@QuasarEE The power suit falls off when Samus loses concentration or becomes stressed. She has to be totally in control of her mind to use the power suit. Read the Metroid manga.

Before he came along and reinvented the series in his own image, much like Igarashi did with Castlevania, there was no such concept of the power suit falling off or disappearing. I would think the mightiest Chozo warriors would never have relied on an armor system that easily defeated. Then again, Sakamoto's Metroid barely acknowledges the Chozo as an important part of the canon anyway so go figure.

Nintendo had Metroid, and Xbox had Halo. Metroid Prime and Halo were both great games. But I'd have to say Halo brought you into a world you've never seen before. Halo wins.

No, 4 is what killed what RE was. It had crap atmosphere, turned Leon into an ass, fed you ammo, got rid of backtracking and interlocking areas, had the single worst plot of the entire series, was the least relevant of the main games, and was just one slap-in-the-face after another. It doesn't matter how many awards or anything it won. Both it and 5 are fun as hell. But as RE game they suck ass.

Amazing Game! Metroid Prime nailed the combination of adventure and exploration; I truely felt isolated while playing this game, the rush to push forward into the unknown, 10/10, 5 Stars, this game is in My Top 10!
@SamusAranization how could you not like the music?! that game has some of the best music ever. it's not because it's "epic" (all the boss music is though [Meta Ridley]) but because it describes all the areas perfectly. it all makes it feel so desolate, and that nobody is going to save you if you get hurt. it makes you feel fear, sadness, pain, and excited all at once. so far the only games that had similar successes are ones by RareWare (not rare ltd.) and those had the exact opposite effects
@waxford13 I agree that it's important for music to create a mood that suits the setting. But I really thought Prime's music was uninspiring. I prefer Super Metroid's music

this trailer looks like shit. Don't get me wrong metroid prime is possibly my favorite game of all time, but this doesn't really give the right feel to the game.
One of the ways you know Other M is fucked up is cause people are arguing about. With all the other Metroid games you had debates, but Other M split the Metroid fanbase for the first time, thats how you know it sucked...

Was never really a fan of the first game. I loved Echoes, though. Corruption was decent.

Amazing Game! Metroid Prime nailed the combination of adventure and exploration; I truely felt isolated while playing this game, the rush to push forward into the unknown, 10/10, 5 Stars, this game is in My Top 10!

@SamusAranization how could you not like the music?! that game has some of the best music ever. it's not because it's "epic" (all the boss music is though [Meta Ridley]) but because it describes all the areas perfectly. it all makes it feel so desolate, and that nobody is going to save you if you get hurt. it makes you feel fear, sadness, pain, and excited all at once. so far the only games that had similar successes are ones by RareWare (not rare ltd.) and those had the exact opposite effects

@waxford13 I agree that it's important for music to create a mood that suits the setting. But I really thought Prime's music was uninspiring. I prefer Super Metroid's music

@waxford13 And I'm not saying Prime's music is bad. It just doesn't appeal to me. Sorry for the shameless plug, but you should check out my channel's Metroid videos. Ever heard Big Giant Circles' "Bounty of a Brain"? Or The Wingless' "Edenal"? Those are a couple of my favorite Metroid remixes and I have videos for each. Oh, btw, I've only played through Prime a little ways, so I haven't heard a lot of its music. But I've seen several videos on YouTube for the music of the Prime series

Great commercial. This is why I bought Metroid Prime. The trailer doesn't even do the game justice, which is quite a rare occurrence. :)

this trailer looks like shit. Don't get me wrong metroid prime is possibly my favorite game of all time, but this doesn't really give the right feel to the game.

One of the ways you know Other M is fucked up is cause people are arguing about. With all the other Metroid games you had debates, but Other M split the Metroid fanbase for the first time, thats how you know it sucked...
