  • Thats pretty strict, but you swing your arms just a tad, but with that much weights its hard to use all forearms check out this video response I will send you, this is what i consider a strict barbell curl ;)

  • good form but you should keep your elbows by your side more, i know they come forward a little bit naturally but the more they are pinned to your side the harder your biceps will be working, and therefore you will get better results.

  • Curls are not useless. they increase grip, support muscles around the wrist and elbow, and add power to the arms. So if you're not playing football, wrestling, or boxing, Then yea,they are useless. good form btw. totally agree with gitano

  • yeah because gripping a 80lb bar with gravity is really going to challenge your grip in the same way as deadlifting 500lbs against gravity. fuckhead

  • Yeah because in deadlifting your arms are doing all of the work and it really pressures the forearm to hold all 500lbs. im sure gravity isnt pulling all 500 lbs down when you set it back down. But you're pulling all 500 lbs against gravity as opposed to no gravity, right? dolt. Pulling all 80lbs (apparently you cant curl shit)upward isnt working against gravity.

Its better to use more weight and rock a little than to use lighter weight and have perfect form that is if you want to get bigger

  • more weight comes with good form. i did more weight with bad form for a while, but then i made sure my form was perfect, and all of a sudden i got a ton stronger.

  • Personaly I make much better gains with bigger weight verses perfect form. However there has to be a balance, too much swinging won't do you any good. I think hes got a good balance between form and weight.

  • Thanks for posting the video, not trying to be a hater, but there are a few things you can do differently to just work the bicep.

    1. By bringing your arm up too high you can see that your elbows have moved. This uses your anterior deltoids to do the rest of the movement.

    2. Your balance can be better with a slight bend in the knees.

  • Also, maybe you should make a video showing people how to bench, seems people are either really shy of the barbell and don't touch at all or like it too much and bounce the weight like they're trying to jump start their heart.

  • Hey Great Form! I know the "cheat curl" is a real type of exercise, but I think that about 99% of the people doing the "cheat curl" don't even realize that they're doing it and are just ignorant of how to do a correct bicep curl. Cracks me up watching all those douches humping air at the gym.

  • I have been working out for almost 20 years and never heard of a skull crusher. So tell me more! One compliment I have is that you would be a very good teacher. You have a tone of patience and kindness in your voice that is very effective in communication. If nothing else, you will be a good parent :)

  • Skull crushers are pretty much just slang for tricep extensions. All you do is lay flat on a bench with a bar and lift the weight at the elbows leaving the rest of the arms pointing straight up. Also, thanks for the complement, I work at a tutoring center for kids as a math tutor, so maybe thats where I get it from haha.
