  • I love the sounds of the friction of the chords and the alert bell :D

  • Almost everything is nicer in the cities of china. It's like westernized cities but 20-30 years ahead.

  • @kzalldaz That won't be true in 10 years; Toronto is planning both LRT lines and a lot of subway extensions. And does Shanghai have commuter rail? NO! Look at us! WE CAN GET PEOPLE FROM HAMILTON TO TORONTO WHILE YOU CAN GET FROM ZHONGSHAN TO DOWNTOWN ONLY! We have wider ranges.

toronto is also getting those same cars on Line 4

  • thats a MITRAC, they sound like our T35A08s

  • Wow, America is LOST. We are gettting closer by the day to Korea.

    TRAPPED sitting in cars.

Germany and Japan are MOVING folks FAST.

  • J'adore ce metro. :)

  • @sanlesons Marrant nous prenions le metro a la station suivante Dahian Road durant nos vacances là bas.

  • wow this makes the subways system in Boston look like crap.

  • I just hate line 2 people intend to push you off the platform a lot

  • You can't jump on the tracks, that's how it should be.

  • That's strange, I never seen these cars in Shanghai. I only seen one of them with regular sliding doors (not this one) and the Alstom Metropolis.

  • So far there are 12 metro lines ( 4 of them are under construction) in Shanghai, this is only 4th line ~~

  • I know. But I haven't seen a train like this. I've been there. The only ones I've seen was the regular sliding door ones which make only 5 beeps while the doors close and the Alstom Metropolis ones which make "boop-boop-boop-boop-boop-boop-boop-boop-boop-boop" while the doors close, but this one has doors that push out and slide and have "bu-reep bu-reep bu-reep bu-reep bu-reep" when the doors close.

  • that looks so amazing

  • It's okay. It's kind of ruined with all the noisy people in it. Take it during rush hour at People's Square and you'll die of suffocation, haha.

  • LOADS of asian citites have got their own metro and almost all of them are awesome and much better then the european ones.

  • the countries with the biggest population pull in the most tax, what do you expect

  • Wrong Sweden and Denmark got the highest taxes in the world and when you have a bigger population, more need help.

  • really? whats the percentage?

  • 49.1 % for Denmark and 48.9 % in Sweden.

  • So if you buy something for 1$ it will come out to 1.50$

  • that's so clean

  • The sound"Beep,Beep Beep!" is cool!

  • Yes, 5doors per car.

  • were those 5 doors on the car?

  • I love the Shanghai metro!! It is SPOTLESS inside!!

  • alot nicer then new york subways

  • @tahtahfornow000 But then again, the new york subway is older than this

  • Nice those glasses!

  • That looks a lot like Hong Kong! Chinese subways are, in the most part, really nice, especially compared to the American counterparts, at least where I live lol (Atlanta?)

  • I love line 4. AC-05 Train and the wide enough platform.

  • lol aww i miss china ): and the subways were so cool :D so smooth and wasn't so bumpy :]

  • but they have the glass thing so ppl don't commit suicide. there are signs on the ground and everywhere saying "do not jump!" LOL

  • and along side with a Nike ads reading: just do it!

  • do u know when i was in shanghai in july there was this guy that got killed by the glass window thing from the outside. because the doors closed before he got it he got stuck in the middle and since the train was going faster and faster he got cut in half.

  • No he was dragged under the train, then he was rushed to hospital but died anyways.

  • 它没被搁了一半?

  • No, he was not cut in half.

  • CHRIST! I thought the whole thing was going to move. This is a dream.

  • they do this so people dont commit suicide (or fall in -- but mainly commit suicide)

  • that was the purple line, nobody uses that .. yet. Its new. It just goes around shanghai basicly. Only central it does is to the city square.

  • The glas windows are there now because there are so many people around lunch and going to and from work. And they fuss around to get first in, so sometimes people would fall down on the track. That is why they have that now. Also suicide.

  • WOW

  • Montreal may equip line 2 with these when the MR-73 will be all out of service.

  • OMG!!! HOW AWESOME!!! :O

Damn why can't we have smt like that?? XD

  • But in your St. Petersburg Video, there aren't any. care to explain?

  • Many of the cities have not all their stations equipped with PSDs but only a few. St Petersburg is special because it has no glass doors but steel doors. I have uploaded a video that shows them.

  • oh yea you have sry :)

  • cool! I know Shanghai (obvious lol) and Paris (Line 14,METEOR) What are the others?

  • Those platform screen doors can currently be found in 28 subway systems around the globe.

  • Yes, But There's A Difference Betweeen Monorail And Rail Platform Doors

  • Wow! I like the elevator-like doors system! It'll be installed in most subways soon maybe...

  • Interesting.
