I still think that the power meter as seen in this game is the best shot taking mechanic there has ever been for a golf video game. It had just the right amount of uncertainty because no matter how well you think you'd nailed the timing, when the pressure was on you could totally screw it up.

hey im running this game on dosbox and was wondering if anyone has the codes for the yardage of the holes at the beggining of the game?

I was about 8 when this was out, used to play it with brokther in law every weekend when i stayed over. Happy times man, can still hear the ball hit the pin and the wind changing at the last second and ruining the entire hole!

This game was AWESOME, the music is amazing, it brings back so many memories from my childhood. I swear this is better than PGA 96 on the Mega Drive. I have 96 and the camera angles aren't as good as this and the music is nowhere near as good either lol.

One of the best Golf games I ever played! I remember when EA came out with battery back up cartridges that gave you the option to save games, and that was what made this game so big in terms of longevity. It also had a great engine too.

This is nuts! I used to play this with my grandad on a sunday when he came over. I still remember taking his shot when he was out talking to my mum and when he came back in i was busted. My instinct reaction was to cry like a little baby! Legend of a man, legend of a game!

Wow this was amazing this game back in the day for AMIGA we use to play it I NEVER MADE THE CUT EVER and it had tournament earnings and everything my brother and my dad are golf pros dad played in the british open and other various professional tournaments when he was 20-26 and he and my brother were both GUNS at this game.

Yup!! PGA TOUR 3 was the best!!! Just after this version.. I still have my Sega but the controllers are shot. We played this game too along with the European Tour game. These were tougher than the current line of Tiger Woods games today. Good times.. 420 on eagles!! lol.
