That was the first concert I was at, was a fuckin' kid back then Hahahah This concert, including the acoustic set was about 3 1/2 hours long!!! Plus - even though Bochum - Zeche is very small, we made noise for 3000 tlll the air was burning hahah. Rage On!

Two TOTALLY different types of songs.

Rage=Pure grinding 8 bar rock

Yes=Varied and technically complex progressive rock

Depends what you're into I guess...

Let's just say that Rage would have their hand's full trying to cover Yes' Soundchaser. Yes on the other hand could play the Rage song in their sleep.

Complex doesn't always = better song. But in this case it does for me.

Get it right fellas, imho they're both great but they're not the same. Rage's Soundchaser is both an album and the main character of their concept album (which is a pretty cool 3-skulled mechanical snake?). Anyway, DON'T expect any Yes around, although THAT soundchaser is very very good as well.

but in the past they often changed. not only the three line-ups. or four.

in the 80's they played pure power-metal with high vocals, in the beginning of the 90's they sounded more thrashy (does this word exist?) - missing link, black in mind etc. after "end of all days" they started the lingua mortis erea and with smolski they made more progressive music.

and on "speak of the dead" they remembered their classic side ones more. a lot of changes, am i right?

I´m german. He was in a musicstore called Schoenau (best place to be =)) and made a workshop. Near Frankfurt. Really very cool! Nice equipment as well ;) although i wondered about his guitars... Didn´t think that Viktor Smolski could get that nice sound with a Yamaha e-guitar.. ich got an acoustic wich would be worth 3.000€ but e-guitar for 350...:P

I use a Yamaha RGX421... almost the same as Victor xD too sad it doesn't make me play as good as he does :( One of my all-time-favourite guitar players besides Gary Moore, Dimebag, Chris Broderick and Alex Skolnick. Incredibly fast, but never boring (like MAB :P) and very emotional... you got to love this guy. Hope the new album will get better then the last one...
