Wow...I miss the days of our defense being solid....hell even half-way decent. They make our D nowadays look like a powder puff squad...Damn you Rich Rod!
Leon Hall Bengals....Sean Crable Patriots.... Woodley Steelers.... Alan Branch Cardinals....David Harris Jets....(I Think) Prescott Burgess Thats A All Pro Defense Right There! Morgan Trent With The Bengals Too...

I miss this defense so much, especially after recent years. I'm sick of Rich Rodriguez teams that have no defense. I know he doesn't coach the defense, but that is the point. He is the Head Coach and he is responsible for how our entire team plays. If he is ignoring the defense and they suck and he refuses to make a change, then that is his fault. Any lack of talent is his fault too, there is no reason you can't get enough talent at Michigan and there is no reason for the transfers we have had.
If we could see a fraction of this effort on sat,we will b good..Man ol Man i hate that 3-3-5 defense..i hope they blew it up during the bye week!!! good memories though, shoulda won bcs title that year, our defense was dominant and we was stacked all over on offense. That OSU game was so underacheived,i thought it would be a 16-13 type of game with the d we had,but damn 42 pts??? i was screaming all game long at the d.Letting Troy Smith look like Drew Brees.....Still kicked Florida's ass though :)
2003 should've been a national title year too, big thanks to that idiot grad assistant special teams coordinator, single handedly lost us the games at Iowa and Oregon. Sigh.
I wish Lloyd Carr wasn't such a terrible offensive coach. Seriously. Our offense was stacked with talent and it never delivered. Lloyd Carr FINALLY let his offense show their potential on the last game of his carear... Why did he wait so long? We should have had at least 3 National Championships under Carr.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Yup 97-99-06. If Carr didnt put Henson in in the Illni and MSU games Michigan plays FSU in the BCS champ game in 99. Shit with one loss we would have played if I remember the percentages correctly. The 2006 Team was stacked on Offense and Defense but they pulled a choke job VS OSU when they couldn't tackle Troy Smith when they him dead to rights and ran into a buzz saw from Southern Cal in Southern Cal. I still think to this day Michigan would have beaten Florida.
And that's not even including 07. The App St. and Oregon loses may have been won if our offense could have produced the way it did against Florida that same year. You really think App St and Oregon are better than the returning champions? And don't even get me started on that OSU game. We scored 3 points. THREE POINTS! WIth Chad Henne, Mike Hart, Adrian Arrington, Manningham, and the #1 draft pick Jake Long, that is unacceptable. Every skill position had a pro.

7:46 - This is the ultimate compliment...
We need to get back to this type of defense... aggressive, hungry, and swarming.
