Just a blind man's guess, but Black Friday is because the parking lots are black with people.

and just think-Scrooge got as mean as he got without_ dealing with a modern Christmas shopping crowd.

This song is about how we could all become if we allowed ourselves to do so, and how too many folks have already become. The Internet keeps me from becoming a hostile Christmas shopper.

Why do they call it "Black Friday" anyway? Thought it sounded sinister, but fitting! Tried it just once, the first year, about 97 I think. I vowed, never again. This song is great, Jerry, lots of fun, fits many of us to a tee, and something Ray Stevens could get into. :o) That's what we do now too....all shopping on-line!
