Sweet - I grew up in Hawaii hearing these little 'meijiro' chirping in the trees first thing in the morning - one time a family was nesting in a tree outside our house. I love these birds, so nice you are taking good care of this one and obviously he is very happy.:)

Dear meriprem, haven't you read the explanation which is up on the right corner under my icon?

I don't keep the bird, you understand it?

Besides, they keep the cage open all the time and the bird flies out and in quite freely.

Much better than a much bigger cage that's locked up I guess.

The bird shown in the video reminds me of a sweet exotic migratory bird that came to visit me one day....he had a broken wing, so my partner and I took him to the pet shop to get him seeds and a cage, but when we got there, an old bald guy asked to see the bird, and when he did, he assaulted us of being in "violation of several federal state laws". He ill-advised us and told us the small animal clinic would take care of him and nurse him to health, but they..

I dont get up to Parry Sound as much now that I'm working in Windsor. But now the plant closure has been slated , I'll spend some time up there with them before I split to live in . .  . drumroll please . . . an old growth forest in Louisiana !

A whole new range of wildlife !

Thank you Kaycatkat ! This is the kind of thing we all dream to do with our birds !

I love this video ! When I go to visit my Father in Northern Ontario , Canada, birds suddenly just fly down and land upon him.

Some even start looking for the food that they know he has in his pockets. It's quite funny when I take a freind , and when a bird sits upon him he doesn't pay any attention , the freinds invariably say, " Hey , there's a bird sitting on your shoulder !".

Yes, it's a Japanese white-eye.

As I mentioned in the information, he (turned out to be a male) was raised by some kind men at a gas station in the neighborhood.

Pistachio is his favorite. :-)

I have one aswell, amazing little birds. So very affectionate : ) she comes everywere with me the only time she is in her cage is when she is sleeping. Oh yes she ADORES cucumber hehehehe. Lovley 5 stars!
