there have been times ive floored my 78 f150 with a 302 and just watched the gas gauge start to drop. i can only imagine whats it like in this.

@FPSTed the 302 only is a gas guzzler in these because its not really a big enough engine for it to handle without it chugging your gas like some fatass chugging a soda. I was told that if you put a 351M or greater in one of these that it will greatly improve its gas mileage.

Whats done to the motor and trans in this truck? I have an 82 F100 that i wanna build up using a 460, C6 and 9" rear.

@KTMx1217x Its got a SCAT 513 stroker kit in the block with a crane roller cam and edelbrock aluminum crobra jet heads. Trans has been rebuilt with heavy clutches and pump, shift kit and 2500 stall convertor. Rear end is a 9" that has 3:55 gears with a spool and 31 spline axles.

i wish my 77 f100 custom had that much horsepower, when i got it there was a 1986 ford f150 long box on it so i cut it off and dropped a 1964 chev longbox step side with 1954 merc fenders and a 52 merc tailgate, its just a 351 modified for now but i want to save my pennies and put a john kassee boss 9 based off a 460 block with 700hp and a toploader 4 speed with a beefed up ford nine inch, its getting painted satin black with a white cap, its a little rusty but its a start

Cool, I own a 77 Ford as well, with only 90,301 Miles on it, 89,910 when I bought it, i've had it for a year now, and have paperwork to prove it's the original mileage, it also has the rare 351/400M, it's set up for a 400M

@1977SILVERSTREAK i love your truck...have you thought about black wheels?...im gonna paint my 77 a metallic dark stone grey and i have black wheels and ive thought about it a lot and i think it would look absolutely perfect...i also have a 460 in mine as well but its pretty much bone stock as far as i can tell...i want a cummins motor with a six-speed trans and that is my ultimate goal...idk im just throwin it out there...oh btw where did you get your roll-pan and what mufflers are you runnin?

@faded2blak Im sure the black rims and tires would look just fine on your 77 with the dark grey paint. We got our roll pan from LMC truck, its the fiberglass one made by LUND. We have a 3 inch dual exhaust system with the round magnaflow race mufflers on it. A little loud for around town, but thats ok by us lol!

@1977SILVERSTEAK haha i have a set of old rusty headers and some quietish glasspacks and i was looking for something louder lol...some guy in a mid 80s c/k 10 pulled up next to me with a straight pipe and revved his shitty small block and it was a lot louder than mine so i was a little angry lol ....where did you get your stroker kit and what cam do you have...and did it come with the 9" rear end?

@faded2blak The stroker kit is a SCAT kit from summit racing. The rear end is stock other than the locker we put in it.

@drpepper69er101 Actually it has a DJM drop kit on it. 3" drop on the front and its with their dream beams, so its still twin I beam on the front. It has a 4" drop on the rear from DJM as well. The rearend actually has a spool in it locking both wheels together.

@79mudfreak Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! The exhaust is a dual 3 inch exhaust with the round magnaflow mufflers on it. Those mufflers are a straight through design, and they aren't really a street legal muffler, but a race muffler design instead.

@rameljeferuiz Yes actually you can get a kit that will increase your cubic inch to 347! Eagle makes a nice stroker kit for those engines. You can even buy a new 302 short block with the 347 stroker kit in for a very affordable price too. Do a search on 347 and see what you think.

@bigbluesoccer12 We got all our parts from summit racing. Its the SCAT stroker kit with 4340 steel crank, h-beam rods and probe pistons. We got it balanced as well. Put a stud girdle in and stud kit on the mains as well. I think it was around $2300?
