  • @ash56027: Check out my website, Modern Blues Harmonica, especially the Beginners page.....

  • i know, just have to ask cause i dont know whats a bass harp?

  • Great sound and a really nice groove!

  • That was SICK buddy...nice work! You switched harps so fast at one point it looked like a jump cut....

  • Outstanding job on this song!

  • Best cover of S&S I ever heard starts @ 1:25

    Thank you, Adam. Wicked stuff!

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, Adam, but I think you mentioned Sanford and Son in one of your raw beginners videos. Regardless, keep harpin' it up for all of us YouTubers.

  • Very cool!

  • Is that a Honda 350 Scrambler? cool, thanks for all the music Adam!

  • @resojoe: You've got good eyes! It's a 1973.

  • best known......Sesame Street!

  • adam how do you play blues freestyling with no music i can't seem to do it i have the feel and the passion for the harmonica but can't play without a beat since i learned by ear also i want to have an awesome sound but still sound unique and original without copying anybody elses licks any advice for that watch my vids and let me know if my styles my own and if it's possible to build off of it and progress..

  • The best version of SAS I ever hoid.

  • Dude, you rock! Groovy!

  • That drum you're using is a neat idea. Not even five minutes ago I was just thinking about how I could rig up something like that, haha.

  • Hello, i cant read This video on my iPhone. A new option in you tube : when you send your video on you tube, There is a option: " autorise people to read This video on an mobil phones." tanks!

  • Adam Gussow is "The Man." This is the greatest harmonica instruction, period. Thanks for doing such a fantastic job and really making it so fun to learn. The album "Kick and Stomp" rocks, too.

  • HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ADAM!!! Thank you once again for being a world-class mentor. You have literally changed my life and my entire direction as a musician. I have bounced from style to style and countless different mechanisms of musical expression, but finally, thanks to your influence, I have finally found my niche. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Aside from getting the 1/2 steps and whole steps cleanly in tune, I'm also now working on trying to capture that sweet vibrato tone you get on the 1 draw (@6:06).

Thanks as always for inspiring me to tend to my too-often neglected stepchild (that is, blues harmonica).

  • very good my friend !!

  • good stuff adam keep it up! i'll try to finish it up when i have a few minutes

  • I miss my Honda 360!

  • I love that groove!!!!!!! Elizabeth!!!! I'm coming!!! Awesome groove and awesome show.

  • That was awesome! Thanks for posting. I've grabbed by harmonica, but I think that I should wait until the morning since it's likely that I'll wake my family.

  • Nicely done. I'll definitely be adding this to my repertoire. My personal favorite tv show theme: Rockford Files... some nice harmonica riffs in there, too.

  • that was great!!! I hear it at night on tv what a great show RIP Redd Foxx

  • Congrats on your 4 year anniversary Adam!

  • i really appreciate someone with such talent and knowledge taking the time to explain an instrument the right way... I picked up the harp and very quickly found your videos... then lost my Bb marine band in the fox river (the harp you recommended) and haven't played since... this video just made me decide to buy a new harp and start playing again. thank you for you dedication to the art

  • Adam, I would like to thank you for this. I have only been playing on a regular basis for about a year now, but have wanted to see an adaptation of this song for years! It is my ring tone on my phone and gets great comments out in public when it rings! Anyway, I just came across your vids a couple weeks ago, and you have already helped my playing greatly. Congrats on the four year mark and I hope to be listening and watching and playing along in another four!! Keep it up!

  • If you could go over some songs form your C.D harlem blues that would be great . it is one of the best C.d.'s period

  • @ArtofDreaming1: I did a bit of that in the first year of this series, back in 2007. YouTube search: gussow harmonica c c rider, for example.....also: gussow harmonica groovy people

  • Four years? I've watched 'em all from the beginning. Thanks for continuing the journey Adam. Cool tune

  • did you move your wood shed to the garage?

  • I wonder what it was those four years ago, to the very day, that made you turn on your camera and share your harp skills with the rest of the world. Must've been something about that day

  • I don't think we know this one this side of the pond!.

  • Where did those 4 years go.You started the HARP club in Philly 3 years ago July 31.That is going well also. Thanks Adam

  • Love the vids, being a 45 yr old beginning harp player I am learning as I watch. This time as I tried to play along and I finally got the warble to sound decent (did no justice to the rest of the song). Keep puttin them up here and I will keep learning. Thanks

  • And we appreciate that 4 years , thanks so much !

  • haha that's great man

  • For sure, there is something of "Sanford and Son" in your garage! I'm one of your biggest fan but would you mind if I tell you that ? => I think your adaptation is great but it would be nicer (to my ears) if you could add some modulation with your foot drum (using more or less strength, Deak Harp is doing like this sometimes and he drives the people crazy). Anyway, I love your energy and your unique style.

  • well Kudzu it was nice but my brain only holds certain parts of the song and just probably the opening. thanks Kudzu I wish I was your neighbor and learn more from ya.

  • Great vid, thanks and Happy 4th YT-BD :-)

  • Great sound! Great Truck! Thanks Adam!!

  • Awesome brother !

    Stu

  • and thanks for all the vid's you have made over the pased four years . you are the harmonica man .

  • nice i always like that song. love that truck nice

  • concratulations on your fourth anniversary! dan independence missouri

  • Wow, that gave me shivers! That's got to be the most deep-seeded harmonica song in my brain!

By the way, I think you mentioned it in passing early on when you were discussing people's preconceived notions of harmonica.

    Great stuff as always!

  • congrats on the 4 years.......keep up the good work!!

  • Congratulations Adam, been with you all the way and what a ride !!!

  • Great stuff, Adam. Thx for 4 awesome years of your videos!
