BF3 Quick Tips: Why You No Flank?

I flank a lot ! Not because of this, just in general , and I'll get like a triple kill, then someone will catch me and going on from there.

I do this in just about any fps I play.

1. Because it's an extremely basic tactic irl and even in fps games. Why's it so basic? Because it's an obvious advantage to get behind your enemies, and it works incredibly well. Simple and effective.

2. It's like being an 8 yo in a candy store every time I come up behind a group of 8 guys setup in some choke point and they have NO FUCKING CLUE I'm about to royally push their shit in.

This helped me a lot as I get killed more than I kill other people, I have over 5,000 deaths and just under 2,000 personal kills. How many Deaths and How many kills do you have?

@Sevalius Not a whole lot, but a fair amount. I'd say I end up with 0 health and barely win a gunfight about once in maybe 80 kills I think. I feel I'm on the receiving end of it a bit more often, though.

I will have to agree with that I lone wolf 90% of the time in BF3 and I got to say no one ever flanks I do cause I love coming up behind people and getting a lot of kills doing that. I wish people would actually think its hard to even find a good team in bf3 most the time at least on ps3 you either get on a team that rapes the other team or you get on the team thats getting smacked. Hardly ever do I find a game thats evenly matched. My bad about the rant lol.

on tdm i often go to great lengths to secure the low flank on teran highway only for my team to never use it and just keep rushing headlong into their firing line and lose half the matches

another thing to think about when flanking is fire discipline, wether you are in a vehicle or not, letting some people pass by you without killing them can allow you get to the objective quicker, and also lets you set up a good defense

I dunno about PC, but on the console the players are retarded...I got it on Xbox instead of PC cuz of my friends...in BC2 on PC I was never teamkilled repeatedly for a vehicle. What the fuck, yo?

Noob tip: If you're hell bent of getting up that stair well, go armed with grenades and an rpg. Preferably with explosive specialist so you get extra. Just blast the stairs to high hell! Not the smart way to play it... but if you have to :P

Recently my team lost although we never had the minority of the flags, a lot of the time we had even 5 of 7! But the whole team kept running like lemmings straight for the remaining 2 flags, running into open sniper and lmg fire wasting tickets. Flanking wouldn't have helped probably in that case (karkand, last 2 flags over river), but just slowing down, holding the line we would've won! I learned my lesson. (pc, infantry only)

Its the typical case of, you raped and they returned thinking they were gonna get revenge on ya. I see it a lot too when I play and hold a choke point and guys think they are gonna get me back. Insanity is described as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I agree with the premise of the video. Positioning is so key in this game and that includes the routes you take. However from my exp. on the 360 C on Seine Crossing is highly overrated and to often teams focus on it to much. You can often easily take all 3 other flags while enemy team focuses on C. As a matter of fact I generally don't focus on C at all and focus more on A & B or D & B depending on the spawn and then work to either A or D.

Don't tell them about flanking! That makes it easier to get tons of kills. But seriously, so many players don't recognize the flow of a match. It's the same in COD. The obvious paths are usually the most likely to have 5 guys sighted in on you.

Next time I am on I will see if you have room in the party so we can get two views of the same match.
