  • Freaked me out when it said that the account related to this video has been terminated so they were going to make it not available anymore. That blows if real death means virtual communal contributions vanish. I really appreciate that the person spent a great deal of time standing on a chair in the back of a balcony to give us this video 20 years later. Thanks mate. Rest in peace.

  • nirvana first played pennyroyal tea in i think 1990. the date is right

  • O maior, melhor, simplesmente Nirvana, Kurt, diz o que é essa musica. Kurt...

  • New solo-artist,Ransley.Check out all uploads on this channel.

  • they are not suppost to play both of these back to back because they are pretty much the same song ... :/

  • "cherry-flavored and acid" haha

  • @Thomann1984 The song said "Cherry- Flavored ANTIACIDS"...

  • @Thomann1984 The song said "Cherry-Flavored ANTIACIDS" Antiacidos sabor a cereza ;)

  • @francofellay09

No, the official lyrics say "ANTACIDS", but listen twice to Cobain's intonation and you'll maybe get what I mean.

  • @Thomann1984 Yes... You´re right... Sorry ;)

  • @francofellay09

    Never mind, dude. ;)

  • AWSOME

  • The old camcorders have a much better audio than the new ones xD

  • good video, nirvana is the best band in all world

  • awesome clip, sigh...gotta luv Nirvana:)

  • yeah am bringing it back with a grunge ROBOT DRUMMER

  • what chords is he playin??

this is the only version i found wher hes playin full chords...

a to g for the chorus? fuckkk its not like this on any tabs i found! ughh damn u kurt!

  • it's the same like he played on the In Utero version, he just doesn't play single notes.

ps.: sorry for my bad english, I hope you know what I mean.

  • On In Utero it's in half step down. so if you tune to 1/2 step down and go from E to A to G to C it should work fine.

It can be played either with full chords or power chords, doesn't really matter. You could also try mixing them! that's what Kurt did. =)

  • yaa thnx..

this is the only song i cant get rite by him.

    idk y

  • Dumb is such a beutiful song. it's a smack in the face to all thoes idiots that claim nirvana hide there lack of talent through distortion. there is real talent there

  • Eh.. I've listened to Nirvana for 11 years maybe? I'm 15, Still my favourite band, will always be, whatever.

All Kurt's music has it's own message, even though it maybe wasn't meant to be there, it is there, and it's always "beautiful" in a different way. No song sounds like another, except Drain You and Do Re Mi, Same chords but in different octaves

    Oh well!

    Have a nice day ;]

  • I agree Nirvana is still my all time favourite band to!!!Their music is just totally unique!!Without really trying very hard Kurt wrote the best songs..Without really wanting to be great he had it all!!!!

  • Nirvana man those were the days. The 90's were golden years for grunge. No grunge now.

  • grunage can still come back, people just have to start listening to good music instead of bullshit like deathcab for cutie and fall out boy..they arent rock, i dont know what they are. but i am in a band now and we have every intention of returning our own variation of grunge because grunge was awesome but im sure there are cool young bands that havent been noticed yet that were inspired by the grungie 90's and i cant wait to hear them

  • That is true. The masses have to want to listen to grunge though. The crap rock that is around now just needs to die. I could name countless bands that are all about image and don't really write intellegent lyrics. Bands these days just whip a song together, and it is utter shit. I think record companies and bands just care about money. In the 60's to the 90's bands put passion into their music. The stuff that is on radio is just crap.

  • music is to disposable today for grunge to come back, in the 90's people had to spend money on music therefore they wouldnt waste money on something they didnt like, they made sure they bought something that they loved, now you can download any song any where any time, so people can basically choose what music that want to associate with there image to fit in rather then choose music they like, i like downloading music, but metallica was right napster FUCKED the music industry

  • @LaynesAddiction damn i never thought of it that way (about metallica and napster). that is so true, downloading music killed the music industry!

  • @LaynesAddiction you said it bro. napster ruins the real spirit of music

  • the record execs almost decided to buy napster way back when, but then they decided to have faith in humanity by thinking "people will buy a cd of a band they like" man they were wrong, if they had bought napster, musicians would still have musical freedom, now they can only get paid if they conform to becoming a pussy emo band or a rapper, also new cool genres would be possible cause there would be so much revenue in the music industry to invest in new bands

  • The First Performace of this song was Ramp Cafe 90

  • i believe dumb was first performed in 1990

  • that´s right and they played radio friendly unit shifter too.

  • Wow! two songs performed a little less than two years before In Utero was released.

  • cant find words to say how great they are

  • yeh in wikipedia it sez recorded 1993

    ?????

    did you record this?

  • I think that refers to the studio version and it was recorded in late 1992 and released in 1993

  • dumb?!!!

    pennyroyal tea??!!!

    in 1991?!!!!

i thought it was in 1993

  • they recorded them for in utero in 1993 but they had been playing them for a long time before (just with minor differences).

  • yeah, god people work it out innit!

  • he forgot the text at mend it with you :P

  • Nirvana began to tune their instruments down a full step when they recorded In Utero. That's why the song sounds a bit different

  • Not a full step, just half a step.

  • shit man they played hella in-utero back in the nevermind days

  • DUMB one of my favorites

  • they played the song a bit higher.

  • thats true good that u mentioned it

  • cool

  • Two in one is great!!!! Thanks for bringing Kurt to us!

  • Pennyroyal Tea. Huge song, even with awful sound quality.

  • i think krist's bass is too distorted just doesnt sound right to me

  • the camera and the VHS is too old, bad bass quality

Krist's bass sounded normally at live performance.

  • he's a lefty ^.^... i'm a righty.. ='(

  • is it me or is kurt a lefty?

  • he was

  • god, you should know that :P

  • dumb and you know you re right r my fav songs

  • This would have been my ultimate nirvana experiance. sadly it was never to be.

  • a question for the person who posted this- first of all awesome clip! but are you sure about the date? im aware that they recorded alot of stuff that kurt had written long before 93, but most of the demos I've heard are basically embryonic versions of what are on the record-and these are so close to that! anyway great job

  • Yep, it's the correct date. :p

  • GREAT SOLO!!

  • As we see here, half of In Utero is Nevermind b-sides.

  • Most Nirvana songs were written way before they made it on the 4 cd's they have. They pumped out a large amount of music in a very very short time.
