  • How would this guitar sound in drop c?

  • Should I sell my Telecaster Deluxe Away to get this guitar?

  • @iannyrockwell i don't know. what do you think?

  • @zillathegorilla cause nowadays I play alot of creed and alter bridge....my ground zero is pop-punk....contradiction! haha

  • @iannyrockwell maybe you should get a Tremonti if you play creed and alter bridge? i don't know man. Get whatever feels good in your hand. Good luck!

  • @iannyrockwell Yes you should!

  • @Ts808heave these guitars are 615-675 new but also but prs singlecut aways for around 400-500 also or go all out and get the really nice 700-1000 dollar models

  • what was that first van halen riff around 20-35 secs greattt guitar and demo i want the black guitar prs se 245

  • @emanhacker Somebody get me a doctor.

  • Fantastic tone and the guitar looks really nice! Any processing at all in the video?

  • @dbenc No post-processing at all.

  • i got it at a local shop. it comes with the PRS soft gig bag.

  • wow super nice REAL gainy amp. I'm gonna pull the trigger too on that exact guitar, where and how much did you get it for and case? Thanks dude!

  • You play a riff from 4:07-4:48, I cannot remember the name of the song/artist. Can you please let me know?

  • @AMISAH Van Halen - Ain't Talkin Bout Love

  • @zillathegorilla Mr. Big..

  • Love the tone....What's the mesaboogie model ? and what where the settings on that amp for your demo ???? Question : If you had the opportunity, which one would you buy ? 1- A gibson studio model 2- the SE245 ?

  • @MrDanielf2413 It's a MB Mark V. Don't remember the exact settings - it was either Mark II C+ mode or Extreme. gain 2 o'clock, presence 1oclock, treble 12:30, mid 9:30, bass 11:00. 10 watt mode, pentode, bright switch on. as for guitars, I'd have to play a LP studio and see how it feels in my hands before i can make a call.

  • Is this better than a schecter hellraiser c1fr

  • @daniyalahmed97 never played that one.

  • Tried the Gibson lespaul studio??? Its different :p

  • No idea. I've never tried that Gibson before.

  • This or the Gibson lespaul studio faded?? I play rock mostly just a bit of shredding.

  • Hey guys you should check out my channel im a begginer still.. only played for 14 months and my first guitar was a ibanez rg120.. went to guitar center and picked it up off the rack.. picked up another one just like it and the 3rd ibanez felt great. Im ready for an upgrade as my skill and ear for tune has increased. I really want to go with PRS because my idol chris henderson from 3 doors has said they are great. i want a good guitar for the money and this sounds great. is it worth it?

  • @ryandorrah Chris rocks! 3DD are the best ever. The SE models are great, the SE245 shown on this video is amazing, you won't regret it.

  • What is the weight of this guitar? I imagine it is not as light as some of the older SE models which are typically less than 3kg.

  • @Apollwn I don't know the exact weight, but it's substantial. Much heavier than my ibanez rg. It's also much heavier than the SE Tremonti and SE Custom 24. I'd guess that the weight is around 3-4 kg. I'll probably weigh it tonight.

  • @zillathegorilla No worries. Thanks for replying anyway. I was thinking of buying this guitar for Christmas, but I cannot find it anywhere locally to try it, so I just wanted to know what to expect. I thought that with the thicker body, the weight would definitely be higher, probably around the usual 3.5kg.

  • @Apollwn Just weighed it. It clocks in at approx 7 lbs or 2.75 kilos.

  • @zillathegorilla That's great! Thanks for taking the time to do that.

  • How much does the smaller scale neck affect the sound/ playability?

  • @IIlIQuANTuMllIl It took me a little while to get used to the shorter scale length. I was over shooting my hand positions for a while. What I love is that I can put on thick strings and have lower tension on them. I personally found that the 9s that were stock were too loose. 10s or 11s are ideal for this guitar.

  • @zillathegorilla Okay, thanks for the help. How well does it stay in tune? Will I have to buy locking ones or no?

  • @IIlIQuANTuMllIl I haven't had any tuning problems, but I've heard some people getting locking tuners and raving about the improvement. New tuners aren't on my upgrade list (yet)

  • Hey man, i literally scream out of shock cause of the tone!

  • does anyone know how it would do with death/thrash metal?

  • @szadgan Stock the guitar is 'ok' for older thrash. If you want to do more modern stuff, I'd say it would be great with a pickup swap.

I'm not sure how this would be for the really heavy stuff. I think the shorter scale length would wreak havoc with super thick strings and drop tunings.

  • This video helped me pull the trigger, along with a test at guitar center. I was actually going for an LP at first, but I played an SE and couldn't get away from the neck, weight and fierce tone. I got mine online for a fraction of the cost of a LP and would be hard pressed to go to one now, especially an Epiphone. Maybe one of these days I'll step up to the US version. Awesome guitar..

  • @okie294life Glad I could help. This axe is awesome!

  • Sounds like this guitar has good character.

  • How much does the guitar weigh? is it fairly heavy? How chunky is the body?

  • @101thunderroad I don;'t know exactly how much it weighs, but it has substance. I think the body is around 1.5-1.75" thick, but I'm just guessing. The body is contoured nicely and is very comfortable. I didn't like the SE single cuts because there were no forearm or body (from what i remember) contours.

  • @zillathegorilla i lied.. the body is more like 2-2.25" thick

  • i heard some van halen there :D and i think some ozzy too ? lol

  • i heard some van halen there :D

  • I've been debating on getting one. I currently own a PRS Mira, and PRS SE Custom 24. I dunno though. The pickups don't seem that different from a lot of whats out there already. But either way, thanks for the demo. It was great, and I enjoyed listening to you jam. :)

  • Is this guitar pretty versatile?

  • @PieceOfMind56 Seems like it. I've only put a few hours of playing time on it.
