Anna Nalick is my all time favorite artist and has been for two years now, since I found her. Her lyrics just have an amazing amount of depth and her voice is so beautiful and her is in the middle so pretty much anyone can sing to her also. 2 AM is my favorite song, it always puts me in a good mood even though it's a little sad. I saw her in concert in Charelston SC almost three years ago, she was sick and couldnt perform her whole set. So she did three songs with just her guitar player. She was a trooper Citadel and 2 AM was two of three songs. Before each song she gave a little explanation of what each song was about. I rember her talking about 2AM. She did say that it was about a freind of hers she knew in the Army.
She was very down to earth and personable. Very talented, I hope she enjoys more success!

The second verse is about two different guys that she knew. I'm pretty sure the first one is her soldier friend from her song, "Soldier."
