wow that is impressive on iphone, I have the PsX version of xenogears; the game rocks and got xenosaga 1-3, but gears just simply better with original creators and crew.
Firstly, the iPhone does Doom perfectly, 30 FPS. If you want proof just look around.
Secondly, emulation is incredibly slow. The (modern) PC can handle way more than the PS2, but the best computers out there (mine included) only handle it at ~5 fps or something. Emulation is slow. That's it.
This is a pre-release version aka a beta - this game didn't run at all in version 0.0.1 - going by what zodttd is aying, this game itself should run at full speed. It's not a matter of power from the iphone, it's got plenty.
Most likely due to the age of this game it'll be running at full speed in the first release.

Yeah, gears is immensely better than saga. Such a shame they never realized the other parts of the Xenogears story.

Nice to see this on a iphone.
Question though. It shows you have 3:26 of footage, but it is only 18 seconds long. Did something get cut out or was this an error?

That's an error, sometimes thi codec does that, i'm gonna remake this video soon anyway, it's a LOT faster now.

Is this game supposed to run fluently? Do you think later versions of the emulator will run better or is this a problem of the hardware?
I'm a fan of this app but I'd like to see games run fluently :)
