They say laughter is the best form of medicine. I'd agree. When I have a depressive episode (nearly every alternate day), the best thing I can do is sit down and watch stand-up comedy or family guy etc. I'd recommend it to anyone else facing a similar fate :)

The problem is that the whole term and meaning of depression has become so diluted these days because of the over prescription of drugs and the depictions of 'depressed' people in the media and society. Being sad is just as natural as fear, compassion, lust etc etc. Chronic and debilitating depression is a horrendous thing and is the only time when drugs and other forms of therapy should be utilized, there are millions of people taking medication for absolutely no reason other than profit.
