  • GUYS!!! Im sorry but the kodak playsport zx5 is way better!! And a nice way to mount your camera onto multiple surfaces including helmets, kayak, windows etc.... Get a delkin fat gecko mini camera mount! Awesome, sturdy mount and fully adjustable!

  • Do you have to compress it much if you are shooting 5-6 minute videos at 720p at 60fps?

  • Audio is poor. Also, for outdoor use away from civilization, what about battery life and the need for extra memory cards?

  • hey, how do u strap it to the kayak coz i wanna try this too.

  • thats a pretty DAMN good picture full screen for 150... haha nice idea! Kayaking brings out a sort of docile and subtle experience of the outdoors. In fullscreen the water looks quite clear!

  • ok, i love this camera and i chose this over the zi8. i made a better choice of this camera because i wanna do outdoors videos. like boating, camping and rock climbing. and maybe some snorkling!! did i make the right choice??

  • I can't decide between a the Playsport and the Flip UltraHD. I like the waterproof and sharper outdoor, daytime image of the Playsport but I like the light sensitivity and sound quality of the Flip. Help please?

  • @awritersheart go with the playsport, the flip's audio is about the same as the playsport, and as for light, the flip is better in low light, but not by that much

  • Video looks good. Think I'm gonna have to buy one.

  • Nice idea! I just purchased my Kodak Playsport and am currently impatiently waiting for it :)

  • @SpiderPuddle I know what you mean! Its well worth the wait!

  • Youtube is only showing 480p for viewing this.

  • @sporty04 Yeah iMovie compressed it so i could upload it to YouTube. Plus i have a slow internet connection so it would have taken a long time to upload at full HD

  • how did you mount the camera so it didnt fall off or tip over?

  • @weightlifter81jp I used a FLIP Video Camera bike mount.... and went crazy with some duct tape.

  • You can also use Windows Live Movie Maker to edit the movies. Go to downloadDOTliveDOTcom and get it 4Free.

  • I'm convinced! I am buying this camcorder!

  • @rbdenham Excellent!!!!!!!!!!! Send the video's you shoot with it my way!! I hope you have as much fun with this camera as I do!

  • @zbwspider Hey Dude, I got it. Question. I shot a 1 minute video at 720p/60 frames a second and it was almost 100m. I believe youtube has that limit, so what did you do to upload yours for over 5 minutes? Did you compress it? If so, what codec or filetype did you use?

  • @rbdenham I use iMovie on my MAC. When I am finished editing, it allows me to choose if I want the file to be rendered small, medium, or large. It compresses it for me because this video is definitely not full 720p. The original file on my computer is a lot sharper. Let me know if this helps or not.

  • Thank you for the video, I can see than the 720p is better than the 1080p for action/sport!

Please can you tell how (and where) did you fix it?

Think I'm gonna buy one, not the same price as the GoPro...!!

  • @djsurff The camera is extremely simple to operate! You use the camera's built in menu to select a shooting speed. The included guide is very simple to follow if you get stuck! Happy filming!!!

  • What editing software did you use for this?

For some reason I like it.

  • @eastwarrior77 I used iMovie! Comes standard on any MacBook! Its got a lot of pretty cool features! Check it out my friend!

  • cool!

  • this is where we wished the screen swivaled. all that paddeling and umph
