  • OMG, no kidding a heart attack! So glad it worked out alright! I was about to loosen Merlin's harness a bit but now I won't.

My subscriptions are not working. Google doesn't load them all or something. I never saw this in my list. What can I do? Type in all my favorite subscriptions into a list then just check them all? Stupid Google!!!

Beau didn't seem to care that it was snow on his paws. What a trucker!

  • @venniey I have found that cats can easily slip out of a harness if they start to struggle and fight now. In Beau case, he really wasn't used to the harness and was in a strange place so he was scared. I didn't factor that in. Fortunately, Beau usually comes to me when called or when he hears a treat bag.

  • :'( .. all your Vid realise people how adorable cat are .. :')

  • @ezkisama1 Thank you.

  • oh my goodness Beau...you little daredevil escape artist, glad you are safe and sound...I would have had a heart attack too, Nibbles once bolted outside when the front door was left open by accident...I aged about 10 years in 3 seconds LOL

  • @powerpuff250387 Nissa escaped the house about 3 weeks before this incident aided and abetted by Beau. I was ready to have a full out panic attack when that happened especially when she disappeared from sight. I looked for the gray hair after Beau pulled this stunt on me. It's way too much excitement in such a short period of time.

  • We are so glad Beau is safe and sound! Loved seeing him walk in the snow!

  • @jasperjayde Me too. He does look great in the snow. It was too bad he went into scared cat mode on me.

  • Oh my goodness, that was very scary!! I am so glad Beau made it back okay, and that all was well in the end:)

But to be honest, it looked so cute how he got "sucked" into that opening, lol(=*.*=)

  • @sylnanu I'm glad I got him back without too much trouble too. It's scared when he was loose and he ran away from me. Beau excels at looking cute but I'm encouraging to stay away from holes with cat sucking monsters. My poor heart can't stand the strain.

  • Luckily we already knew how this turned out, that being said, the suspense was insane and we were all at the edge of our seats. That was a lucky outcome. On a side note, we think it is so cool that Beau got to come on vacation, even if it was soooo cold!

  • @Furballfables I'm not sure Beau thought it was cool to go on vacation. The new house was very scary and he had to hide in the basement for the first few hours. On the positive side he had the pet human all to himself so a closer relationshp was developed. I'm also sure that Thomas enjoyed the time away from Beau the bully.

  • Hi, I always wonder, how cats do not freeze theirs fingers in the winter ? Even for a small walk.

I like the idea about the the collar and chain. Nice vid *****

    Catherine xx ♥

  • @cather333 I think if cats are active when they are outside and if it's not too cold they will be OK. If it's too cold they probably could be damaged. The harness and leash works well if the cat does not struggle. Glad you liked the video. :)

  • Very nice video and captions! I would have had a heart attack too.

  • @meximurphy Glad you liked it. I think all pet owners can relate to this video especially if they have any personal experience with "escapees".

  • That was a close call, Beau! First you contaminate a crime scene and then you escape from your harness and almost injure your pet human. I thinks we agree on calling this "Extreme Vacations":D Meow from your friend Cat Ivan who is pulling similar stunts, sometimes;-))

  • @FunnyAccent1 Exactly. All are agreed no more Extreme Vacations. I like my routine and my regular neighbourhood. Beau.

  • Beau is simply beautiful looking in the snow! He looks almost like a wild cat tracking deep paw prints. And then after a tail quiver he does the unspeakable!!! OMG~~now who can hardly breathe?? LOL!! A beautiful video!

  • @Suzan4B I agree that Beau looks fanstastic in the snow. Did you notice his orange fur is only exactly the same colour as the of fallen leaves that were on the ground. Did you stop breathing?

  • @silverpoint16 I DEFINITELY saw the match! It's really beautiful! This was such a natural blending. my favorite part is watching Beau from the back going deeper and deeper into the snow! Belly in and deeeep paw prints! He must have loved it!

  • @Suzan4B I think he may have been a bit too scared and cold to really love it. Did I mention it was really cold?

  • @silverpoint16 Yes you did mention it was really cold. He just looked so natural in it that he didn't appear to be uncomfortable.

  • @Suzan4B I found out on this trip that he's good at hiding when he's scared. The quivering tail was the only tell he had and it was in an upright position. Just what I need a cat who hides his feelings.

  • @silverpoint16 LOL! A lot of men are known to hide their feelings! I took the quiver as a little male cat thing they often do(sans spray!)

  • Great video and I enjoyed the story Silverpoint! That is so nice of you to brave the cold just to give Beau a walk! Too bad you encountered the evidence of a murder! Poor bird. :(

  • @jennifergwaine It was interesting finding that murder scene. Not blood and lots of feathers, Too many feathers I think for the deed to have been done by one of the local barn cats. Glad you liked the video.

  • aw lovely kitty on adventure find mouse under house, possibly

  • @YOZcreative Actually he wasn't given the time to go hunting or hide. I got him back in the house very quickly since it was very cold and he wasn't familiar with the environment.

  • Hah... Beau had the right idea. Get back inside or you will freeze in the snow. :p Cute vid!

  • @HaligonianType1 That's right. It was darn cold that day. Glad you liked the vid.

  • I can see Beau as a wild snow cat, leaping from tree to tree, scaring the deer and the tourists, just as long as he gets to his nice spot by the fire each night with a well trained cat butler to serve him dinner in bed!

  • @DrNworb Yes he looked really great in the snow but I'm afraid he has become accustomed to his creature comforts. Do wild snow cat settle nicely by the fire?

  • @silverpoint16 Only when the promise of dinner served in bed is delivered upon.

  • @DrNworb OK provided I'm not the dinner.

  • Beau's ongoing thoughts: When mom said she was taking me on vacation - this isn't what I had in mind. I was thinking hot babes and nerdy little tomcats I could knock around to impress the babes. This place is for polar bears. That meal was already eaten. What does she expect me to do with leftover feathers - fly? Look there's a building - maybe there's a cat in there that needs to bullied and knocked around a bit. I am going in momma - regardless of what you say; I'm going in; see ya later.

  • @celinne700 Beau is an adventure at heart and it was a nice big building with lots of interesting nooks and crannies and no doubt a mouse or two.

  • All,s well that ends well. Nice video. :)

  • @simplyroxyful Yes fortunately Beau had figured out where the front door was. Glad you liked the video.

  • Awesome vid, sorry 4 short comment. My dumass of a friend broke myarm.

  • @MattheCrazyScientist Glad you liked the video. Sorry to hear about your arm, that must make this difficult for you.

  • Nicely put together :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV Thanks.

  • I am glad the story finished good and Beau returns to home lIts ittle scared to take them out. Thanks for this video. Hugs from Mary and Michita

  • @michita2006 Yes there is always risk to take our friends outside. I thought Beau would be OK since he is used to being outside. I under estimated the impact of being in a strange place would have on him.

  • What a beautiful story, It fine Beau is safe and back home :)

    Have a nice day ^_^

  • @kareemchannel I'm glad you thought the story was beautiful. Personally, I was terrified.

  • Glad Beau didn't run away; especially in a strange place!

  • @TommyAndGracie Me too. I had some very bad moments that day.

  • You had me on the edge of my seat.

  • @DietHobby I'm glad that I was successful at portraying the suspense and fear of the situation.

  • Ohh, that was scary! I'm afraid to bring Kitteh outside for a walk.

  • @TheAmusingBunni Yes it was a bit. If you take Kitteh outside just make sure she has a safe place to run to . Change makes cats scared. I underestimated how scared Beau was.

  • Whew! I'm so happy everything turned out okay and that Beau is smart enough to return to the house!!

  • @ashleypurrs You and me both. That is not an event I want to live through again. Nissa had put me through something similar a few weeks earlier when she escaped from the house, aided and abetted by Beau.

  • Thank goodness beautiful Beau is home and safe. That's the first time I've ever heard you say his name. I know everyone named Beau is pronounced rhyming with 'low'. But for some reason I thought maybe his name was pronounced rhyming with 'few'..just to be different..

  • @CirSam No Beau is pronounced in the french way but it's actually short for Beauregard.

  • Oh my heart is racing right along with you . I've had that happen and there is no worse fear than losing a pet in a strange place . I'm so glad Beau is smart and went to the door . :o) All is well again .

  • @KCKILLERCAT You can say that again.

  • LOL...Cats are are funny creatures. How did you get the cat to be calm with harness and leash ? The cats here, would freak out !

  • @MrRunningwolfe He's used to wearing a collar and a video camera and doesn't let them bother him. As for training a cat to wear a harness. You put it on the cat in the house over several days for several hours. Eventually they stop fighting it.

  • I'm really glad that Beau didn't run away and came back home. That must have been really scary.

  • @ItsDianaSkye Me too. Yes, it was really scary.

  • What a shock for you. This reminds me on the day in winter when Tommy Lee ran out the car into a very thorny scrub. We couldn't go out with him on our usual place because of wood workers. So we called for him 2 hours, knowing he is somewhere there. My female friend wanted to drive home. I was very angry about her, wanted to drive her home and come back, also over night I would have searched for him. As we went to the car Tommy ran to us. He wanted to show me that he has decided to stay with me.

  • @artfantasies You were very fortunate that Tommy came back to you. A happy ending for both of us.

  • @silverpoint16

This story had a foreplay because as he turned around 6 years I decided because of several reflectings that I couldn't let him go free outside. So he just became a housecat and I drove with him outside to hike over meadows and in the woods several times in a week. It was great, we experienced all together. But on that special day he wanted to show me that he could leave me when he would want to. Then, from 2007 to 2010 I let him outdoor again because he <3 Susie.

  • Oh my! The harnness came off too? I would have gone into cardiac arrest..(snow angels look out!) It is such a pretty video..Beau leaving fresh snow prints and investigating; and then zap, the old cat magic trick. Am so relieved that he came back!! He probably solved the murder and returned to report the incident. But it's a good motto you adopted: vacationing cats should stay inside with their pet humans!!!

  • @ibsunnysha Yes the harness came off too. I really felt like panicing at that point but that wouldn't have helped anything would it? Yes care will be taken in future if cats come with me on vacation again.

  • @silverpoint16 I really have to admire your ability to put the "panic-reaction" in its place! I'm afraid I would fall apart (but probably after the wayward Beau had returned!) Am so glad it all turned out OK !

  • @ibsunnysha Oh I fell apart but aftewards. Falling about doesn't help get the cat back.

  • great

  • @TheTheCatshow89 Thanks.

  • Really nice. I hope you don't mind if I post it at Life With Cats.

  • @karenharrisonbinette Not at all. I'm always pleased when you post one of my videos.

  • Beau was investigating that "murder scene" - he dissapeared to catch the guilty party or perhaps have his own (ahem) meal? Whatever the case I am glad he came back. Thats skeery loosin a pet. Its like losing a child. You really need to bring out the bright lights and use the Good Cop - Bad Cop routine to find out what Beaudid when he was missing. He will probably have his buddies provide him with a air tight cover story :-)

  • @ImTheDaveman I don't think Beau should try to catch whatever ate that bird. It was probably mean and nasty. Yes it was very scary and I don't really want to go through that again.

  • OMG Beau you almost gave me a heart attack! Thank god there was a happy ending to this Once Upon Time Tail.

  • @beekalmer Amen to that.

  • Foreign place, unknown ways - I can feel how you did when Beau disappeared under the (fence?)... Glad he came back at once! I'm happy for you both. ♥

  • @AAR112008 Then my video was very successful if you felt it all. I'm glad he came back too.

  • Very nice video!

  • @ankex Thanks.

  • so many people go with their cats on the leash, I did this once with a cat, then she was sitting every day at the closed door inside and cried "I want to go for a walk" !!! we did it 3 times, but then she did not want to go back !! so - no more walks outside, I was afraid they could jump from the balcony to the ground, I had to put there a big net !

  • @gigi101060 Yes once you start taking a cat for a walk they always want more. It becomes a lot more like walking a dog. Cats can be very stubborn once they get the taste of outside and decide they like it.

  • nice

  • @metocco Thanks.

  • Glad that this little adventure went well. It reminds me of the first few times when my cats were little and we were starting to explore the garden together. There was always the fear that they get scared and run and do not find their way home. So I know exactly how you felt. And as always...lovely story telling :).

  • @FienchenBobby Thank you. I'm glad it's over too. Fortunately Beau is a very smart cat.

  • That was a lovely video... But so glad when it went pear shaped that all ended well as I know how nerve wrecking that would have been... Lots of cuddles for Beau safely back

  • @susan0606 It certainly got the adrenaline running. I was shaking with reaction after I got him inside. Glad you liked the video.

  • Really nice video!!

  • @Spiderbuster71 Thanks.

  • Hey, good story :) Thumbs Up

  • @Bebuvvter Thanks. Glad you liked it.

  • "Are you COLD? Your tail's a aquiver." ... HAHAHAHAAAAA! I about bust a gut! [bet his bladder was empty too =oD

  • @RockyBDemilleFan Watch carefully and you can see his tail shaking a lot. In hindsight I think it was fear, something I'm not used to seeing in Beau. Glad to say that there was no inappropriate emptying of the bladder.

  • @silverpoint16 ... in hindsight? [teehee] =oP

Ask the Furball Fable gang if I'm any good at spotting inappropriate elimination =oD

Seriously ... I loved this video very much =o)

  • Beau was cute and naughty in this video. I'm grateful he didn't run away too far from you.

  • @beachbumsocal You and me both. Scared cats are very hard to catch.
