Rick Danko is of course miles above everyone on that stage...Otherwise here are a few other comments....Tje dude with the flattop guit and hat should have shut his piehole at the beginning...STFU dude...when the master is singing...
Ok this is a nice collection of musicians...The black dudes are ace except learn the fricking words and don't read them on stage please...
Ok second verse...Rick's got to tell the dude the words...Frick if you don't know them shut up...Then whitey round glasses..FO
Sure he's on his last legs, and looking physically unhealthy. But beyond that he just looks so goddam happy....he seems like the kind of guy who could be stepping up toward the gallows, and as long as he's leading the crew in the song, he would be ok. Perhaps experiencing the joy one feels when immersed in a moment of beautiful music is the reason we are here...or at least the reason he was here.
TO ed37die.. wasnt he the best guy! what a good guy funny easy going quick wit just a pleasure to be around he just made you feel better about everything including yourself he treated you like you were a star i was only friends with him a shot time i was heading upstate to see him when i got a call telling of his passing i miss him very much
Well, this has to be , by far, the top video on my playlists, by a country mile. Having known Rick for 40 years, playing in his original Starlites band in Simcoe, and visiting him for two days in 1999 at Hurley Mt.Woodstock NY, and area, and having him treat my wife and me to dinner at the Little Bear restaurant in Bearsville NY, I will surely cherish this entry for my remaining years May thanks for this great video. God bless, The Glenster.
This is apparently a song that anyone with real soul can perform.
So what if Danko is the best? He's sharing The Weight and the fun with others who want a cut of the fun!
Still, n
othing like a white boy with real soul!

I think this is just awesome, i don't care how bad he looks (he doesn't even look that bad actually) just as long as he sounds good, which he does

I'm a Dutch lucky son of a bitch that did an opening show for Danko when he was in The Netherlands. A big star

Hi there, the show was in March 1999 and Rick passed in December. We were one of his final performances, and we know how blessed we were.
