Garciamani18, the US is so rich because of a free market and capitalism. Even though I'm no political scientist or economist, I understand that illegals don't pay income taxes, social security, or medicare and yet they can claim almost limitless benefits and welfare. I am happy that there are people willing to respect immigration laws and work for what they want in life. But illegals are nothing more than a drain on society, Their menial labor is nothing that can't be replaced by a machine.

amen to that! damn illegals. i don't mind the people who fill out the proper documentation and come here LEGALLY. As for the illegals, they should shoot anyone who tries to cross the border illegally. the military should go door by door and round up all the illegals and deport them. no trial. no jury. just put them on the next plane to mexico. if they are caught here again they should be executed. if one cannot speak english he should be deported, no questions asked. caught here again, executed.

we should be a lot more strict on our immigration policies (or lack thereof). we should halt illegal immigration and reduce legal immigration. I also think people applying should have to know english before they are granted entry to US territory, and should have to pass a rather difficult test to get in.
