This is where I'm going for my year abroad in September 2009, the architecture is exactly the same as my home uni (University of East Anglia). Fantastic!
This architecture is the international style promulgated by Le Corbusier: generous uses of concrete, strait lines and right angles, elevated floors, and free-form interiors. It can be disconcerting to new students, but if its familiar to you I hope you will feel right at home.
"Pineapple Express" is a blast of southern tropical air that strikes during the winter, usually bringing mild temperatures and lots of rain. If one comes after a large snowfall there is a real slushy mess.
Thanks, Furrball:) The snow came back today on the mountain and it's pretty deep now, but everywhere else it was either raining or snowing. I was traveling at the time, so I couldn't tell how much the weather changed because it actually changed or because I kept changing locations:)

For December this weather is fantastic. In Sask we can get -50. :p

True, but it sucks for someone like me who loves snow.

Is it a good school? :<

Academically, yes. Visually, it can look oppressive.

When I went to SFU yesterday with David, it was rather gloomy. There are way too many stairs at SFU!

Well, originally it was built to house a University for Aerobics.
