my two cats are having flea problems ive tried bathing them with flea shampoo, flea collars and on spot treatments non have eliminated the problem so i am resorting to cap-star and program pills if that doesn't work i may just shave the cats, i do not understand why the commercial products did not work? the fleas haven't infested the house just the pets themselves and it bothers me to see them scratching so often

OR u can just take the flea off of the dog/cat and squish it as hard as u can in your fingers. Then, u can VERY carfully place the flea in a BURNING mug of or cold liquid (usually anything other than milk or water would work best) and then watch the flea to make sure that it won't swim away (but dont fear because fleas cant survive in water for more than about 20-25 seconds) and if the flea DOESN'T swim away, then just it should just drown or float on the water fast dieing... Dont fear!!

last summer I was INFESTED with fleas..it was so bad that my daughter had them in her hair...I didnt know that I had them until it was too late bc they werent biting me for some reason. I shaved my cats gave them a flea dip and bombed the SHIT outta my house (i mean like 3 bombs in EACH room) I left my house for 24 hours to make sure the windows were not opened and they were all dead. Then I came home vacuumed and disinfected everything.

WE had a bad flea problem with outbreaks in the winter when the wood stove is fired up.

I used a bit of cedarcide spray on the cats and freed them up first and inside a bit of spray and

so far ... no flea problem.

I have seen one flea in the house and a new kitten is coming around with fleas so i think

we will be at it again.

Also i am advised that boric acid left in the carpets for three days and then vacuumed out will desiccate or dry them up!!! with out the use of harmful pesticides.

Here in Florida in the US, the usual flea treatments, Advantage and Frontline, only kill fleas for a single day. My local vet told me vacuuming "does not help at all." I've never heard that one before! But she also said Advantage kills all fleas in 24 hours... yet my cats & dogs STILL have fleas a day or 2 later. I just flea-comb a LOT, and hope for the best!
