  • $350?

You must be nuts, E8400s aren't even $150.

  • thats nice m8, i can run on medium to high with only 1 gig of ddr ram and pentium 4, but at some parts its very jumpy. But i suppose ur right then :P

  • ok m8, the x1950xt cant run crysis on high settings...the recommended cpu to run the x1950xt is pentium for 3.0ghz and the processor u have there is not bottlenecking it, i think its the ram. Its only DDR :P so i think that the DDR ram is bottlenecking and not the CPU xD just my view tho

  • It wouldn't be a problem now. From this proc I've switched already three procs. E6550 @ 3.2Ghz, E8400@ 4Ghz and now I have i7 920 @ 4Ghz. So this wouldn't be a problem.

Oh and 3GB of DDR3 ram. Am, no X1950XT is a pretty much hard thing to handle with weak procs. I know for example - my friend had a X2 4400+ and still wasn't really satisfied with the results. On benchmarks, scores were higher then with his comp.

My other friend had a X1950XT with C2Q Q6600 and it ran Crysis on high ;)

  • could you run it in a lower res but on higher settings and upload a vid? My pc doesnt have a pcie slot but ive been upgrading it... seems the only thing left to do is buy an agp card... i think thisll be it

  • Where can I buy this?

Can someone provide me with a link

  • Do you mean Crysis or this card? If you mean this card, than don't try to buy it - It's only DX9 + for the same price you can now get over 1x faster GPUs, with DX10 support of course.

As for Crysis, you can buy it in any gaming store ;)

  • AND THERE ARE LAGG I PLAY WHET MY Nvidia 8800GT all on high no laggg!!!!

  • Well, if youuuu coulddd checkkk my otherr videozz, u culdzz see, thatt I ownn now a 9800GTX and it runzzz smoother than urzz GPU ;)

  • This game is a testament to how fast the computer gaming world is evolving. Just a few years ago, the X1900 series and the 7900GTX were like 600 bucks and almost to powerful for any game at the time- now here we are where even the mid range run of the mill stuff is faster than the top of the line cards of *yesteryear*. And the top of the line gpus are literally 5 to 10 times faster than the stuff of just 2 years ago. Crazy.

  • Yeah so true, i remember seeing the x1950 series and being like damn.. i wish i had that...

I got an x1950xt rite now but im makin a new system this christmas with all close to top of the line parts.

  • nice vid, how did u enable the very high with dx9?

  • Why would u even want to- no DX 9 card can handle this game on Ultra High with playable framterate, unless they are playing at a low ass resolution like 800X600 or 1024X768. Lame.

  • Not to mention this video is far from Very High Spec, if anything its on medium to low, look at the grass and tree textures, you can even tell by the over all look of the game and colors, when i play on Very High on my comp everything carries a much deeper color and more realistic. Oblivion looks better than this video.

  • Well, no need now, I run a sistem with C2D E6550 with 2GB of Corsair and a 8800GT, so Crysis runs beautifuly :D Happy as hell :D

  • its system not sistem!!!!

  • i think u just have to reduce the resolution like 1024*768.... ps overclock the cpu....

  • i think u just have to reduce the resolution like 1024*768.... ps overclock the cpu....

  • That's correct, yes. Without C2D or a powerful AMD X2, this game lags like hell :D

  • no you need dual core for this game for a true experience

  • hmm, if it runs ok on a athlon 64 3000, i wonder if my athlon xp 3000+ would get by ok? probably not...

  • I Have that same proc, and the main difference is the 1 GB of ram. So i MIGHT go for this card, it's cheap, and better than an 8600 GTS in most cases!!
