The story is about The blue ogre(Kaito/The narrator in the beginning) meeting the blind maiden(Miku) The two fall in love even though the villagers tell Miku that Kaito is a hideous monster, but she doesnt care for his outside appearance. Then the villagers threatened him to leave if he cared for Miku's happiness when she would regain her sight. So he left her, but Miku kept waiting for him, till she finally found out that it was Kaito retelling the story to her.

I think the story's about a demon, Kaito, who lives in a forest on the outskirts of a village. Miku is the 'daughter', probably the village leader's daughter or something. She's blind, got lost in the forest, and stumbled across Kaito's house, where he let her stay there for a night and he fell in love with her. She comes back, even though he told her not to. The village isn't happy, and makes the demon go away from Miku. But Miku keeps waiting, eventually regains her sight and meets him again.

Miku isn't actually "blind", she's more so "blinded with innocence."

She's never seen anything wrong with anyone because she was lived a sheltered life. She saw Kaito as a nice man, and spent time with him. They both began to grow feelings for eachother. When the villagers realized this, they chased Kaito away and told Miku what he really was. She wouldn't listen and so she ran after Kaito. When she found him she finally understood what the villagers
