  • 2:52 look at the guy flying!

  • its funny carthage people are from North Africa (modern Tunesia ,Marocco,....)and

they try to give european look to Hannibal lol

  • @paymanmktr I think the actors look their parts well. All of them look Mediterranean.

Now if Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise played Hannibal then that's when one can complain.

  • Alexander the Great could have beaten him :)

  • @RTWdude hmmm i think it would have been a great battle if both commanders had battled (let alone live in the same era). Hannibal usually tried to envelop his enemy cutting off their escape, but Alexander would have stopped that from happening with his companion cavalry, like at Gaugamela

  • Hannibal - exceeded in genius only by Scipio Africanus.

  • @deino117 Nah, Scipio learned from Hannibal. Saying Scipio is better than Hannibal is like saying Wellington is better than Napoleon. It just doesn't cut it.

  • @ManilaSyndicate But you have to take into account the brilliant achievements earlier in Scipio's career - victories he pulled off entirely on his own, without "learning" from anyone.

  • @deino117 Brilliant indeed ( doesn't Ilipa take your breath away? ), but study his battles closely and the Hannibal influence immediately comes out.

  • @ManilaSyndicate or Montgomery was better than Rommel :)

  • @dessert57 Or Grant was better than Lee. True. :-)

  • @ManilaSyndicate You mean like saying that Einstein wasn't better than his Science teacher

  • Why dont they make a movie about Hannibal? I think that could even match up with the movie Gladiator

  • @alexelias1984 No please don't. Gladiator is a bunch of rubbish and is only suitable for people with the attention span the width of a Sparrow's ankle.

There is a very good book called the "Fall of Carthage" that gives an "action" packed account of all 3 Punic wars.

Unless, your plan is to get them to keep releasing epic old world battle movies, so that they overcommit through the centre and then the Libyan Infantry will crush their flanks with no quarter given.

    Fuck Hollywood!

  • hahah doctor Bashir

  • Scipio was better in my opinion.

He is a cunning strategist .

    but Hannibal is also great

  • this was the biggest military slaughter in europe until WOI

  • THERE WILL BE NO MERCY FOR ROMAN PIGS!!!!

  • Lol...slowest charge ever.

  • Hannibal lost his right eye, nto his left..

  • 0:50 the guy makes the speech sound gay

  • at 0:54 its the 200BC version of the vuvuzela!

  • 80,000 Roman Heavy Infranty Flanked by 6,000 Roman Cavalary.

Hannibal deployed his infantry in a bow formation, with the belly of the bow facing the enemy, as the belly gave growd the flanks would hold, and draw the romans into a killbox, Hannibal himself manned the Belly of the bow, while his brother lead the cavalry onslaught which obliterated the roman cavalry.

Hannibal slaughtered 70,000 men... in 6 hours.

  • @STEPHENDANERD Hannibal himself didnt, his retainers.. some who had been campaigning for the most 15 years with Hannibal did most of the work, Hannibal lead

  • @Armeda99 I meant his tactics were responsible for it not him himself:|

  • but wait a second here

it seems like the romans that hannibal managed to surrond, all this time, was simply a wave of the attack,as hannibal said,"the romans will draw in another wave of infantry"

so they spent all their troops surronding that one attack, wouldnt the rest of the roman army just rush in and finish them off?!?!?

and wtf?"they will think they have won,let them taste victory",huh, you do realize thousands of men are being killed as part of your strategy there

  • @ulongkoror

"so they spent all their troops surronding that one attack, wouldnt the rest of the roman army just rush in and finish them off?!?!?"

The video is fun, but not entirely accurate. As far as the Romans were concerned they were about to punch a hole in the Carthaginians centre, so they kept pouring in more and more men. The Carthaginians were to their front and on their flanks, but it wasn't until the bulk of the Roman army were in the bag that Hannibal's cavalry took them in the rear.

  • how come it seems like the bigger army always loses?like when hannibal had 50k vs 30k in the final battle where he lost

  • @ulongkoror Because Army's with larger number are mostly over confident while smaller army's will tend to find a super tactic which the big army won't expect. However this rule is not always true.

  • at 0:08 they didnt had those things on horses where you put your feet in, those were deffeloped in the middle ages

  • The only weakness the Roman Armies had was their lack of understanding of cavalry. Their infantry was outstanding, but they just never bothered with horsemen.

  • @samk1101 Romans had Equites, more wealthy men, but that was about it untill they developed legionaries and cohorts so then they mounted them with spears.

  • Amazing! Both Romans and Carthaginians speak perfect English.

  • @BillDFC You're saying you'd prefer a documentary in Latin aye? You must be really stupid.

  • And that is what a battle of annihilation looks like.

  • haha atrocity is that if they had done this would be dead Romans 1:37

  • the beginning is kinda bad (in my opinion) some dramatic guy saying "you must hold them back, even if we suffer terrible losses, bla bla.." or something like that. the Iberian/Carthaginian/Gaul cavalry was far better then the roman cavalry, cause they just sucked(historically speaking ofcourse)

  • Hannibal to był gość ;) Ale jak zwykle wszystko spieprzyła polityka w Kartaginie

  • Carthage is part of North African and European history. I have no idea why these Lebanese/Phonecians and black Africans try, piously, to appropriate it as their own. The Punics were no doubt a composite race, much like the Anglo-Saxons - whom we never include as Germans. It should be accepted that the Anglo-Saxons are particular to the geography Britain as the Punics/Carthaginians are to North Africa.

  • @PanMaghrebist Actually the Punics were probably nothing like the natives. They would sometimes get children with the native Lybians but those descendents became Lybian-Punic with not the same rights as ordinary Punics.

  • @Spartiatai300 Actually you have no idea what you're talking about. You’re funny though; assuming the position of an ancient lawyer; pretending to have knowledge of the legal system of Carthage.

DNA analysis testifies to the isolation of all North Africans from Levantine populations.

Oddly, ancient Greeks regarded the people to their north, beyond the Danube - like where the Netherlands is - as less than human because of their pink faces and yellow hair. So your devotion to them amuses me.

  • @PanMaghrebist Go ask Historians or shut the fuck up. Punic peoples are related to the Jews, Jewish language is used to translate Punic tests.

If you don't believe me go to RomanArmyTalk and ask Historians instead of talking out of your ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @Spartiatai300

I have to correct you, JEWS are euro CONverts. Its pronounced as yee hu dee.

Hebrew is a dialect that originates from CANAANITE. Phoenician is in the same locality.

Carthage predates Yee hu deeism, In essence they r ASIAN settlers, we r a diverse race. Its the same race. Look at customs, traditions & religion ie BAAL.

    Historians are polluted & corrupt.

  • @HANNIBALbengal Yet know it better then you.

  • @Spartiatai300 So would your ignorant mind include African Americans as English people. After all, it doesn’t take a linguist to recognise them as English speakers. But it should be clear they are not English, to say the least.

Language by itself does not support your...argument for lack of a better word. And RomanArmyTalk offers nothing compared with what the contents of a Library can offer, you buffoon. Don’t reply back to me, your mind is deficient. You belong among the mute beasts!

  • @PanMaghrebist As I said ask some fucking historians. I rather believe multiple Historians then one retarded fanatic like you. So fuck you ;D.

  • @PanMaghrebist

Where do you think the semites ORIGINATE from, where do you think mithras, pagan, pyramids is from??? FATHER ASIA.

Northern Africa are settlers from western ASIA, hence OUR customs & traditions. You sound like these black supremacist.

  • @HANNIBALbengal No comment. You seem mentally compromised.

  • @PanMaghrebist

I am mentally challenging to the brave. Hence your "no comment".

Ancient greeks looolol more like primitive savage greeks.

  • rome has the discipline but overused and well recognized tactics

  • A victory greater than zama IMO

  • What movie/documentary is this from?

  • Its a movie called "Hanniba the greatest enemy of Roma"

  • "Legions of Rome, to glory!" "BBBrrrr"

  • Is a Roman Republic in that times.......the Roman Empire is rise two hundred years after that, with Julius Cesar.

And after that II Punic War, Rome go beyond Italy to Spain and Africa. Scipion Africanus was the most important General in the antique Rome.

  • also das hat lennler auf seinem profil

  • They did send reinforcement, but Rome cut them off and defeated them at the battle of Metaurus. Meanwhile Rome was pushing carthage hard in spain and sicily. Hannibal didnt lose because lack of resource, he losed because the Romans isolated him strategically and fighting the war on other fronts. Although they couldnt defeat him in pitched battle, the roman grand strategy was superior - Hannibals strategy of dividing Italy failed, because the romans continued to commit forces to suppres revolt.

  • Hannibal's grand strategy didn't involve defeat at Cissa, the Ebro nor Dertosa. If it wasn't for Hasdrubal silly defeat at Dertose Hannibal would have received Reinforcements, but didn't. Carthage made a grand blunder by sending reinforcements to Spain. Mago new the blunder as did many. Hannibal's strategy was the right one. It worked wonders up until he was pretty much abandoned in enemy territory. Hannibal was doing his job perfectly well, it was his brother that wasn't doing his well.

  • @FlamingLion116 And some cities were still loyal to Rome not necessary need to represed them for them Hanibal was temporary but Rome is eternal so they were loyal to Rome. The Romans did manage to defeat in battle at Zama

  • @FlamingLion116 well you are almost right on everything.

Except that you don't know how it would've turned out if he did get reinforcements .

And the reinforcement you speak of was his brother Hasdrubal who had to fled from Spain to assist his brother but that was 9 years after cannae.

The senate should've sent reinforcements directly after the battle of cannae if they had done so the Second Punic war was surely going to end in Qart Hadasht's favor

  • any one he know the name of this movie ?

  • hey, those guys weren't really being stabbed...it's all an act I tell you!

  • In the end Carthage wouldn't send reinforcements to take Rome. So when Carthage's need was dire, he let the Romans burn it to the ground. If the Carthaginian leaders had mobilized reinforcements for Hannibal he could've taken Rome.

  • Hannibal was dead for 14 years before the romans took carthage i believe

  • Hannibal WASN'T SITTING ON WHITE HORSE and waching his army fighting.

He was right in forward line with gauls and spaniards, risking with his own life, to control the situation and insure that they dont flee, but retreat in organised way.

  • @Leikonel Is Iberians not Spaniards

  • @Leikonel there is first time for everting

  • @Leikonel His brother was in charge of the front lines...

Generals don't run straight into battle like little maniacs.

They observe the battle and watch the enemies tactics.

    Then they run into battle.

If every great general did that. (Alexander, Hannibal, Caesar, Napoleon, Cyrus), most of them would be dead...

  • @AqworldsWiki corect me if im wrong but wasnt Alexander leading his companion cavalry personaly?

  • @drektar1 That is correct.

  • @AqworldsWiki and they are dead xD

  • @Leikonel A general who charges into battle without "SITTING ON WHILE HORSE and waching his army fight", who observes the army, any exposure to the flanks and ways he could outmanover the enemy, can just as well, kill himself prior to the battle.

You are talking almost certain suicide.

  • @AqworldsWiki

What Leikonel said is true!!! He wasnt dead in the battle field because he was a great leader and a great warrior in the same time!

  • @ankabout1 You honestly believe that he charged straight into battle without taking note of the enemies positions? Just because he was a great leader doesn't make him immortal. If you actually read Military History and watched several other documentories, you'd find you're theory is BS made up by immature kids with nothing to do,

  • @Leikonel where u there?

  • @Leikonel who cares

  • @Leikonel true, he followed the hellenic way of commanding.

  • Numidian cavalry were the elite of the world in that time

  • hannibal great but julius caesar legend

  • hannibal berber hero and legend. I'm Proud to be a berber

  • hannibal was not a berber, he was phoenician and they came to live in tunisia from libanon, phoenicians are arabs from descent, im tunisian though.

  • Berber? The Carthaginians were a Semitic race descended from Tyrians. The Tyrians in turn were Phoenicians.

  • Hannibal was a Carthaginian not a Berber

Kabyle and Carthaginians are two things different. Carthaginians were of Semite descent while Berbers were called Numidians.

  • each time rome lost, they learned something new untill they turned the tide.

  • Well that fellow at 1:24 looks excited.

  • 1:21 you mean.

  • He is...err... making a toilet...

Many would do that in the moments before battle.

  • poor romans...

  • what a master/genius strategy!Hannibal was truly one of the greatest military minds of all time!

  • "Vincere scis, Hannibal; victoria uti nescis.

You, Hannibal, know how to gain a victory; you do not know how to use it."

    - Maharbal, Hannibal's cavalry commander, after the battle of cannae

yeah, he was a very skilled strategiest (hope i spelled it right ...), but, well, maharbal said it all

  • oh yes!

  • He said that because hannibal wouldnt invade rome itself. but in hanibals defence, he really didnt hav the supplies to do it...

  • @steveharrismetalgod i agree to that!!! the only reason he died is because Scipio copied his tactics and used them against him

  • @steveharrismetalgod no rofl mastur cheef r wai bettr lol

  • If you stop at 2:52-2:53 you can see a guy just jump on top of a shield and literally fly into the Roman line Lmao!

  • the maker of this small movie lacks some strategy of hannibal , at the town of cunnae, the was a river, when hannibal surrounded romans from 3 sides, there was no option to go backwards as toild in this movie, because the fourth side was a river on the right of the roman army!!

  • children human bones were found in jars in places called tophet, and they had no kings , but 2 suffetes elected for a year, similar^to the roman consuls!

  • The Parthians Maji Wise men from the east could only have been Israelites come to worship the newborn Savior of the world. They new the scriptures and the true astrology of signs in the heavens. Rome was soundly defeated by parthia on several occasians. This is why they could never advance beyond the Euphrates river. Parthians were not expanshionist Impearealists, but rather defended against Rome's incursions to it's territory. See You tube for these BBC videos on Parthian victories over Rome.

  • Seek out the writings of Steven M collins. His master work is PARTHIA The Forgotten Ancient Superpower And It's Role In Biblical History. The Parthians were a form of regathered Israel in the first 2 centuries B.C. till God disbanded them under the threat and might of a growing PERSHIAN empire circa 500 --600 A.D. The Parthians moved out of the middle east and up into europe to become the modern Europeans. Israel we are,Not the Jews. The Maji were Parthians Israelites.

  • tubermier, i encourage you , to read history more seriuosly!

  • News flash. The Carthaginians were an Israel ( hebrew colony which grew to a great quasi empire.Their hatred of Rome was only equalled by the Parthians also an Israel Hebrew empire with a much greater influence and power in later centuries. Why they did not prevail against Rome was simply because GOD forbade the destruction of Rome because he needed it to work out his master plan for the ages. Rome was to be a crucial cog in the great wheel of prophesy and judgements against the house of Israel

  • to your knowledge, the carthaginians were phenicians, the city was founded in 814 or 813 BCthey spoke a semitic language which is a dialect of phonecian, it is proven by the treaty of alliance between Hannibal and philip V of macedonia, and the periples of hannon. they worshipped Baal Hamon, god of fertility and tanit a female goddess, both of them protector of the city. and had melqart, gof of the sea of navigators!ü they practiced human sacrifices, children bones were found in a jars near

  • The Carthaginians worshipped Baal.

  • I wonder how the history of Europe would have been if the Carthaginians would had capitalized on their victories and reduced Rome's influence over the mediterreanean......

  • so do i.

  • The heroic Hannibal of the great empire of Carthage... coool ...

very awesome from the punic war

  • tnx alot!love bbc!i watched this cuz yesterday i was kicked out from latin hour from this movie...i bet my teacher will bang me hard with questions about this battle:)))):X...love and respect bbc and youtube:)>-

  • Carthagirians with 2 handed wepons and celtic clothes? Where is the sacred band and the carth heavy infantry with their shiny armours? come on you gave all that money for the film do something right.

  • Hannibal asked a lot of time for reinforcement but Carthagena didn't send him nothing so he recruit from local tribes in Spain&Italy(same that celts)

  • You play too much Rome Total War =)

  • that last roman being killed nicely depicts what shock cavalry were capable of. very very nasty.

  • ouch "new skull please"

  • cool docu-drama this, really well done!

  • a really important point was that the roman trumps produce fear in the elephants of the hannibal troops , and broken the formation .

  • Don't you see?

Every film about Rome or Crusade was filmed by americans is 80% true and 20% fals.

I did not say that this film is bad, but they have some fals informations. Even about armor.

In this film rome is well armor but look at Carthaginian army. They have no armor. This is fals.Maybe you will say that i defend carthage because i from north africa...NO.I from europe.I just want to the people know the truth.

  • in this case you are defending rome because if carthage doesnt have armour then they are trying to say that carthage defeated rome even with shitty equipment anyway i agree that movies are not historically accurate but this is not a classical movie is a documentary and is not filmed by americans i think it was filmed by british.

  • wasnt this from a film? cause i remember watching it on the tv anyhow i love what hannibal did if carthage had helped a bit more we'd all be speak phoenician

  • Huh..

In this movie the Poeni army was showing like a barbarians...In that time they was more advance then Romans....

  • yeah but they werent given death threats that if they ran away theyd be killed

  • Never heard that.

    How do you know this?

  • yeah

  • nnibal did not wear an eyepatch Lol he isnt a pirate XD

  • yes he was, because he lose one eye due infection

  • he prob didnt wear an eyepatch he probably had it sewn up after the infected eye was taken out

  • What is the full title of this movie?

  • Would he be remembered more if he took Rome?

  • the americans did this in the first gulf war, except with tanks and infantry

  • The battle of cannae is one of the highest art a human can perform. An adversary that hannibal overcame before his motherland was vanquished forever from the earth. I wonder what sort of mind/mood (maybe death wish) he had when he fought against such unmatchable romans.

  • art?? i like this stuff, the strategy and all.. but art?? shit..

  • Hmmm...art any one who set himself to be remembered for more than 2000+ years have lived his life as how a painter creates his masterpiece to be remembered eternally. Much like artists who create sculpture etc...Also the subject he have mastered is called "ART OF WAR" for nothing.

  • well u call it the art of war cause u hav care for people dying and suffering in a war

  • Here in Asia it "Art of war" is practiced as a defensive/Martial (Shaolin Arts) subject for some 2000+ years before and still. Besides Death and Suffering are all over the place and just by calling the art of strategy / art of war it does not imply that i contribute to killing millions. Just research thoroughly for "Art of war" before posting comments here, read at least once "Art of war" by Sun tzu or Book of five rings by miyamoto mushashi once before accusing someone as a war freak.

  • Hmmm...art any one who set himself to be remembered for more than 2000+ years have lived his life as how a painter creates his masterpiece to be remembered eternally. Much like artists who create sculpture etc...Also the subject he have mastered is called "ART OF WAR" for nothing.

  • The Movie is called Hannibal

  • Nice battle. Anyone knows the name of this movie?

  • actually the roman lines were really deep, they smashed into hannibals lines and hannibal swung his men round and flanked the romans from three sides. And later on his cavalry returned and attacked from the back, then the roman army was completely surrounded, but what i want to know is gaius terentius varo was fighting so how did he get away did he just die?

  • Here's a visual of how it would have looked for those of you who like diagrams. The Roman front was just a straight lines wheres as Hanibals resembled and v. The tip of the "v" were weaker units that the Romans easily pushed back until before they knew it Hannibal's army surrounded them. It would have looked like so. Imagine the string of "I's" as a solid line.

    I |

    I /

    I <

    I \

    I |

  • Ah forget it, just look it up if your interested. The above spacing didn't turn out correctly. It was roughly suppose to look like this: I<

  • your diagram meant well.

As irreliable as wiki is, they have the diagram that the US military acadamey uses, so you know its fool proof

  • GRSIV, it's hard to describe. Usually I tell someone it's kind of like what happens when a large object is thrown into a net...they move against the net but then the sides wrap around it, totally enveloping it. Hannibal was a tactical genius.

  • Not very true Epic --Homo sapiens originated from Africa which ofcourse were Human but there were The Neanthaderls that lived in europe during the ice age and became human by interbreeding with the Homosapiens. The white race then surfaced.

  • sorry, Not true moeisha....check the internet or somewhere in a library:

Some "people" from Africa went up north and got stuck there during the ice age for 30,000 years. This cold isolated period resulted in what people refer to as Caucasians.

I mean if one hangs out in a cold place for 30,000 years, one is bound to turn white!lol.

  • true, from a lack of melanin, there is little sunlight, so you need no melanin protection, well little to none, however lol, now "white" people as you call them, can't stay in the sun too long for that same reason, no protection making them 10 times as likely to develop skin cancer..oh..and they were stuck in the Caucus mountains because the land-brige melted away.

  • Nice battle. Probably the most realistic depiction of the Battle of Cannae...not like there were many others on tv or movies though

  • epictus...¬¬ northafricans don't be ALL black ¬¬

  • For all those idiots fighting over skin color and tone....we are all black, we all originated from Africa. There is sufficient DNA proof for this. Even without the proof, it seems so obvious that all humans belong to the human race.

People who fight about race are mental fucking retards...please stab yourselves and jump into the nearest trash can. thank you.

  • No actually we are all white, a black man is just a white man with a tan :-)

  • O_o...right...of course....wow...lol.

  • why the hell are me fighting over the skin tone of Hannibal/Carthaginians? No one yet knows the colour of his skin, and no matter what colour of skin he had he was still a kick ass commander.

  • haha, looks like i missed a good fight on here, well whateverdid go down, i can tell you hannibal was not black, phoenicians were semetic tribe, skin tone would have been an olive.

  • this is baffling me, what does the commander say at 2:06?

  • I think:

    ''Forward the reserve!''

  • 'Forward the reserves!' \

  • Nice footage of hannibals victory in cannae, perhaps a little low on scale, wasnt it 100000 romans against half the size for hannibal? the actor should be used for a treu movie about hannibals invasion.

  • no , hannibal wasnt black, in that period there were not black/ lightbrown people in algeria.

Its when the Arabians in 700/800 pick over the Middle Sea world in Europe that the inhabitants of that country came lightbrown/black.

    Sorry for my bad english

  • algeria?? i think chartaghe is in tunisia idiot

  • Along with that comes ancient recolections of what a cannanite is. Many ancient historians often refer to a cannanites in the same fashion. Being olive skinned in form. You arent going to discredit a millenea of work are you? It dont make any sense to say that Maryland is the middle east, because historicaly not called that nor refered to in that manner by anyone around the world. Don't try and rationalize stupid shit you made up, such as that.

  • No Hannibal was not black and its not a racist paradigm, it's fact. Many historians say so and there are definitions to what a Cannnanite is is this. " a member of a Semitic people that inhabited parts of ancient Palestine and were conquered by the Israelites and largely absorbed by them."

  • PWNAGE! hell of a tactic tho i gotta say

  • Greatest man that ever lived and pretty much my idol when it comes to military logistics. He wasnt an African by the way. Africa got that name from the man who defeated my hero, Scipi AFRICANUS. lol Why do you think I use this name?

  • how was hannibal not an african. he lived in africa but he wasn't an african...how does that work...in that case i suppose all of the greatest military strategists in china were all portuguese...

  • He LIVED in Africa. If you lived in China, and you were from India, would you be called Chinese? And he wasnt a dark skinned man, since his lineage is from Cannan, and the Phonecians and Phillistines, and ruling class of Carthage. If you read on it you the upper class didnt mix with natives. So if I was born in South America, but my parent were both Irish, would that make me South American or Irish? Im not talking about Statehood, Im talking about Nationhood.

  • I know that in Jordan/Syria they acknowledge that the ancient Canaanites were dark-skinned peoples. I've seen images of 2,000 year old busts of Nobles in what is now Syria, and it depicted a so-called negroid person. Ofcourse its tucked away in the basement of some Syrian museum for none to see. Secondly, Phillistines and Phoenecians/Canaanites are like apples and oranges. You'd be better off comparing Olmecs to Phoenecians than Phillistines.

  • Second of all, the area which is now Palestine/Syria/Lebanon (Canaan in ancient) was always considered to be part of Northeast Africa including what is now Saudi Arabia/Yemen, up until the late 18th Century when the RULING CLASS OF EUROPE decided, with their new world-power and influence, to divorce the land from Africa, in league with their political paradigm which they were instituting at the time, a paradigm which you gladly seem to follow today.

  • i.e., this is the birth of the "middle east" MYTH...I live in Maryland...I guess that's the Middle East of the U.S. I'm also from the Middle East. Because I declare that the Mid-Atlantic is the Middle East, since its in the Middle, and the East. Middle-East...makes perfect sense...

  • Carthage was a Phoenecian (Canaanite) Satellite state, i.e., a satellite of another African state, i.e, HANNIBAL WAS AN AFRICAN. Also, there are busts of nobles in what is now Turkey circa 2,000 years ago and it also depicts so-called negroid features as well so-called africoid braids. The ancient Kemites (Egyptians) depicted light skin Libyans in ancient times, but many of the light skinned peopels you NOW see in North Africa descend from European slaves brought in by the Moors.

  • i.e., you act as if nobility in any period of time = whiteness. the first pope was black. racism didn't exist in that time period, only nationalism. racism was birthed to justify chattel slavery, a state of mind which birthed all sorts of other lies like divorcing territories considered to be african from time immemorial and creating the "middle east" lie...ur stuck in a european imperialist, racist paradigm...maybe not intentionially, but you are nonetheless...hannibal was black.

  • More black popes:

Pope St. Victor - Elected in 189 AD

Pope St. Militiades - Reigned as Pope from 311 - 314

Pope St. Gelasius - Reigned from 492 -496

Also noteworthy: St. Maurice, the Moor (a martyr), also notable was Alessandro de' Medici, Known as Il Moro (the Moor), who was the son of Giulio de' Medici who later became Pope Clement VII...

  • Hey Negro, news flash. Being from Africa does not mean black. Carthage was a Phoenician state. NOT NEGRO!! I love how you blacks like to rewrite history and then push it as if it's fact. If you were to actually take a real history class you may learn some things. BLACK POWER BLACK POWER. lulz. Sucks to belong to a race who's only historical contribution to this planet is fiction.

  • One last thing, just because you see Eurocentrism in the making of the Mideast, doesnt mean its not right, or correct. The victor wrote the history books, he made the maps, and split up the land how he saw fit. The Romans did the same with Europe as well, and 700 years later, we got countries out of the deal. Same in the middle east. Should Europe still be bitchin at Italy because of it? I dont thnk so. HANNIBAL WASNT AFRICAN. The term didnt even exist. He family wasnt from there.
