher levels rated for rifle rounds and are hard armor.

The lower levels are usually soft kevlar armor like IIa, IIIa and a few others.

  • @mixflip thanks

  • Good review. Thanks for posting.

  • You did an excellent job with your vests and purchase. You are well prepared and I appreciate your video. Thanks.

Ignore the ones talking crap. Chances are, they're looking at YOUR vids for help.

  • @vanhustler Thanks. Im used to the haters. It comes with the internet. I only respond to them because Im bored at work with my new Droid Bionic lol. Normally I just ignore them. Btw... Merry Christmas.

  • Is that L4 multiple hit or one hit AP round?

    Nice plate, irregardless.

  • Nice rig brother but one problem I see with you rig, with your Handgun mags so up high it makes it awkward for you to naturally pull your mags out. Also if you have a sling on your primary and you have to drop it (so the weapon is slung across your front) it hinders access to your handgun (on your vest) and your handgun mags. I would say to move you handgun to your belt and move your mags to the right or left side depending on which hand you shoot with

  • @JuErLe359 Yeah its a work in progress. I was trying to keep the setup a "grab & go" setup with everything all on one vest in a SHTF event. The only way to resolve the handgun issue is to go with a battle belt or thigh rig. But that is more gear I have to buy and more gear I have to reach for if bad things are brewing outside.

  • HA HA HA You are smoking crack! This is why I always take head shots. You wasted your cash. You would have been better off paying someone to hold the damn camera for you!

  • @TheCaneArtist Yeah you are a sniper Im sure who specializes in the head shot right? I hate to break it to you. Even military trained snipers dont train to take head shots. Thats Hollywood. Clearly you dont know what the hell you are talking about. You'd be better off opening your eyes and spending more time outside of your parents house. Life is nice living with your mom isnt it?

  • So… If you live your life to a ripe old age. And the world does not end.. Will you look back and say. Man I was a dumb ass for believing all that BS. Be honest…

I am sure if the word does end.. I will say to myself CRAP I should have listened.

  • @TheCaneArtist Why do you assume I am prepping for the end of the world? Where have you been the last few years? Under a rock? The huge Texas fires,Joplin tornado, hurricane Irene that flooded New England,Mississippi floods, tsunami in Japan, tsunami in Malaysia, black outs in NYC, drought in Texas, hurricane Katrina, UK riots for 4 days. Shit happens and people should be prepared in case the government cant come to the rescue in time. Do you wear a seat belt? Same concept.

  • @mixflip don't listen to that guy " ThecaneArtist" he most obviously would be one of those rioters trying to rob food from a supermarket or someones house when the world goes upside down... keep up the good work you have the right to protect you and your family at any cost... Sal from UK

  • Your not crazy, I'm building my own panic room in my basement. I've got 3 feet of concrete block backed by 1" steel plating. Lots of food & water along with a few thousand rounds of ammo. So when its time to rock and roll then I'll be ready. Peace out!

  • paranoia is an increased sense of preparedness

  • ya know when u said.."its level 3..level 3a actually"...well..level 3 is a HIGHER rating than 3A..so dont get all excited about the A being there like its a fucking christmas bonus because its a lower level of protection than 3. Uh...YOUR WELCOME. little but about me..im the BEST at everything...i KNOW EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING..I run shit,im the boss and I have the best of everything...and I have a lot of money. WAAAAAY more than you. When I pull out my cock, women appear out of nowhere

  • @OKCtactical Level 4 is hard armor for rifles which I clearly show at the beginning. Level IIIa is soft kevlar armor is for pistols which I show later in the video. I didnt make a mistake dipshit. I clearly mention that I got both level IIIa soft armor and a level IV hard armor plate. Open your fucking ears. If I said I had a level III (not IIIa) rifle plate armor then I would have said that. I sid level IIIa because thats what the fuck I have. Uh... your welcome.

  • @OKCtactical you're a dumb ass

  • hmm, how important is body armor?

  • @FirstPistolSammy Its only as important as you want to make it really. Its all relative really. If you are walking your dog in the suburbs, then its not important. If you walking your dog in the middle of a hurricane Katrina aftermath where roving bands of street gangs are dong home invasions because 911 is down or the Rodney King riots where people were getting yanked out of their vehicles and beaten then body armor might make a little more sense in those events.

  • @mixflip

yes i see your point. I live in the suburb but if i move to oh say L.A I would probably would invest in a armor. rather be safe than sorry, as of now low on the list.

    thanks for the reply!

  • no insult to your ´investments´ but have you ever heard of active armour?

  • So what sort of protection will level 4 armor give? As I recall reading once, level 4 should defeat most 7.62mm cartridges but what about steel cored ammunition?

  • @pickinthatbanjo You might be screwed if the bad guys are using steel penetrators? Luckily most bad guys are uneducated untrained unsophisticated under financed street thugs who cant or wont invest in high quality ammo or training.

  • @mixflip Thanks for the reply, I sort of figured as much but figured I should ask. I've seen level 4 vests going on a few different sites up here, usually older Irish vests going for around the 300-600 range depending on condition of course.

  • "I at least want to go down fighting" Damn Right Man :)

  • This is just a suggestion, but you may want to put the ceramic plate in the back until you get a second one. Reason being, is that you have a lot less control over who's behind you, and you also have several metal magazines that the bullet has to go through in the front.

  • @Blakmajik4 I would never trust my life to a few aluminum magazines in the front to stop a rifle bullet. Aluminum might as well be butter when it comes to stopping a rifle round. I'll keep my plates in the front for now sine thats where the threat will usually be. If they flank me or get behind me while Im dealing with threats in front of me I am pretty much doomed unless I have friends in the fight anyway.

  • @mixflip I gotcha. I wouldn't trust my life in the hands of aluminum either, seeing as how my pellet gun shoots through 10 cans no problem (obviously magazines are thicker, but it's the same principle). Unfortunately, I never joined the military so my combat tactics are based off what I think MIGHT be best. However, conversation spurs thought and ideas, so... it never hurts. ;]
