We don't need their oil when we can hydro-fracture old wells here in the US. Recently, the EPA claimed they want more regulations before we hydro-fracture in SouthTexas...what? @JuanVoyce Do you drive a car and fill up your tank, take a train, fly commercial jets, cook with gas, heat your home, and put vasoline on your lips? Yeah...I heard but the EPA is out of control. Years ago they tried to fine me $10,000 for granite dust that was well under the limit and there is no polution to grinding stone. They just want money and to crate new laws to prevent a free market where the US can compete. They never got the money and they left me alone!

The crux of the matter is radioactive dust inhaled into the lung. Alpha radiation is far more harmful inside the lung than outside the body." The free market accounting does not recognize environmental damage or health hazards to workers absent EPA fines.

@JuanVoyce You didn't answer any of my questions and as far as granite "radiation dust" you would be talking about tons per day! After 30 plus years we have had NO health issues and when I took the TX EPA to court they lost and they coughed up money for the damages they caused me! We used masks, a misting system via high pressure pumps to collect dust and then turn it into mud to be recycled. Now, answer my questions....if not don't use fuel and live in the dark! Radiation LOL!

If you were really in the business you would know the real number is a granite dust particle concentration of .05mg/ cu m = 459g ,or 1 lb of dust for a 10,000 sf warehouse. That is the number given in the study of New Hampshire granite workers, which increased deaths from lung cancer alone by 27/1000 over a 40 year career.

You completely missed the FIRST STEP:

OPEC sets the price AND OPEC controls how much each country is allowed to export.

THAT is THE #1 factor in setting the initial price AND quantity of Oil.

The remainder of the price is primarily due to Oil company profits, and stock market speculation.

HOWEVER, it is NOT sold at 10 Cents a barrel in unlimited quantity.

But don't forget, oil is not the only comodity that is rising it's price, ALL COMODITIES ARE!

including precious metals, Opec can compensate the rise in prices by producing more oil than the demmand and hence decreasing price, tough that will not solve the root of the problem wich is of course THE DOLLAR AS THE RESERVE CURRENCY and the US and it's "Quantitative easing" wich is an eufemism for creating money like never before in history

I've NOT forgotten that Oil is what powers the world and OPEC controls it. Without it, there would be no other commodities, or even Pork Bellies, azs Oil is a component of fertilizer used on commercial farms. which grow food for pigs to eat.
