Ur totally right. Neversoft doesn't know when to stop, after constantly trying to improve their games' sequels. Guitar hero will soon go down, but rock band will maintain it's awesomeness through EA, harmonix, and MTV.

I DO NOT think guitar hero 4 is doing a good thing letting people make songs. there i said it. The reason you ask. Because 1st of all if you can make your own songs then that means no sequals and no downloadable content. also lets be honest all your really gunna do is make a song thats impossibly hard or only has 1 note then your gunna bored with it.

I agree with you 100% Herculez....not to mention that RB2 already announced an additional 20 songs that they could not fit on the disk. These will be on a seperate disk for free thats over 100 songs total.....GHWT said they would have extra downloadable content which means more money out of pocket for less playlists......

I say rb2 because they started gh & rb. Harmonix knows what they are doing because they worked on gh, gh2, rb, and now rb2. Activision just started with gh3 and gh: aerosmith and is quickly trying to compete with harmonix. also activison is not very creative because they COMPLETLY copied rb. i bet if harmonix did not make rb, activision would not have made gh: world tour. right now, it looks like all activision can do is copy other peoples ideas. also rb2 intruments are very nice. GO ROCK BAND 2

They didn't COMPLETELY copy RB. They added in features such as slide board and custom songs (although the slideboard is similar to the solo buttons). Activision kinda had to make drums ans the singer.

There is a lot more to the game than just the drums and singer. Will it turn out well, I don't know. But if you watched the promo vid, you'd see that there are a lot of differences.

So please, think a little deeper, rather than just seeing the very first look and jump to negative conclusions.

If you already have GH3 or RB1 for 360/PS3 then I say stick with your series because both games feature backwards compatible downloadable content (although I'm pretty sure GH3 DLC wont have drums+vocal parts included)

If your a newbie to the music game genre and not Australian then I say go with Rock Band for the much wider music library instead of the GH motive of breaking fingers as fast as possible.

Despite being Aussie and EA hating us, I am still going with RB only because Boston is in it

if i were you id get the gh4 bundle and just the rb2 game that way u can play both

GH4 is a very promising game with create your own song mode, and GHtunes.

RB2 is also a very promising game but with RB1the drum pads missed ntoes you know for a fact you hit and broke very easily which could again happen in RB2

So go with GH4 i know im goin with my other suggestion(both)

GH4 World Tour is so detailed. U can make ur own songs and put them on the internet and u can do band v band online. Rock Band doesn't have anything special anymore and dont forget if it wasn't for guitar hero there would have never been a Rock Band.

Guitar Hero wouldn't exist if Guitar Freaks wasn't made. What's your point? Harmonix made GH, they got paid a bunch of cash to make Rock Band. Crappy Neversoft takes up GH, and is bound to ruin it sooner or later. World Tour probably won't ruin it, but it will be ruined soon enough, trust me. They'll make one good game (Tony Hawk's Underground) then ruin it the next. Then ruin it even more the next. Then almost save it the next game. Then just kill the whole series after that game.

2- songs from rock band 1 and DLC can be played in rock band 2

3- i would rather have fun playing real songs than songs i'd make with who knows what kind of quality

4- the songs confirmed so far in rock band 2 are amazing

5- a band game shouldn't have the name "guitar hero"

6- character designs are way better

I'll admit, that's pretty badass, but in RB2, you can plug in you MP3 player and play along to songs, you can play all your DLC from RB1, and Online World Tour (I know that GH4 has this, but it'll be more of a test since it's their first time with a band game)
