Awesome review. I have never played Rondo of Blood before because as you pointed out, it was never released in the US. But judging by what you've described, it's awesome. I have played Castlevania 4 and Dracula X for the SNES. They're both classics. Dracula X could have been a little better, but it's still a pretty fun game.

Your opinion on the Soundtrack for Super Castlevania 4 is Way Off. Every track perfectly suits that specific level.(Ex. Level 4/Clockwork Mansion) & The best version of Bloody Tears to Date! This Game blows away it's follow-up Drac X w/ Stage Design, Boss battles, & Music. I'm surprised SOTN fed off of Drac X as much as it did. SC4 is also very challenging, it's another perfect example of how it gets increasingly harder as you progress.(Ex. Stage 1-4 Not too bad,Yet Stage 8 & on are very tough

unlike DMC it just put me to sleep, because the level designs look the same, the combat is repetitive because you do the same exact moves, the enemy A.I is stupid, i was expecting the enemies to be very aggressive like in Ninja Gaiden. i respect your opinion thoughm but Curse is up there with one of the worst games i ever played

You are right though, Curse does feel repetitive. They tried to replicate the 2d feel of the 'current games' on the DS, which are a ripoff Super Metroid!!! Thats why Super Castlevania 4 on the SNES was the LAST true Castlevania. Some games need to stay 2d.

Personally, I love Castlevania IV's soundtrack. I found it to be one of the most impressive game soundtracks until SotN came out and I discovered that fact a few years later (Symphony of OMFG I Totally Spaced). I haven't gotten to play all of Castlevania's lineup. Bloodlines had a great soundtrack and Dracula X did as well. But SotN was the best, followed by Super Castlevania IV. Richter is probably the greatest Castlevania legend next to the legend himself, Simon Belmont. Emulation rocks!

I recentley bought Castlevania Vampire Kiss for the SNES which is the australian Uncut version of Dracula X, for $20, It's supposedly better than the U.S version but still not as good as Rondo of Blood and i can't really see anything different in the game.

us and uk version suck in comparison with the Japanese version, besides the us amd uk version was censored and Japanese version was uncensored. Your right, the TGF is an underrated system, and had it sold well, its peripherals might have made it to the US including its games.
