@FDRTYLJ If you are really a "final year medical student" and you didn't know what a colostomy is until now, I would hate to see you in the hospital! I'm a second semester Surgical Tech and I already know about the colostomy! What type of incisions, how the whole procedure works in detail etc. Btw, I think if you really were a med student in your final year, you're referred to as a fourth year med student... just something to think about lol
Haha, the lady that invented the apron thing came into our medical class a while back and showed us everything...its actually pretty kool. She gave us some information that wasn't exactly...pleasent..but it was still kinda kool. :P
I Had colostomy surgery in May 2010. They split me right down the middle. Its been 7 months now & I still deal with the pain hourly. Im wondering when or if it'll go away.
this is great. It should be shown to all colostomy patients instead of the confusing diagrams the hospital usually shows you. Is there one for ileostomy?
very awesome! my 6mth old baby will be going through this procedure soon, and u did a way better job of explaining than they did. keep it up, post some more. it is very helpful, and spoken in plain english!
Very well done mate, thanks so much for sharing! This is a much nicer way to show my young daughters what their brother went through without the "scary" graphic operations footage :-)
how old is she ?

That is GROSS! Heavy price to pay for being ignorant of nutrition. Minister Farrakhan had this done in 2007!

I had colostomy surgery, thank God they didn't split me down the middle of my stomach as she describe. They don't do it that way now.
