Well, I took my time making this video, and all the while studied (I guess one could call it that) a lot of really good videos, so I wasn't really unprepared. And I'm quite good at technical stuff, so it wasn't that hard for me to learn using the program :P.

I can't tell when I'm gonna finish the vid I'm working on currently, 'cause I'm working 8 hours a day atm and usually am pretty squashed when I get home (today I'm actually quite early), so I don't really have the patience to spend much time on it per day... But I planned to upload a tiny preview today ;-).

The great thing about your video is that it is free of a common mistake found in many many videos dedicated to this topic: you do not chop the clips abruptly but allow enough time for the viewer to immerse himself in the images. This makes the whole difference. And yes, the musical choice was brilliant. Much better choice that most of these aggressive musical clips. You know what you are doing. Well done!

I guess that would be the result of intuition then - I surely didn't think of that while making the video. I just selected the clips in a way I felt it was comfortable to watch... I guess that comes from watching a hell lot of *really* good videos on that topic ;-).

Wow. If you hadn't said this was your first vid, I never would've guessed that it was.

The clips are crystal clear, the lyrics are brilliantly matched, and it's an overall sweet and beautiful vid that makes me smile for the sake of Richard and Kahlan. :)

(I've had to thank Spiegelwelt before, too. She's crazy to think some of her stuff isn't any good.)

If I may give you an advice, watch the show first and then, if you like it, go and get your hands on the books (the show is based on the "Sword of Truth" novels). I did it the other way round and wound up moaning "Oh no, not *another* change..." in almost every episode ;-). Nonetheless the show is great, seen apart from the novels (which are even better!).

Hey, a big bunch of thanks for such a nice comment :D. I had (and have) a very good source of inspiration here, it's just incredible what some people do with the clips. Right now I'm looking for a song to use for the next video, but so far I'm not really sure what to use. And it's gonna take some time to finish, so be patient ;-). I just hope that it will at least be as good as this...
