one doesnt HAVE to do drugs, build things, make friends, hurt people, smile, work, visit Salvation Mountain, be nice, fit in, be different, enjoy it, sleep, eat, be mean or anything else at Slab City. one can do as one pleases. I found it pleasant but I was on guard for I knew there was an element of simmering hostility somewhere in one of those trailers. but I interviewed several of the people, got a job and dipped in the hot spring with some nice, nekkid young girls that were cycling thru.
I want to check it out. All of you that have nothing nice to say about the place look around all the cities are a mess. At least these people are real and free and the rest of us are not!!!!!
I spend time at The Slabs every winter. I get away from my house in the Los Angeles area & shoot out to The Slabs to visit w/ freinds. It's a great stress reliever! Sit around a campfire & chat. Go for a walk in the desert! Play golf at the golf course. Take a dip in the canal if it's hot. Soak in the hot spring if it's cold. No pressure & nobody wanting anything from you but your good will & a smile.
Slab City is the most run down piece of shit hick town ever imagined. Everyone is on all kinds of drugs and anyone will stab anyone in the back to get a fix. I know because I lived there for three months. My uncle has lived there ten years and all the place is good for is to be a good for nothing drug addict that refuses to be part of normal society!
Fuck you and anyone who wants to support that town.Living there was the worst time of my life.My best friend got on meth from being out there with my family and friends.The range is chill but that place is a big shithole. Lynard and Insane Wayne is an awesome dude, but there is not much good to come out of the slab.There is no sense of community or respect.I love my family but they are pretty wacked out.I don't know who the fuck you are or what the fuck you know so stop talkin shit.
