Before the sensors got it!Listen to the difference in the two groups,BLOOD ROCK clearly states acts of child sacrifice, beastality, and recreational murder. Also it started south of the MASON DIXON,AKA bible belt.MORRISON couldnt even say get much higher on the tube. You know I remember the persistance of the underground. They were constantly looking for ways to get around sensor.Much like hackers today.
This is a rare timeless group!!! Anyone interested in a music video I made with the song DOA? Please send your request to my home page at my new channel "thebacmaster". It's graphic, but has a very powerful message.
This group is the shit!!! D.O.A. is my favorite. Too bad the band never lasted long. I remember buying the album Bloodrock 3 for $2.50 in 1971. I've made a music video using the song D.O.A. Unfortunately, it's not suitable for You Tube. I made it as a educational music video. The theme, "Don't Text While Driving". If you'd like to view it, request it to my new channel, "thebacmaster". Thank you for the upload on this classic band. Great job!!!
@Bacmaster Ya D.O.A. is excellent. The first time I heard it was in the early 80's from a friends brother's cassette tape that was a copy of radio's first termers underground radio station in Siagon during the Vietnam war. Excellent stuff!
@Bacmaster Would have loved to see that video! Bummer. Yea in 71 I heard DOA on the radio and Had to buy it. I had to pay $2.99 man. Is still worth every penny n gets a spin still often! Thx.
@Bacmaste I wonder what radio station you heard bloodrock on?The sensors must have taken the day off BLOODROCK was black listed from air on U.S.radio because of it's blatent satanic message.Hell man it was the only U.S.band at the time with such audasity. You know Black Sabbath had to change the lyrics to WarPigs before it could be aired.Black Sabbath and N.I.B.got by but you couldnt hear those two songs on the radio.Boy your right it does have a powerful message but I wouldnt suggest followingit
@CosmikDebrisFZ No actually I was in Iceland and the Falklands War of 1981 had started. There was a lot of activity from Arkhangelsk to Cuba at that time. I told the Brits that the Queen sucked as much as I could. They thought I was a asshole and they were probably right.
saw them open for grand funk in chicago at the amplitheatheatre on 47TH and halstead. KICK ASS show, saw them everytime they came to chi-town. thought i was inspired by Blackmore, but when i listen to these songs i realize where my licks come from!!!
Great tune! Did you erase comments? thought I left one a while back. I love riff rock. Bloodrock is such a great group! Better than so much of the utter crap being shoveled out today!
thumbs up if this reminds you of dave rabbit and his sound engineer pete saddler

@mamasboy815 It received uncut air time on WLIR-92.7 and WNEW-FM 102.7.
These were both top rock stations in NY back in the late 60's early 70's.
The Rolling Stones "Sympathy For The Devil" had the same issues.

My favorite Bloodrock tune. They were versatile and put on one hell of a show opening for Grand Funk in the early 70s.
