  • coool!!

  • And to Christ the Cross, And to me the chair, I will sit and earn the ransom from up here!

  • yesssssss love this song!!! eventhough i was born in '92

  • YEEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

  • BRING BACK THE 90's!!!

  • @kswsquared

    Musically speaking, oh yeah! :D

  • I bought this CD when it first came out. I'd forgotten how great this song is!

  • weird to see him with long hair

  • love it. reminds me of 1993(84?). I had a french girlfriend here in Chicago, who was 10 yrs older than me. I was living in Miami at the time but saw her quite often. One day I was attending a 1 week conf at the Rosemont Horizon when I heard this tune and it instantly made me think of her who would be waiting for me at home that night. Better days those were.

  • satanic music is allways good

  • nearly 18 years old this song.........FUCK i feel old!

  • grunge is the best....

  • By far the best Live song. Screw Lightning Crashes, this is loads better

  • 90's had awesome bands.

Some people are forgetting that Australia had some good 90's bands as well.

Like Spiderbait, The Gurge, Grinspoon, Silverchair, You Am I, The Whitlams and Powderfinger.

I would also include The Living End and Jebediah.

  • @boogs2007 None of those bands are relevant actually. Many of those bands were the influential results of Seattle grunge. The only band worth considering in that bunch is Silver Chair but they were a failed attempt at a Nirvana-idolizing group. Their lyrics were weak and vocals were exaggerated. Many of the themes in their songs sucked as well. I don't hate them, but point is they were nothing compared to the likes of Seattle.

  • i remember i bought this album 16 years ago... they were the perfect bastard son of Pearl Jam and R.E.M ... and by the way...the Polish man at the vox looks more like the singer of World Party than Eddie Vedder...

  • thank god i was a teen in the 90s, god help me if i was a teen now......

  • @tyrionimpstark777 TOTALLY AGREE!! me too = ))

  • @tyrionimpstark777 you lucky basterd

allthough i have a few good ones i will be able to look back on so its not all bad

  • The lyrics, "and to Christ the Cross, and to me the chair, I will sit and earn the ransom from up here" refers to the fact that Christ's ultimate reason for being on earth was to die on that Cross. We can't do anything to earn the ransom that Christ paid, So why not just sit back in a chair and accept this free gift.

  • I'm happy he cut that hair

  • FUCKING GET RID OF THE ADS ALREADY!

  • @oPrincesoMaycon I don't think he's mocking him. If you pay attention to the lyrics, he's speaking about the rapture coming soon and how we won't have to suffer anymore evil that the world represents suchs as rape and the scars meaning both physical and mental. Because he says "and to me a chair" he is talking about being saved and earning the ransom which means as a believer we will be brought up to heaven and earn a spot in heaven thanks to the grace of God.

  • The original Creed, if you know what I mean.

  • THIS is music!

  • yo fuck chad taylor!

  • These drums fucking rule!

  • Wow, Ed has hair.....

  • i spent 3days trying to find this song. Its amazing and i hear it all the time but never can find the name.

    I love this song

    90s are amazing

  • Hoy 5 de julio se presenta en Lima ED KOWALJSYC cantante de LIVE excelente grupo de los 90's , I love LIVE today july 5 he shows a concert in Lima yeahhhhhhhhhh Im going to go

  • This is when live was more grunge and less religious.

  • if i wanted to watch ads i'd watch tv..... get this promo for cleaning products and other shit outta here

  • DEFINITIVAMENTE LOS 90 FUE LA MEJOR ÈPOCA EN CUANTO A MUSICA Y MÀS...

  • fucking shit i like song forever aahhh,,,,,......!!!!! so great and very i miss it...

  • HAVE FAITH PEOPLE!!

THIS KIND OF MUSIC WILL BE BACK SOONER OF WHAT WE EXPECT.

MUSIC INDUSTRY CANT KEEP HOLDING ON BRITNEY´S FAT ASS, PRE ADOLECENT SUDDEN STARS AND MADDONA´S PARODIES...

    90'S FOREVER!!!

  • @pedrinme the mainstream industry switches popular music every decade. now we live in the 80's again. soon the 90's will return. just a matter of time. a few months, i hope!

  • @maxricardi particularly I think what happen nowdays with the "mainstream" has no precedents. this sh!t that radio stations and music networks are playing is just unbelieveable. everybody has the right to like what they like. i´m afraid that people forget not the names, but the good sound as a result of today´s tragedy for brainless.

TODAY'S MINSTREAM IS A PARODY OF A PARODY. It doesn't have to be necessarily LIVE or RHCP or STP, but the well and talented-hearted produced music must be back.

  • @maxricardi

um, i dunno wth you're talking about.... current music & this past decade is NOTHING compared to 80s & 90s music. Granted there's a lot of new bands i like (mostly British/European), most of it is a joke compared to what Gen Xers grew up to... thank GOD i was a teenager in 1994.

  • @pessimystica i agree. music is getting worse and worse

but the 00's are identical to the 80's. bands trying to draw attention with their looks, not their music

and now it's all going to be like the 90's again (20 years after - always 20 years): because many people are full of stupid music

the 80's had a revival from the 60's (check out bad manners' "my girl lollipop"). grunge is a revival of the 70's, and so on

  • The song that made them, and deservedly so. Classic. The chorus used to send my imagination galloping airborne.

  • Great song... I miss 1994 :(

  • oh my god he has hair!!!

  • We should all make 50 youtube accounts and like this just to beat The GAGA!!!!

  • The first half of the 90´s was great, when alternative music became more mainstream, I was like 11 when this came out and I heard it until I was like 15 but it doesnt get old!

  • I remember this song from when I was still at school and just getting into 'proper' music...loved it, I was a bit of a protest kid...the lyrics caught me and so did Live! Only just remembered them as they popped up on my main page doing one of their songs live with Adam Duritz from Counting Crows...wonderful, I have some GOOD music back again!! Thanks for all the posts Live fans...!!

  • <3 90's music

  • love this song! i was only born in the 90s as well. better than some of the shit these days

  • Something like Jeremy video

  • This song always reminded me of the TV preachers ~ raping & robbing from the elderly...

  • IVE WILLED, IVE WALKED, IVE READ IVE TALKED. I KNOW I KNOW!

    IVE BEEN THERE BEFORE YEAHEYEAH!!!

  • @bajunjorj You think about old people being raped? What's wrong with you?

  • Music before 2000: beatles, live, and more is great. music after 2000 lady gaga, justin bierber is shit!!!

  • OMG I LUV LUV LUV THIS SONG!!! BRINGS BACK SO MUCH MEMORIES...

  • This song still gives me shivers...

  • At That top liked comment....he/she Lady gaga....will not get 80,000 hits in a matter of five months 15 years from now....she/he will be lucky to be viewed, as a musician. Contrary, Live went from nearly 620,000 to 706,611 in 5 months 15 years after the song was released. ...BTW I am going to see how many hits Ice Ice Baby has. I'm scared....seriously. Never been there, what if it's friggin more than "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or something

  • @JimiBigRig We're safe. I didn't view it but Vanilla had 8.109million-top viewed/official video. right around a fourth of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" K I'm drunk that was fun

  • in 5 years we'll be going lady who???????

    another Milli Vanilli MC Hammer....

  • haha what happened to his hair

  • @thereposterman he started off this album with long hair...once 'I Alone' was released that was it...buh-bye hair.

  • i just got done taking a huge shit and now im going to go smoke a cigarette.

  • @RanSidPunxFilmStudio ur stoopid

  • EPIC ALBUM!!!

GOOD TIMES WE NOW LIVE ON FUCKING HIP HOP WORLD

  • And too bad we have to deal with the silly pizza commercial.

  • I am not a big fan of rock music music made in the last 35 years even though I am only in my thirties. However, I love this song. I remember it came out while I was in college and it really stuck a chord with me. I like some of Live's other music, but this is not only their best song, but one of the best songs of 1990s. And so what if Lady CACA has more views. Sales and vid views do make one a talented artist.

  • One of those rare albums you can play right through...each song holds up.

  • One of those rare albums you can play right through...each song holds up.

  • One of those rare albums you can play right through...each song holds up.

  • This song and "I Alone" are my 2 favorite songs of all time. Long live Live!

  • This would have to one of my top favorite songs. I live by what the song means every day. I believe what I want to believe and no one can force me to believe otherwise.

  • 90s music in ALL genres was the best ever made. We need music like this in the world again.

  • Live was one of the best bands of the 90's.

  • This vid reminds me off Shine by Collective Soul. ; )

  • I agree. It´s a wonderful song.

  • don´t worry brother, the 620000 are people that likes music , not trash music as the one from gaga,,,,please... this is just waste of times

  • the drumer kind of looks like one of the guys from ferris buellers day off

  • Best band of the 90's and so underrated it's criminal.

  • it's like a mix of the videos of come as you are(nirvana), jeremy(pearl jam) and to the one i love (REM)

  • 19 people don't know what real music is...shame :(

  • love the bassline in this song!!

  • 1:11 - Eminem on drums.

  • Probably going to get trolled for asking this, but how do you say Live's name? Live as in "I'll live for 100 years", or "This TV show is live"?

  • @UAcards17

    The latter.

  • @UAcards17

Honestly, I never even thought about it! I'm pretty sure it's live as in I'm alive.

  • My college years ...oh my god my first year Industrial Engineering.....I love this song....

  • which year does this song were released? i remeber i was kinda kid but i wanna remeber the year exactly

  • @migueale1 1993

  • If only the line "I've been here before" wasn't in this song, it would be a perfect evisceration of the stupid christian dogma that plagues this nation. I don't love a god or fear a flame, and I don't believe in rediculous reincarnation either.

  • I miss Edward's long hair. Now he's shaved bald.

  • @Theshark15z he looks younger without hair....he looks old in this, lol

  • From 1:55 - 2:10 they should have built that up more. They build up so much power and feeling and just drop it.

  • CON EL DISCO "THROWING COPPER" DEL 94' MARCARON CON ESTA CANCION UNA ADRENALINA ALTERNATIVA QUE CUANDO LA ESCUCHAS DECIS...... QUE FUERZA QUE TIENEN ESTOS TIOS JODER!!!! U SI , SON LOS LIVE UN GRUPO QUE LES FALTO MAS ASTUCIA PARA SEGUIR EN LA RUTA. IGUALMENTE ESTE DISCASO QUEDA PRESENTE PARA LOS QUE TIENEN TREINTA Y PICO.....

  • Why so serious?lol! I ADORED Live back in the day and every single one of their songs will be the soundtrack to my youth but my god.....what pretentious twats?lol!

  • @jwattie LOL! yea, I love these guys too, but nearly every song I think, really, guys? is it always so intense, desperate, serious, etc.? imagine being with these guys at a restaurant, and the waiter gets their food order wrong...

  • @enntheta @enntheta LOL here I was, thinking I was the only one who thought like this! Although I LOVED the music, Ed & the rythym guitarist seemed 2 come off as pretentious wankers. I vividly remember thinking this after watching their MTV Unplugged gig, all those years ago. There is no dress rehearsal or practice session with these guys. Everything is a grudge match, like a 24/7 WWE or a living version of the Lord of the Rings. I can only imagine what their wives have to put up with...

  • @blondenemesis I saw them a couple of tmes and was right at the front at a very small gig, I happened to catch Ed's eye and gave him a smile and I swear he just glared at me...would a smile really have hurt? I'm all for musical integrity but it doesn't mean you have to behave like an arsehole! Still love the music though...which is the whole point I suppose.

  • @enntheta oh they'd still give some change though ;)

  • @enntheta Hahaha! yeah very true!

  • yeahh this is the greatest ever...stay's !!!

  • Into Right Or Wrong..................??

  • I wish I could go back in time to the 90s. Life was simply better back then. The music didn't suck and people's morals were better.

  • Great music times. MTV was sooo brillant till '96. Now we have a commercial music scene. MTV shows cartoons. Music is so arteficial. Life was so simple in the 90s, a peace mentality, now everyone wants sex, your money or to fight you out. We have more cellulars and chats, but at the end no one has time and everyone's feeling more lonely. I wish my children would grow in the 80s and 90s

  • I agree with you Sir/Ma'am (because I really don't know who you are...). teens even kids nowadays can't understand what is the real music... you know i am only 20 years old but my influences in music were in the past, most specially 90's... because the songs today are SHIT!!! but not all of them...it's just a majority for me.

  • @calogerods Well, you have some points, but as a child of the 70s and 80s I remember plenty that was bad back then, especially spending much of the 80s as a young adult thinking that I'd probably never live to see adulthood because of a nuclear war. And in terms of music, the commercial stations were horrible in the 80s. I think there's great indie stuff out now, like then, you just have to look a little harder. Kind of like life.

  • Maybe I'm missing something, but I've always wanted to know why it's titled "Selling the Drama".

  • i'd bought this dram....hell yeah!

  • This song has nearly 620000 views. Lady Gaga has more then 32000000. Something is wrong with the world today. The dollars have taken over. WAKE UP KIDS!

  • @djnormal

No worries, Lady Gaga will never touch anything we had in the early 90s

  • @djnormal Yup music it'sin a sad state of affairs when Lady Who is out viewing these guys .

  • @djnormal

This song is fifteen years old! Of course it doesn't have as many hits as the present day music does. Lady Gaga is an artist in her own right. It just so happens that she is popular at a time when the internet is booming and music fans go to places like youtube to see their favorite artists' videos.

  • @djnormal its ok for me live is the best nothing forgetten. . .

  • @djnormal that's what this song is about, selling the drama, that is what the media does.....

  • @djnormal It's because nobody knows what real music is anymore

  • I am raping the replay button all day..

  • @djnormal i bet gaga doesn't get nearly 80,000 hits in 5 months 15 years from now though...and I agree!

  • @djnormal has it ever occurred to you that 32000000 people just dont have the same music taste as you?

  • @djnormal trust me most people that view lady gs videos dont always have nice things to say... but it still does not mean any of these songs are not so awesome i could cry!! i love gaga but i love live too.... Paws up!!

  • @djnormal ITS TRUE,BUT IF YOUTUBE WERE EXIST AT THE 90'S THIS SONG WOULD HAVE MORE VIEWS THAN GAGA!!!! I SWEAR!!! AND THIS VIDEO ITS FROM 1994............16 YEARS,LETS SEE IF SOMEONE ON 16 YEARS REMEMBER POKERFACE OR ALL THAT BULLSHIT!!!! GREETINGS FROM MEXICO CITY.

AND SORRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH!!!! ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO GOOD BUT I TRY CAUSE I LOVE THE MUSIC

  • @tiaolimpia

I'm 17 years old, but this is so much better than current bullshit (dance music, disco music: you can't call it music at all!) The 80's and 90's, that's what does matter!

  • @Paoloboy66 i totally agree, music now sucks and has no spirit, the 80s and 90s is where its at!

  • @Paoloboy66 and the 70s, 60s, even the 50s. Anything is better than the cookie cutter music they produce today. Theres no substance to it. R.I.P. Music.

  • @nuggetz24 Yes, you're totally right. CCR etc. are also very good!

  • @Paoloboy66

I wouldn't consider Disco to be "current" music lol

  • @JustinBabzz

No, that's true. Although disco is the mainstream nowadays. Some people don't listen anything else.

  • @Paoloboy66 i hear ya man rap isnt music its words with a stupid beat that follows it. that era (60s-90s) had nothing but talented people who were in it for the music there was no auto tune or stupid shit. this is true music!

  • @Paoloboy66 It takes a little more energy but then u will find the same good groups nowadays. like Exit Calm with their debut album 2010.. Saybia from denmark, Sigur Ros from iceland.... Doves are also awesome.. maybe little old.. lets keep it exit calm check them out seriously

  • @djnormal It's mind control.

  • ^ . ^

wow. Live's songs are so exciting.

they give a really nice feeling too.

  • lol at 2:07, he looks like a nerdy version of eddie vedder in the jeremy video.

  • @t00117598 lol you're right, but it's a great band

  • @goldog21 not disagreeing.

  • Different breed of robots today.Falling for ZOG guilt in many ways.

  • old school....

  • Just saw ed live in rochester I love him they kicked ass!

  • Live rocks. Great song \m/

  • at the time this came out. i SWORE it was REM singin this

  • I definately agree that 90s music owns, todays music is just mentally draining and depressing

  • my first CD thet I bougt was Album Throwing Copper from "Live" and just becouse of this song (even if the whole Album was perfect) i like it.....

  • I miss music with substance...I really do. Listening to this just resonates how much I really miss it. Such nostalgic value attached to this song and many others from this band. First concert I ever experienced when I was 16. I remember falling in love for the first time with 'The Distance to Here' playing in the background.

    Hit me like lightning...Wow.

  • @AmanoHybrid Beautifully said. I feel the same way. Today's music just doesn't "get'cha" Emotionally.

  • Classic Rock!

  • I wore this CD out in the 90's , now i'm wearing it out on YOUTUBE in the 2010's

  • Comment removed

  • long live the live..this is live music..totally awesome..

  • MUSIC UNITE HUMANITY!! rock n' roll..

  • look at the country music today it's all the same music with different names.

  • Grew up to Live in the 90's and all other alterna/rock music. I miss those days.

  • Beatifull!!!! Where is thaaaaaat music????? WHEEEEEERE????

  • 90 MUSIC IS TIMELESS

    SUCH FEEL GOOD TIMES

  • I like this music!

  • It's just of one of these songs that when you hear them you fancy them! And this is an awesome song, indeed. A very underrated band also, sadly...

  • justin beiber, lady "fucking" gaga, avril lavigne, pussycat dolls, paris hilton, american idol, and all those bullshit crap today, just destroyed the good music back then

  • i miss this song.....

  • god I love the nineties.

  • @pills2103 no better music than the 90's produced! I play in a band and that's 90% of our music....Nirvana, STP, Sublime, RHCP, Collective Soul, AIC, Weezer, Live.......thank god 4 all these guys!

  • @JimiBigRig oh yeah sry...PEARL JAM TOO!

  • @JimiBigRig BAH. You need to go back further than that. The 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's were great decades for rock. The 90's had some great stuff but Rock almost died in the late 90's.
