  • talent + creativity + looks = DUSTY SPRINGFIELD!

  • her videos are so abstract and creative...almost poetic in a way

  • The two guys in suits look like agents from the movie The Matrix. Awesome song though.

  • she is one of my favourite artists a true lady she passed away to early but like they say god only takes the best and with dusty he got that god bless you dusty your music will always live on

  • Nice to see some legacy for the highly underated Brian Spence with this cover of his song getting good airplay in some parts of the world.

  • pure class beautiful lady she is a queen

  • Dusty your were and still are awesome. Your voice was made in heaven and now you are there singing. Thank God for video.

  • I never knew about these later performances....they are as great as the 60's!! I am very inspred by Dusty!! I wish she was still alive to sing more songs!!

  • there will never be another like her

  • I hope that when she was recording songs like these, circa late 80's/early 90's, she felt some of the love we all have for her, especially when she was coming back into the public eye after such a long absence. Damn shame we had to lose her when she had come so far and had begun to conquer many of the the issues that had blighted her life for so long. I just hope she knew that so many people weren't just blown away by her remarkable talent but loved the caring, funny human being she was.

  • Brian Spence Song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @djaor AH POIS É!!!!

  • Love it Thanks :-)

  • A one of a kind voice and look - there was no one like Dusty Springfield and there will never be. This is a great recording and it looks like she enjoyed it.

  • The Best Female Singer We Ever Had, Pity She Is More Apreciated In Death Than She Was In Life. God Bless You Dusty xxx

  • Thank you, Adeis, for sharing this with us. What a wonderful woman Dusty was.

  • Yeah, good song, Great Talent ,Sadly Misssed...although I did think the original version of this song by Brian Spence was a bit better IMO

    ty 4 posting

  • Thanks for the correction Catherine. Is that CD available still?

    JS

  • Great song! 5*

    Many thanks for posting

  • Enron; World Com; AIG could learn a lesson from this REPUTATION! The board in the early 2000s fired 53% of the CEOs they couldn't see all of the crises but it appears those who were concern and kept quite were the ones who fook millons of retirees to the poor house.

  • One talented lady! Superb song - reputation.....

  • Thank´s for this, great woman, great voice.

  • Looks like Chris Lowe at the end, don't you think?

  • A Goddess for all time, she gave us so much of herself, and kept her pain to herself. Amazing gift to us all, her short life is never forgotten.

  • Wonderful, thanx:)

  • I so love this CD. Her last. RIP my Dusty! All your music lives in my heart!

    JS

  • hi feel the same ! she was truly a legend my favourite of all miss her so much but her great voice lives on.....(shes here)......

  • Her last was A Very Fine Love.

  • Great artist, song and video

    Many thanks for posting

  • Very good, I have the single of this but have never seen the video. The mobile phones at 1:52 bring back memories, they will never catch on :)

  • Brian Spence wrote 'Reputation' but it sure sounds like Pet Shop Boys. It even looks like them in the video.

  • Love her outfit!

  • Amazing how fresh this song still sounds. Touching and uplifting at the same time. I really like the chord changes. This is, of course, all due to the Pet Shop Boys who have written this fantastical piece of pop music. Love it!

  • Pet Shop Boys didn't write or produce this song

  • Dusty Springfield rockt... ;-)

  • she's still one of the best -- I miss her

  • Hot rocker from Dusty is a masterpiece...why was the American public cheated out of this classic...a Euro hit that would have been huge in US with any exposure at all and for shame to the ignorant radio programmers who were sleeping on the job...Bravo DUSTY and we miss you!

  • Loved that goose at the end!

  • Yep she was sensational, there'll never be another. I adored her and still do. I am a regular contributer to these comment pages We have to keep her memory alive

  • Oh!!!!

I have waited so long to find this.

I love Dusty and this is her ultimate statement!!!!

  • Nobody could ever match her talent.

  • great song! but who directed all these videos?

    Its like absolute madness!

Dusty is so good, even 30 years after becoming a star!

  • Great Song!

  • One of my legends. Love you, Dusty!

  • This along with "In Private" , and Liza's "Don't Drop Bombs" (all PSB Collaborations) , remind me of when I "Came Out" - happy days and Great Memories............THX 4 Posting this .....!!!

  • Thanks to Adeis for uploading this video :-) Good work Pet Shop Boys :-)

  • This wasn't a Pet Shop Boys collaboration. 'In Private' was the last thing she did with the Pet Shop Boys.

  • Great Song!

    Many thanks for posting

  • Moorlock says captivating. Abso-bloody-lutely she was WONDERFUL

  • non avevo mai visto questo video, dusty sei mitica, un fan dei grandi pet shop boys

  • haha i agree, i have to do a project on this at collage the only problam is - is im a fucking metal head...

  • I thought this one was done with Pet Shop Boys, was produced by andy richards but it still has that feel about it. A great song and i loved all the reputation cd. She had such a great voice, great records and was glad she made a come back here before she passed away.

  • Here I am again getting my Dusty fix. I like Duffy and think she ought to record a 'Duffy sings Dusty'. Anyone out there think the same

  • I agree..great idea espuetblanc...or bring back Ms. Springfield.......sigh

  • In the wonderful year 1987, Dusty Springfield, with the help of the Pet Shop Boys, staged one of the most welcome comebacks in pop history. "What Have I Done To Deserve This", "In Private", "Nothing Can Be Proved", "Reputation". Just listen to her lovely voice. The slightest inflection in her voice is captivating. A fabulous talent.

  • R.I.P. Dusty.You was great.I Love your Songs.

  • brilliant again Dusty! How did I miss this one in the 80's. Was it a smash? It sounds like it should have been. Ms. Springfield commented about that album that she wanted to make a more comfortable album next one that wouldn't make her feel that she would "explode if I changed key one more time." LOL She sounds like she was also a funny gal. Sorely missed.

  • Sorry for asking this, but is she still alive?

Not quite sure at the moment.

  • No she died quite a few years ago. :-(

It's sad really because she was depressed and had body dysmorphic disorder.

  • did she i nver heard of that apart from the cancer...almost then years she's gone...

  • Thanks for answering my Question.

  • u had body dysmorphic disorder you idiot. Dusty died of cancer when it came back full force in her bones and she suffered much. Sheesh....what the heck is wrong with you

  • what an awesome come-back! - pure class!

  • Just Brilliant...thanks for posting!

Is it me...or does the music of 'today' (Christ...listen to me...I'm only 42)lack passion????

  • probably but we all have different passions . mine is electronic music for example its all about assoiciation .lol

  • Here I am again so what should I do check my e-mails or listen to and watch Dusty. The e-mails can go hang she was so good

  • There are few people who have an amazing voice.....but she was one of them....perfection!

  • Brilliant ... a magnificent, true talent and very sadly missed. Total quality!!!

  • I'm supposed to be checking in my e-mails but I gotta have my Dusty fix first. God she was so good.....T

  • Hmh,I´m at "work"... One can´t get enough of Dusty.

  • Fabulous

  • Putting my comments on here lets me tell the world that I think DUSTY was and still is a fantastic, genuine soul/pop/R'n'B Diva. She really did sing with soul...T

  • God bless your soul, Dusty!!!

  • really was a brill blusey singer

  • Dusty {mary o'brien} gave food for my soul when she sang. It is a crime against humanity that her talent is gone. My heart draws strenght from her performances but my mind cries she is gone, with only echoes of her greatest remaining.

  • WONDERFULL !!! Latvian fans

  • Will we ever see her like again? I think not....

  • Soooper, i loved dusty's PSB years.

  • Gone but not forgotten...

  • I Love Dusty- i miss her fab voice xxxxx

  • fantabulosa!

  • Thank you for this Video I will always be a fan of dusty she is " simply the best ".........

  • So versatile, so beautiful and oh sooooo missed. Thanks for the video.

  • I used to have the 12" import for this. It should have been released the US.

  • Dusty was so wonderful I have only 3 favourite singers Dusty No 1 Maria Callas No2 and Pat Bennetar No3 all sing with SOUL

  • Great video. She was a wonderful singer, and is well missed.

  • Dusty's 1980s comeback was certainly cause for celebration. Thanks to the Pet Shop Boys, Dusty got back in the charts where she belonged.

  • Wonderful!

  • A wonderful strong song backed by a strong orhestra and a powerful dynamo =- named Dusty. We miss you Dusty. Thank you for posting this video.

  • FINALLY! I waited 16 years to see this video! Thanks for posting!

  • she had some voice....She really did, listen to the song with your eyes shut...she was great!

  • I remember my high school buddy using the song Son of a preacher Man as his theme song when he ran for high school president. Both he and Dusty have passed on .

  • COOL VIDEOXXXXXXX

  • amazing - always loved and sadly missed by a german fan

  • Shes so amazing.

Best singer of all time =]

  • What a class act! Dusty... you're a legend.

  • This video only goes to show why Dusty is in the music hall of fame both in the Uk and USA.

  • This song was written by a very talented SCOTSMAN who goes by the name of BRIAN SPENCE formerly of scots rockers BILBO BAGGINS .BRIANS VERSION IS FAR SUPERIOR.

  • Nobody outdoes Dusty. Nobody.

  • amen. lol :P but you're totally true.

  • Never seen this video before..she actually looked like she was having a ball for a change. Thanks!!!

  • Her work is inspirational... such a wonderful smoky voice. Her work "Dusty in Memphis" is a masterpiece. The Bacharach/David song 'In the land of make believe" is gorgeous. Any video to that?

  • Must be one my favourite Dusty songs....ever!!(the 12" version is fabulous!!)

  • Thanks so much for posting, I've been dying to see this for AGES!

  • I didn't know she had a video on this song. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece.

  • The 80's Dusty, still hiding behind her hair and make-up. Another hit from her work with the Pet Shop Boys.

  • Pet shop boys didnt do this song with her, it was only from In private to Occupy your mind (Tracks 6-10 and 14 on remastered cd)

  • good taste jbt hildaquinn
