Starting from Albuquerque across I 40 [El Morro/El Mapais/Acoma] through to Flagstaff and Williams up to the Grand Canyon onwards to Monument Valley then east to Mesa Verde and the Four Corners region. Si. 27 million year old volcanic remnants.

yeah, Shiprock is what's left of the magma chamber, and the ridge was an underground lava dike. Extinct volcanic remnants make some of the most interesting structures in nature.

What a fabulous view of this breath taking landscape. What a fortunate man you are. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to the western side of the States then I want to ensure that I see Monument Valley. It reminds me of my own short tourist flight over the Grand Canyon (and desperately trying to hold on to my full English Breakfast). Wonderful film.

I did a flight from Moab to Monument Valley in January 5 hour flight,Awsome scenery anyone who loves Amercia this is the place you should visit FIRST it is a very SPIRITUAL place,very Beautiful.
