@folatom Eno produced there second album, but they met Eno a couple months before that. not to sure about the mugging though.

@sydbarret1973 According to the commentary on "Chronology", David said it happened when he was playing in the bathroom with his sister.

I've also heard that he got mugged and that's what happened with his tooth, but I'll take David's word on what happened.

These sweet early tunes are great. With the blackened tooth he looks like he's been in a scrum in his rugby guernsey. I'll bet it is stagecraft, a forerunner to wearing a massive suit as he did later.
