  • i play the harp too and all i can say about this is beautiful!!!

  • The first Harpist there ever was was satan and when he fell Bless Yahoveh David became a harpist which brought peace to Kind Saul's soul when the demon entered him. To me the harp brings such serenity like the rain. Thank all of you harpists out there bringing your gift for us to enjoy. May He who is the giver of gifts always bless your hands to keep playing music for us to enjoy.

  • "La Devastation De L'amour et La Guerre" By myself, Lonnie Jordan

  • beautifull guys i love the harp and i even play the harp myself. :)

Is the pedal harp easir or harder to play than leaver harp?

  • who composed this song?

  • This is very beautiful. I actually learned the intro on piano when I was bored the other day XD

  • Shat bricks at the Zelda bit.

  • Very lovely. I've always wanted to learn to play the harp, but I don't think there are harp lessons available where I live. : (

  • If this is his own composition then he better sign his name to it because someone will steal it it is very good keep up the good work mate, yes men are the better harpists i only wish that i could afford one i really would love to learn to play The Harp!!!!!!!!.

  • the male harpist on the left is hella sexy.

ahh, harpists. i'll have to marry one.

    love the zelda addition, too.

  • isn't that the song that plays when u enter the graet fairy fountain??

    so beautiful!!!!

  • The world needs more harp music.

  • beautiful

  • your video is :DxD kaputt

  • so beautiful :)

  • La Devastation of Love and War (2006) by Lonnie Jordan

performed by the Princeton University harp students of Elaine Christy

  • wow...... what song is that

  • wait so what song is this exactly??

  • beautiful but the best part if banal, and what the f*** is wrong with u pervert people.

  • It was actually my teacher's suggestion to put it in, I wouldn't have out of respect for the venerable Koji Kondo . I'm happy I wrote it in though cause it came out nice and no one would have seen this video otherwise. I'm working on getting a website up so that people can have scores of all of my things.

  • Cool, so did your teacher hear you play it and say it was interesting? Or did they actually know it was from a game? Do you play other Zelda songs on harp? I would love to hear a solo version of Great Fairy Fountain, especially in higher quality : P

  • Can one of the players please explain why they decided to use Great Fairy Fountain? Was someone a fan of the game? If I had to guess, I would imagine that the kid on the left-most harp suggested the piece, and what a great suggestions... I've only dreamed of Great Fairy Fountain being played on a harp in high quality. Here we have a great composition of it with multiple harps but unfortunately the audio is pretty weak. If anyone can make this happen in higher quality, PLEASE DO!

  • I love the Zelda Great Fairy Fountain part around 3:25 it sounds wonderful, please play more Zelda!

  • I agree with you!

When I heard it, I was like... "That's from Zelda!!"

    Haha.

    Sounded very nice!

  • I think its great. I play harp to and im a guy and as they all say men are stonger than women (or most) so i think thats guys can pull a lot more out of the string than girls, but that doesnt make girls less talented. and i love da fairy fountain song!

  • jeez everyone. im the guy on the left and i wrote this piece "la devastation de l'amour et la guerre" when i was 15. i plan on putting more of my pieces and arrangements on youtube and im glad i got nice responses to this one.

  • I can't explain how extraordinary this piece is, i feel like playing the harp now.

  • I want meet the boy that is playing the harp on video. He is wonderful and have a sublim and divine talent.

    congratulations!!!!

  • Thats quite amazing! Once each harp has played a note, theres no going back is there? The sound just resonates forever, so it sound so mystical ! Wow! Amazing!

    What piece is being played?

  • all of you are truely amazing!! even the lady that is telling you when to play XD

  • Yeah! I think there's a word for that... hhm... Oh! I remember now. CONDUCTOR.

  • Lol Dont be so mad about what other people says

  • Ha, no. I'm not mad. I was just pointing out the obvious. =]

  • Pretty awesome to have huge ass harp at home xD

  • I do one day hope to learn how to play it though...

  • If I had not played the bassoon I would have for sure played the harp...

  • This touches the soul. It is too beautiful for words.

  • Don't worry, ChoiChrisLi, I'm french boy and I play the harp too ;) And know that the best harpist are the men because they generally have more power than a woman!

  • Now wait a minute I didn't say that. I never said men are better harpists than women are. All I said was there are less male harpist in the world, and there are even less asian harpists like me. Women have better grace, poise and repertoire. But I'd like to see more male ASIAN harpists like myself as well as more male harpists all together.

~Chris Choi AKA Seoul's Lonely HarPist

  • You two are silly.

  • Well synchronized (sp???). I suppose having a conductor type person would help a lot... I've played a few harp ensemble pieces and sometimes the timing is off (we can't tap our feet when they're moving pedals!). Well done.

  • Gostei muito desse video, os 4 jovens estão de parabéns, gostaria de saber como faço pra me comunicar com o menino da primeira harpa que está tocando...

  • *-* the part when he play fairy fountain it´s beautiful!!!! *-* fave!

  • *tearz* fairy fountain....so amazingly beautiful.

  • Wow. A harp quartet. I love playing the harp. And yes the majority of harpists are women, but I'm one of those MALE harpists. I can play any song a woman can. Anyway... Wow. I was astonished and wordless when I saw this quartet of harpists. I wish I had a trio to play with. But sadly, no one I know plays the harp, except for my cousin, but a harp duet isn't as fun as a harp quartet.

  • Superbe!

What can give you more joy than playing in a harp quartet?

    Nothing, if you ask me!

  • it's interesting how some people would think harp is an intrument for girls, and it's true that most harpist are female, but people find male harpist most fascinating.

  • the one guy in this is my friend and he wrote most of this. he took little parts from other songs but most of this is his own composition

  • @armageddon23 wow, just plain WOW that's amazing

  • @harplyong cause like women harps are angelic

  • yo this is crazy ill

  • very good.

  • omg that is beautiful!
