NO GUYS HE IS A FUCKING MONSTER WHY WON'T YOU BELIEVE MEEEEE

  • When I was 6, I had a nightmare that Raggedy Andy was trying to kill me.

Then I grew into an adjusted adult.

  • "I really wish I wasn't reading this."

    GOD DAMN RIGHT.

Never read the Nightmare Fuel based pages after midnight. If you think that's an incredibly stupid idea you'd be right.

  • That poor guy that talked about his nightmare of throwing his puppy over his balcony was the most normal guy I've seen so far on this,

  • Background music for this series: classical masterpieces, rock legends, and the miracle matter boss theme from kirby 64. Of course

  • Some of them are actually scary and or can be effraying, not the ones with clowns. Dreams can be fucked up, you can be scared off something youl would not be normally.

Another bunch of idiots on youtube. Would you imagine yourself shatting blood ? Would that be scary to you ? That would mean there was something wrong with you. You guys thinks it's funny ? Sure is.

Oxygen and everything is indeed poisonous. IT IS NECESSARY TO LIVE but if we did not need to breath we would be immortals.

  • The HONF pages are seriously lame. I scare easily and these people live sheltered lives, evidently.

  • "Water poisoning?"

    ...

    I think you mean drowning.

  • @CiceroHill There is such a thing as water poisoning. When an excessive amount of water is consumed, the electrolyte and solute balance in the body's cells is disrupted, and this can cause disturbances in brain function.

  • @CiceroHill ZING!

  • 2:08

    What a fucking idiot.

Oxygen is not poisonous in any quantity.

The danger comes from setting something on fire.

  • @KlLLAH573

They worded it horribly, but there is such a thing as oxygen poisoning. Concentrated oxygen breathed at elevated pressure levels causes cell damage and can result in death.

It's only really a concern if you're a scuba diver or a premature baby, though. P:

  • @lishakara Oh, I see, although I was thinking mostly about atmospheric pressure.

  • "water poisoning is a very serious thing as of late." uh... are you sure? "I think of myself as a heroic sociopath". Now that is scary.

  • I laughed way too hard at clown mirrors.

  • I loled at the reading of "shat blood" entry.

  • As we all know, most tropers are big wussies who wet their pants whenever they hear the ice cream truck come around the corner.

  • miracle matter's theme

  • CLOWN MIRRORS MOTHERFUCKER

  • Sewer bears rule.

  • After coming here after watching the fetish video, these all seem a lot more disturbing.

  • Listening to amateur voiceover work this teeth-grindingly horrible is low octane nightmare fuel.

  • 1: 58 isn't all that bad. It's oddly disturbing, though it doesn't qualify as High Octane Nightmare Fuel.

    1:20 is funny

  • I've honestly never been scare of any of the entries I've read (well, maybe a few under RealLife/HighOctaneNightmareFuel). It seems like most tropers are a bunch of wimps who'd get scared by simply hearing a pin drop.

  • I'm sick and tired of everyone being so "Clowns R Scary!" Clowns can be funny, annoying, and weird, but the "Scary Clown" cliche has been played out to death. I think we can blame the unoriginal hack fucks in Hollywood and Video games.

  • The sole dislike of this video was subsequently eaten by a sewer bear.

  • Shitting blood isn't nightmare fuel. It's Crohn's Disease.

  • "Nightmare Fuel" is something that is /very/ scary, not "Baww a battle in Zelda scared me when I was 6".

Though the piano in SM64 was pretty terrifying.

  • The entire site is High Octane Nightmare Fuel!

  • The only high octane nightmare fuel is that Troper Tales has people who are THIS stupid.

  • Can they please have an "Unsettling Imagery" trope? People always list generally non scary things like a Hotel Mario level.

  • Great choice of music!

  • 0:48 oh, fuck! Watch out for the edge here. I might need stitches.

  • @Saeldur i enjoy these videos and think these people are pretty silly, but this comment. this comment ugh.

people with phobias never post about them? and if they do they're constantly screaming about it? wait, what? please, enlighten as to how phobias work and how people with ~legitimate~ phobias react to their fears. christ, they made a single shitty post on a shitty site. it's not like they've got a personal blog all about how clowns scare them.

  • Aww... you just ruined this piece of kirby music forever.

  • clowns are cute XD where does the fear come from?

  • @kingdomofheaven666 Snowflakes seem to think it makes them edgier.

  • Oh god. The words above "I really wish I wasn't reading this." D:

  • I just realized that "clown mirror" was probably supposed to mean something like a funhouse mirror.

Oh, Christ, and then I realized that moron would probably also be afraid of a funhouse mirror.

  • If you've just shat blood, what you should do is to see a doctor, not writing about it on some shitty site.

  • @fslpoon the tvtropes site isn't that bad, it's just the troper tales pages that make it look bad.

  • The "High Octane Nightmare Fuel Troper Tales" condensed into one sentence.

"This Troper is A HUGE FREAKIN PUSSY."

  • @BERTMARCH I could point out some examples of genuinely horrifying stuff... but I'm having trouble finding any on the page. Most of them are baaaaawfests along the lines of "I had a personal tragedy!", which is kind of not even close to what the page is supposed to be.

...just skimming it over... yep, this is just complaining about shit for the most part. Goddammit.

  • @EponymousKid Which is why I never bother with troper tales.

  • Troper Tales is my freaking High Octane Nightmare Fuel.

  • 0:54 i think i know this voice she works at subway maybe

  • @SZF123456 Maybe you go to Subway too much.

  • @CrazyGoggs

    Eat fresh.

  • @SZF123456 I just had some Subway 30 minutes ago, lol.

Before you ask - no, I didn't hear that girl there.

  • I like how the "high octane" page is even less scary than regular one. I think.

  • Oh, Paranoia Fuel too. That one will be awesome, methinks.

  • Do Tear Jerker and Heroic BSOD. You'll definitely find some great pickings there.

  • Being afraid of clowns is like being afraid of magnets.

  • @officialunofficial Magnets r fukken scary dood! Like, how do they even werk?

  • @EponymousKid Magic and Miracles.

  • @officialunofficial @EponymousKid I hope you both drown in Faygo. >:|

  • stagger you vids more plz. im getting aspie overload with like 6 vids in the last few days

  • @GlassJoe1980 Try taking some medication for that.

  • @GlassJoe1980

"Aspie overload" is a little offensive. :/

  • I'm glad they made a page for two different kinds of nightmare fuel. Makes TV Tropes feel like a fucking test.

  • @samuraikarasu I've wanted to do an episode highlighting the most useless tropes but I don't think I could fit over 1000 tropes in one episode.

  • @CrazyGoggs

Just have the list speed by, we can pause to read

  • I didn't notice the unbirthing conversaton happening. Thanks for pointing that out. :C

  • Oh of COURSE they have a conversation about unbirthing. Stay classy troper tales!

  • I was afraid of clowns, when I was fucking 6, by the time you are old enough to post on a website, stupid shit should not scare you.

  • Oh, Christ, the unbirthing thing and the ridiculous thread mode chatter. You should've picked at that one. First you let me off the hook, now this? For shame.

  • @BackgroundBailey I'm sort of hearing you on clowns (a little), but ultimately the point is that this just doesn't belong on the site. It's just like Fetish Fuel, it's devolved to the point that it has nothing to do with tropes anymore.

  • Wait, what's with the poison comment? That one kinda of makes sense if you think about it.

And to be honest, being a little...er...freaked out by clowns myself, I was almost taking that one troper serious until she mentioned Tim Curry in drag...what did that have to do with anything?

  • @BackgroundBailey

"The dose makes the poison" is pretty much the first thing you learn in toxicology.

I have no idea why you would get nightmares from that though.

  • HEROIC SOCIOPATH

    DERP I AR RORSCHCOCH

  • @GoldNCase Well, he was right about one thing; he probably does have a Narcissistic personality.

  • @BackgroundBailey

    Don't we all?

  • @GoldNCase Eh....maybe, depending on how loose or strict your definition of "ego" is...but I like to think that some people are still more capable of humility than others. At the very least, if you don't call yourself a hero, whether or not you've ever done anything heroic in the first place, you probably don't have too much of an ego.

  • @GoldNCase

DERP I LOK DOWN AN WISPER NO

  • "this tropette"

NO. NO. NO. FUCK YOU. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  • @SpamNapkin Yeah, that's kind of even weirder than just saying "Troper". Actually, can't they think of a better term than "troper" come to think about it?

  • @SpamNapkin what's so wrong with it?

  • @UltimateJasper everything

  • @SpamNapkin elaborate?
