@drowninyourbeauty hello, thanks for watching, but yup your pretty set when you plug the microphone into your usb port. I also downloaded an audio recording program for the mic and had it record with the webcam recording, then I merged both the separate video/audio files onto my recording program. Also I don't think you can hear your own voice on the mic while recording, or even it being audible in general, you can only hear it played back after you have stopped recording. :)
@hahnus2895 Hi, the audio was actually fine when I recorded this, but I did experience a lot of lag with the video. To fix this I had to download an audio recording program using just the mic and have it simultaneously record with the webcam recording, then I merged both the separate video/audio files onto my recording program. I have both the audio and video synced successfully and running smoothly on my new videos, and sony vegas 10 is the program I used to merge and edit my videos with.
@Villeum Haha yup, just plug it in, load your recording program, I have goldwave for example, select the microphone to record, and viola, crystal clear sound! Hmm a usb 1.0 or 2.0 is just required according to the system requirements, so a usb 3.0 should work too! Well, mine came with the mic :D
@piperzimmerman Hello, hmm I don't think it can, but I'm not exactly sure, maybe if you had some sort of converter? I would certainly look into just the regular audio technica at2020 and not the usb version, those can definitely be plugged into a mixer. :)
I've just got the USB AT2020 last week. It's great and so easy to use. I thought It would operate with a software or driver, but I just plug it into my laptop's USB and that's all. I mixed my recordings with Cool Edit Pro and they sound good and pro!!!
Great video and sound. I am thinking about buying both the mic and webcam. I am sure I should know this, but did you plug in both USB in the computer and the computer just recognizes to not use the audio from the webcam? I love the simplicity of your setup. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
@ohhiguy Hello, thanks for watching! :) I did indeed plug both usbs from mic and webcam into the computer, but it's actually a bit more complicated. The logitech program lets you choose the mic in the program, but it causes poor audio and video lag. Therefore I used a separate audio recording program (goldwave) to record the audio from the mic and the logitech program to record the video. I merged the video file into sony vegas, muted the audio from the video and synced the audio from goldwave.
@canarycreek hey thanks a bunch canary, yeah I wasn't satisfied with just the webcam sound alone, it's good and also better than most webcam mics, but an external microphone sounds so much better!
also when you record it, can you hear your voice on the microphone while singing
or only until you stop recording and play on your computer?? pls answer :) thanks
