fucking liberals if you dont like this awsome thing called democraies GET THE FUCK OUT ITS A FUCKING MAJOIRTY YOU RETARDS WERE IN THE BEST SPOT IN THE FUCKING WORLD FISCALLY STOP BITCHING, you uneducated, ugly, stupid creature.
Canada (the voter) is not to blame. The "leaders" who refuse to make the case for updating our 18th Century electoral system are to blame. We have need majority vote reform for 50 years and we need it NOW!
Why so many dislikes? She's one of the few knowledgeable people.
some more recent things since the time this video was uploaded...
- Limiting the time members can speak in parliament. (free speech please?)
- bill c-303, the same thing as SOPA/PIPA
- bill c-309, a bill which would allow a five year prison sentences for wearing a mask in any "unlawful assembly" AKA anything the police do not approve of.
- informing voters their polling stations have moved, when they didn't...rigged election?
@vincevince801 Okay I'm sorry but you are not very smart. "61% of Canadians voted against Harper?" Really? Get your facts straight. 61.4% was the voter turnout, so ~15million people voted. 40% of the votes went to Tories. The 60% voted for other parties. Under First pas the post voting system, the winner does not need to have the majority to win. You should protest at Ottawa to change FPP voting and see if anyone joins you, or cares.
w canadians really have gotten fucking stupid. seriously.... this girl is right, you're all right wing nut jobs who dont believe in evolution like harper
@trikevlogs You are possibly the most ignorant blogger ever. Yes real mature, calling him a pathetic tyrant with stupid hair. You are almost as bad, if not worse than Harper. Oh wait, my bad, you didn't lead Canada through a recession.
She did too! Because professional artists/actors that rely on government funding to feed themselves mean SO MUCH more to an economy than conservative miners/trades/farmers/oil field workers. What were you thinking??? lol
The 60% thing is pretty funny too... They didn't seem to mind when Jean Chretien won his majorities with only 40% of the popular vote... FPP was perfectly fair back then, but now, the Conservatives won, SO IT MUST BE CHANGED!!!
Please, please don't move back. Canada has too many crazies living here already. Clueless and stupid - a very dangerous combination. To prove it she publically flaunts her stupidity on Youtube. Get a grip - but please stay away from this wonderful country if possible.
Conservatives are dangerous and corrupt people working for shady rich people from foreign countries and corporations and pro apocalyptic cults, so laws are bought and sold by these filthy rich corrupt people that manipulate politics and justice and are a menace to civil freedom and reasonable government conservatives are evil they dont only kick puppies their way more evil than that. harper is even planning to kill 6000 wolves
if you worry that private corporations have too much authority and power, then i promise you really, really, really need to take a closer inspection of Ron Paul and fundamentalist libertarianism. The Austrian school of economics is not exactly the defender of the people
If you hate Stephen Harper, then fuck off back where you came from. Harper doesn't think the Earth is flat. You are an idiot.
If the Liberals ever get back into power, this country will immediately split in half because we in the West are sick and tired of FREELOADING EASTERN BASTARDS.
@Scottish036 yes, and Harper is ruining it. super jails when crime rates are at an all-time low? wtf? tearing down everything that canada has stood for for decades. this guy makes me sick, i fear for canada's sovereignty and i fear we are approaching a police state in this country
What's your excuse for when crime was rising in the 60's and 70's and the liberals were in charge? Did they build prisons then? No! They didn't! You know why? Because they rely on the criminal element to get into power.
@albertabeefcowboy84 i didnt say you were, i said if you are attempting to justify this PM's actions based on what liberals did 40 years ago, then that makes you SOUND like an asshat neo-con. Texas is closing jails and have condemned Harpers Omnibus Crime Bill as being unneccessary, they have moved towards a better style of justice and have seen crime rates drop. our crime rates are at an all-time low, he builds jails for his corp buddy contractors, weed carries a higher sentence than child rape
It's what the liberals DIDN'T do, but to blame Harpo on what the liberal's didn't do is stupid. However, yes, I agree that pot, weed, and other such drugs should not carry a jail sentence.
@albertabeefcowboy84 you misunderstand, i am not blaming harper for what the liberals didnt do, they didnt build more jails: good, they also didnt have the right form of justice: bad. i am pissed at harper for spending my tax dollars on a cash grab for his corp buddies to build super jails when WE DONT NEED THEM. he is a bought leader and a traitor. more laws always leads to more crime. i dont need the fed to take care of me, we are not children, we can take care of ourselves if given the chance
I am against the "Nanny state" proposed by the liberal government, but I am also against making new laws to govern us. We don't need more laws. Smaller government is a good thing. True, we don't need more or bigger jails. I agree with you.
@envirogrunt I hope you realize that you are only hurting your credibility with the "neo-con", "corp buddy", "higher sentence than child rape" crap. I also dislike the Omnibus crime bill, but spewing random anti-conservative vocabulary without any real meaning just takes away from your point.
My solution on crime: don't increase sentences, just spend more on policing. Maybe instead of catching one in twenty criminals and punishing them severely, we should try to catch more of them.
@MrRedtubelover everything i said was true. my credibility is justified by TRUTH. i am only anti-(this PM)conservative. my solution to crime is stop making so many laws that take away ppl's rights. if you are not hurting anyone, then there should be no laws against anything. stop treating ppl like they are children, stop the welfare state, it only adds to the perpetual state of insanity we live in. i dont need the fed getting involved in education, health care etc. libs and neocons, both crooks
@envirogrunt Definitely a good idea, but it will barely begin to fix the problem. While expanding people's rights and liberties is a good idea, it will not be a major deterrent to crime. After all, most of today's criminal's are lowlifes who fail to make good use of the liberties they already have.
@Scottish036 most of the Harper haters and ranters know nothing about politics. They are just running off of the American media they think their problems are ours... the 1 percent thing is pretty stupid considering Harper banned corporate and union funding to political campaigns the only party it hurt were the Liberals, NDP and Bloc had no issues with it. I wonder which party were the corrupt ones, their corporate funding was cut off.... "Lie, Liable, Liberal"
@QCBEC Lol why is he evil... hes finally upgrading military equipment that has been rusting for years causing deaths in the forces...
Just because a nation has a military does not make them a war mongering nation. Germany spends 46 billion on their military, she chooses to live in a nation with a military budget twice as large as ours and she complains about a 20 billion dollar budget.... LOL......
@QCBEC Personally I am more for Harper but after seeing him in the majority I would rather have a Minority Harper government, second by NDP... Liberals are a fucking mess... NDP is open to working with the government. Iggy played it like a child arguing with everything agreeing with nothing.
@annaalbothsucks Jesus believed in freely sharing what you have with others, not the government taking it from you. You share what you have by giving to charities, there are many Christian charities out there that one is very able to donate to. "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"
What a dumb bitch, lol She says she refuses to live in a country with a conservative government, led by an evangelical christian... then says she will extend her visa and stay in Berlin. The German Conservatives have been in power there since 2005 (since before Harper) and their party is named the Christian Democratic Union.
@jadger1871 hahahaha :D... your comment made me laugh soo hard... and to add 20 billion spent on the military compared to a 1.4 trillion dollar budget is peanuts, it needs a larger budget... Canada is a independent nation we should have a proper military for us and our allies we should not have to rely on the U.S.
I agree. Jesus was left. He believed in forgiveness, and leading by example. He didn't believe in punishment and making people suffer. Harper isn't out to help people, he's out to make himself, his family and his friends rich, which he will be from building more prisons.
I don't believe in Jesus though, I believe in science. :)
I have no problem with the fact that he's a Christian, it's what he does I don't like. (I'm a Christian, but I support the Green party, I am in my school's eco club, I'm a vegetarian, I am pro choice, I believe in gay rights and support gay marriage, I believe in rehabilitation/correctional sentencing, and I don't care if people want to smoke weed or not. I don't, but if they want to, then whatever, it's their business. Alcohol is worse after all, and that's legal. (I don't drink. Ever.)
Sadly you did not include property rights in your list. As a libertarian I tend to vote conservative and I agree with you on the weed issue. As far as I'm concerned the state should not be in the business of rewarding marriage. 15% flat income tax on everyone, no sales tax, and the government should run the military, courts and police only. There. That way you can live your hippie lifestyle and I can live one more traditional. Everyone's happy.
@pirramimma100 I care and so do the people who get a criminal record for the rest of their lives for possessing a substance that improves their well-being. Not to mention the thousands being locked up because of prohibition which our tax dollars pay for. Of course the multi-billion dollar drug enforcement empire cares very much as well. Anyone who really believes in freedom should care. However I’m not so naive to think everyone will.
@annaalbothsucks That is why you are lost. You do not know what left really stands for, nice to hear compassion, sharing, give to others etc. but they are not really that. The Left stand for Communism, totalitarianism, godless society, occupy wall street, Islamist... see their personality; dirty,hippie, tatooed, angry, mob, etc. while the Right is Conservatism, right to property, believers, and their personality are upright, properly dress, non tatooed,... like most of people, wake up girl.
@annaalbothsucks In Bible analogy, in Mathew 25:31-45, Jesus SIDED with the right, represented by sheep, because they are good people and condemn the left, represented by goat, because they are bad people. Today, Mr. Harper et.al. represents conservatives or the right while his opponents, the Liberals including you, are the left. Assuming you do not believe in God, What makes you side with the Left? Do you know what is like to live in a communist state? You're decent woman but sadly lost.
You are a typical Liberal Atheist guy. Conservatism is for western world and it does make sense. It does function with Judeo-Christian beliefs while Liberalism is for Russia and godless communist states like china and you should live there with your comrade.
Stephen Harper just got bullied a lot as a kid and now he wants every else to suffer for it. Poor guy! I feel sorry for him. But what do you expect....he's from Alberta. Alberta should be a part of Texas.
You do know that almost 3 times more people voted for him in Ontario than Alberta, right? Alberta is the best province in Canada. The highest quality of life, the best wages, the least amount of Socialist whiners dragging everyone else down.
After living in ON, BC and AB, I'll take Alberta any day.
Just arrived on my private jet in Holland!! I'll be fine. Good luck getting out of Canada when the shit hits the fan under Harper, on your tractor or trailer or what ever the hell you people live in Alberta. lol! :)
Actually Ontario has the highest minimum wadge in Canada. Ontario minimum wadge is 10.25. In Alberta is only 9.50. Wrong Again!! Also, you use the word socialism like an American who has no idea what it means. Norway is a socialist country, and studies have shown that they are actually happier than we are, and they are ranked as the number one country in the world to live in. That's evolution. They've grown past the need to punish and stand on the backs of the poor, unlike here.
Can't move back to Canada with a Conservative government - too bad, so sad. The Liberals were better? I guess everyone has the right to an opinion but sometimes information and facts will help develop an INFORMED opinion. Harper doesn't believe in abortion for religeous reasons? Ever heard of the concept of the seperation of church and state - something that is practiced by most thinking people in Canada - go Harper, you're OK.
Love it! Yes, stay in Berlin and keep posting funny videos about Harper ... the youth are drowning over here in a see of blue. Like, I'm supposed to be writing my thesis right now but I CAN'T because Stephen Harper is in parliment and it's distracting me. Grrrrr.
Oh and as she stated in the video , she said he cuts arts spending and thinks he has something against the arts. Part of fiscal responsibly is cutting government spending. Paul Martin , a very fiscal responsible man, did this in the 90's, so whats the difference now? Do people not realize the government doesn't just have money, the people get their money taken away to fund these stupids things.
@trikevlogs Canada had no military before Harper. Harper is increasing our military spending to make us not rely on our partner to the south so much. Why do the arts need to be funded by the government is what im wondering? Can't they fund themselves , same with the CBC , can't it fund itself?
@trikevlogs So you believe the our country should follow the mistakes of other nations. Look I think alot of things should be done in the Free market, Health care, schools, etc. I shouldn't half to explain why the federal government funding the "arts" is really stupid.
And don't think I hate, art, because that couldn't be feather from the truth
@happycan107 'mistakes' of other nations? uh, canada has had arts funding for ages... many other nations have too. YOU think it's a mistake? well, i would rather a govt fund the ARTS than spend billions on defence, missiles and other bullshit just to create more and more fear... that's bullshit.
@trikevlogs Defence is the ONE thing the federal government should be funding. You need to get your head away from big Marxist big government, read a book by Thomas Sowell, and learn how economics works
Defending from what?? Canada is one of the most neutral countries in the world. Any terrorist would rather pick on someone their own size. No amount of defense is going to protect us from the nuclear bomb.
@pirramimma100 first of all, they're was a few terrorist attacks a few years ago, 2nd where the fuck have you been, Russia is moving into our land, in the North claiming it's no know owns it, even though we've had it for years, now Harper is trying to get a decent Navy so they can scare them off, or are you saying we should just give our land to russia. 3rd by the sounds of it, it seems you think Canada shouldn't have a military, enter the real world please, Arts should be done in the market
Every Liberal we have had in power does not give a shit about the west , and as an Albertan I support Stephen Harper. I do not agree with him on issues such as gay marriage and abortion , and I believe in a non-interventionist foreign policy , but I believe he will represent the west a little better than past prime ministers. Just look at what the NEP did to Alberta, it seems like people in Ontario just don't care about the west, all they care about is themselves.
Then shouldn't we vote for a party that care about every part of Canada instead of him? He does represent your province only because there is tons of natural ressources such as petrol. He does not care about the people living there more than elsewhere.
He does not represent the est at all... Canada is to big... Maybe we should split up and keep economical links, but smaller and more representative governementaly speaking.
2.5 Million people in Ontario voted for Stephen Harper. Only 950,000 in Alberta voted for him. It would seem that a lot of people across the country feel that he represents them, and not just Albertans.
Maybe it would be beneficial to split the country up, or maybe go to a system like the United States, where we would still be one country, but each province could decide for themselves how they wanted to be governed, instead of someone in Ottawa dictating to them.
FYI: Stephen Harper only got 39% of the popular vote. Which means 61% of Canadians didn't vote for Harper. He only won a majority cause 40% of people didn't vote, cause their a bunch of stupid redneck Canadians who take their right to vote for granted, unlike all the immigrants coming from the middle east and asia who come from countries runned by fascist dictators where they can't vote and don't have rights, and then they come here and vote for another fascist dictator like Harper.
Statistics show that by the year 2025, white people will be a visible minority in Canada, and immigrants will be the majority. But to these people Stephan Harper might even seem Liberal with what they are use to. Canada has recently been ranked lower on the Human Development Index then the United States, which means the U.S. is becoming more developed than we are.
Jean Chretien only ever had 40% of the vote when he won his majority governments too. I don't remember anyone whining about how unfair the system was back then.
Funny how first-past-the-post is a perfectly good system when your guys win, but it's not fair when they don't... Get a life.
Harper is hardly Fascist... Look up the word in the dictionary, you apparently don't understand what the word means.
He's not a fascist, in the true sense of what other fascists have done in the world. But he's ignorant. To implement the Omnibus Crime Bill, and build more jails and incarcerate more people at a cost to tax payers which has been estimated at a billion dollars a year, during a recession when 2 million Canadians are out of work, and at a time when the crime rate is at a record low in 40 years is STUPID. He is a STUPID STUPID man!
The jails that will be built are needed. They will also create a lot of jobs for Canadians to build them and then staff them with guards. Both things are good for the economy, especially because it's something we need anyway. The CBC has an article on their website about the overcrowding in Canadian prisons.
The crime "rate" is at a 40 year low, but our population is at an all time high, meaning there are still more criminals now than before
I don't think you see the contradictory nature of your argument. If the crime rate is at an all time low, how are there more criminals. Wouldn't it be the opposite if the population was at an all time high. A lot of experts say that up to 80 percent of inmates in our prison system today have severe mental illnesses and need to be treated. There have been no studies that prove any correlation between punishment leads to the elimination of undesirable behavior.... (cont....)
It's just math. if the population were 10 million, and the crime rate is 100/100,000, that means there are 10,000 crimes committed each year. If the population is 100 million and the crime rate is 50/100,000, that means there are 50,000 crimes each year.
It's just a fraction of the population. So in effect, even though the crime "RATE" @ 100 million population was "HALF" what it was @ 10 million pop. there was still 5X more crime.
I really hate arguing with dumb people. So I'm not going to. You will see what happens when we are bankrupt. The states did this for many years, and look at them. Their borrowing money from China. Just wait and see when the crime rate goes out of the roof, and the entire country is bankrupt. Just wait!! You'll see!! It will happen! I'm moving back to Holland. People in those countries are evolving, unlike in Canada! You know nothing!!
Good. Move back to Holland then and enjoy your homeland while it's overrun by the Muslim horde, stabbing filmakers to death in the street for insulting the Koran... Evolving my ass! LOL Devolving more like it
The only reason he won, is because there no one to run against. Jack Layton is dead and Ignatieff was an idiot. I'd like to see Harper go up against a real leader for once, and see how badly he loses. I'm sorry, he does not represent the majority of Canadians with 39% of the popular vote.
There are muslims everywhere. 25% of the worlds population is Muslim, and they are the fastest growing minority. Think of all the honor killings going on in Canada. I've been to Holland many times, and they are by far one of the most compassionate and smart people I've ever met. North America is falling behind big time.
You talk about Stephen Harper like he's actually doing things to help people. He's not. Prisons are going to make him and his friends a lot of money at the tax payers expense. It's an idea that was pitched to him by Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney, who were probably the most evil men ever in American Politics. Stephen Harper is a George Bush lover. He should come out of the closet already!
Very stupid you are. You should open your eyes up a bit schmuck right now our debt is because of Liberal and Progressive policies that have circumcised our nation for the past two decades. Your just anti right because of Bush but Harper is one man. Take another look around the party and see some of its members are actually very center in many of Canada's social policies. I hate seeing comments like this because its the down fall of our nation. Your Liberal drone:(
Jesus was left. He believed in forgiveness, and leading by example. He didn't believe in punishment and making people suffer. Harper isn't out to help people, he's out to make himself, his family and his friends rich, which he will be from building more prisons.
I don't believe in Jesus though, I believe in science. :)
(continued) In fact, 60% of inmates released from prison commit more crimes again within 11 months of there release, whereas, when they recieve the correct treatment which does not include incarceration that 60% drops to 15%. There are plenty of studies in the States that have proved this.
(Continued)Also the amount of money that it cost to treat someone as opposed to locking someone up, is 1 dollar for treatment for every 9 dollars spent on locking them up, and in the end they don't have to return to prison a year later. I've read all the studies. Sounds like you need to do some research. It would be wiser to create treatment programs for these people, which would create just as many jobs, and be far less costly for the tax payer.
He's bum buddies with a whole bunch of corporations. He's creating these supermax prisons as a profitable "reach around" for his pals. He's a cynical, manipulative, delusional, Bible-thumping, controlling asshole. I might even go as far as to say he is a Machiavellian political monster, but stupid he is not. No this is all part of the plan, his grand vision for a Brave New Canada... I'm scared.
No, he's not quite far enough to the Right to be classified as a fascist (that cutesy kitten picture certainly isn't part of him building up a macho myth about himself) nor would I classify him as a totalitarian, but I don't like him and have never and will never vote for him. I find his disregard for Parliamentary process disturbing and his lack of transparency is fundamentally undemocratic. I don't care for his religious beliefs either. He scares the shit of me.
Stephen Harper has displayed some fascist behavior, since he's virtually fired dozens of conservative MPs who might of questioned or maybe even slightly disagreed with with his policies. He also has the RCMP screening potential immigrants to see what their political ideologies are....and that's right...if they aren't in line with his then their denied citizenship. He is truly Canada's first dictator, and is far from democratic.
@pirramimma100 It's actually worse than you conclude. Harper got 39% of the 60% who actually voted. So we have a dictator now with less than 25% of the possible voting public handing the reigns over to him. Oh Canada!
@desrosiersfelix As a libertarian, not a conservative , I totally agree. We need to give power to the provinces , not Ottawa. We don't need a Liberal or a Conservative in Canada , we need a Libertarian as Prime Minister.
Even better, instead of a prime minister, I would like a federal judge with the only function of making sure the democratic process is respected every time we take decision that require voting, the judge would change each X years with a rotation between provinces.
With no federal government, but instead a mutual interprovincial concent without any overruling power, I would really feed democratic representation running in Canada's vein once again :)
oh yeah and addendum to what Harper spends your money on: obscene pay-offs for his friends, private flights with his family and concerts where he covers himself in his own false glory like a pig rolling in shit. despite telling the arts (which music falls under) unnecessary. Vote for him fine. But you've got to be an idiot to respect the unscrupulous little fool.
Every PM does the public appearance thing. They all fly in government jets. Doesn't seem like a good idea to have the PM flying on West Jet, does it? LOL
What obscene payoffs to his friends?
If the arts are worthy, then someone will pay for them. Not everything should be paid for by the government. That's why we're broke. Police, Fire, Defense, mail and Health Care is pretty much all we should expect and pay the government for. The less power(and money) you give it, the better.
@EruditeCanadian Yes, instead give the money and the power to private institutions who have a track record for humanitarian and environmental destruction, who's want increases exponentially and who's only output is always, ultimately, waste. as for Harper's doings you know exactly the kind of things I mean, you choose to have cotton in your ears at the correct times. You seem like you're on a paycheque. reply all you like with all the bullshit you like. people know bullshit is bullshit.
Who does do government give money to? I hope you aren't referring to tax breaks for corporations, because that is a very naive way of looking at corporate tax breaks.
Tax breaks are ultimately good for the consumer, because ultimately the consumer pays a company's tax for them. If the government were to raise taxes on corporations, would that affect their bottom line? Not really, as they would just pass it on to the consumer in higher prices for their goods and services.
I'm not on the payroll, no. I am however on a corporation's payroll. A corporation that I want to thrive and stay open so that I remain on the payroll. Believe me, you want that too.
I work in manufacturing, which is a wealth generating industry. If all the primary and secondary industries move to somewhere with lower taxes, there won't be any more money for the wealth consuming industries or for hand outs for the socialists either.
Everybody votes for the guy that they think will give them more money. Albertans vote CPC because the CPC are pro oil/pro industry. Special interest groups voted for the left because they thought they would give them more funding and so on...
I'm not greedy. I just don't want to pay for all kinds of stupid shit that I don't agree with. You can pay for it if you want it, but I would rather spend my money how I want. I work a lot of hours for it; I don't think that's unreasonable.
@EruditeCanadian A sane response. I commend you, I'm quite a hot-head. alright, so you don't want to spend money on what the liberals, ndp, green or whoever else does. fine. your reasons are your reasons and we all sorta roll the dice on what we have faith in, cool. but I just don't understand how people could want unnecessary prisons, unpopular laws + shady military deals as opposed to social programs and facilities, from which they could benefit and see their own money in their own community
As far as the prisons go, we do need them. I just listened to a program on CBC radio about prison overcrowding in Canada. People on the left talk about crime going down. That is the crime "Rate" per capita. As there are more Canadians than every before, there are still more criminals than before, despite less "per capita". Bill C-68 was a very unpopular law tabled by the Liberals. I'm not sure about the shady military deals you're talking about, so I can't rebut.
fucking liberals if you dont like this awsome thing called democraies GET THE FUCK OUT ITS A FUCKING MAJOIRTY YOU RETARDS WERE IN THE BEST SPOT IN THE FUCKING WORLD FISCALLY STOP BITCHING, you uneducated, ugly, stupid creature.

We are not stupid,we can think,can't we?
I hope Ron Paul is the next president,then all these war mongers and money grabbers and the NWO will be finished.
And if you don't think that Canada isn't influenced by who is president of the U.S..you are sadly mistaken.
Wouldn't matter who we have in there,big banks and corp...are the ones that really rule countries..not these puppets.

@albertabeefcowboy84 i didnt say you were, i said if you are attempting to justify this PM's actions based on what liberals did 40 years ago, then that makes you SOUND like an asshat neo-con. Texas is closing jails and have condemned Harpers Omnibus Crime Bill as being unneccessary, they have moved towards a better style of justice and have seen crime rates drop. our crime rates are at an all-time low, he builds jails for his corp buddy contractors, weed carries a higher sentence than child rape
envirogrunt 1 month ago
@envirogrunt
It's what the liberals DIDN'T do, but to blame Harpo on what the liberal's didn't do is stupid. However, yes, I agree that pot, weed, and other such drugs should not carry a jail sentence.
albertabeefcowboy84 1 month ago
@albertabeefcowboy84 you misunderstand, i am not blaming harper for what the liberals didnt do, they didnt build more jails: good, they also didnt have the right form of justice: bad. i am pissed at harper for spending my tax dollars on a cash grab for his corp buddies to build super jails when WE DONT NEED THEM. he is a bought leader and a traitor. more laws always leads to more crime. i dont need the fed to take care of me, we are not children, we can take care of ourselves if given the chance
envirogrunt 1 month ago
@envirogrunt
I am against the "Nanny state" proposed by the liberal government, but I am also against making new laws to govern us. We don't need more laws. Smaller government is a good thing. True, we don't need more or bigger jails. I agree with you.
albertabeefcowboy84 1 month ago
@envirogrunt I hope you realize that you are only hurting your credibility with the "neo-con", "corp buddy", "higher sentence than child rape" crap. I also dislike the Omnibus crime bill, but spewing random anti-conservative vocabulary without any real meaning just takes away from your point.
My solution on crime: don't increase sentences, just spend more on policing. Maybe instead of catching one in twenty criminals and punishing them severely, we should try to catch more of them.
MrRedtubelover 1 month ago
@MrRedtubelover everything i said was true. my credibility is justified by TRUTH. i am only anti-(this PM)conservative. my solution to crime is stop making so many laws that take away ppl's rights. if you are not hurting anyone, then there should be no laws against anything. stop treating ppl like they are children, stop the welfare state, it only adds to the perpetual state of insanity we live in. i dont need the fed getting involved in education, health care etc. libs and neocons, both crooks
envirogrunt 1 month ago
@envirogrunt Definitely a good idea, but it will barely begin to fix the problem. While expanding people's rights and liberties is a good idea, it will not be a major deterrent to crime. After all, most of today's criminal's are lowlifes who fail to make good use of the liberties they already have.

MurrayRide 3 months ago

Then shouldn't we vote for a party that care about every part of Canada instead of him? He does represent your province only because there is tons of natural ressources such as petrol. He does not care about the people living there more than elsewhere.
He does not represent the est at all... Canada is to big... Maybe we should split up and keep economical links, but smaller and more representative governementaly speaking.
No hate, just the unfortunate facts...
desrosiersfelix 3 months ago
@desrosiersfelix
EruditeCanadian 3 months ago
FYI: Stephen Harper only got 39% of the popular vote. Which means 61% of Canadians didn't vote for Harper. He only won a majority cause 40% of people didn't vote, cause their a bunch of stupid redneck Canadians who take their right to vote for granted, unlike all the immigrants coming from the middle east and asia who come from countries runned by fascist dictators where they can't vote and don't have rights, and then they come here and vote for another fascist dictator like Harper.

Harper is hardly Fascist... Look up the word in the dictionary, you apparently don't understand what the word means.
EruditeCanadian 2 months ago
He's not a fascist, in the true sense of what other fascists have done in the world. But he's ignorant. To implement the Omnibus Crime Bill, and build more jails and incarcerate more people at a cost to tax payers which has been estimated at a billion dollars a year, during a recession when 2 million Canadians are out of work, and at a time when the crime rate is at a record low in 40 years is STUPID. He is a STUPID STUPID man!
pirramimma100 2 months ago
@pirramimma100

(cont....)
pirramimma100 2 months ago
@pirramimma100
It's simple math, and not contradictory at all
EruditeCanadian 2 months ago
I really hate arguing with dumb people. So I'm not going to. You will see what happens when we are bankrupt. The states did this for many years, and look at them. Their borrowing money from China.

What do cat's have anything to do with anything? He's Canadian, and Canadians love their pets, whether their fascist or not!

@MurrayRide

Stay in Germany you braindead Liberal. We have enough Liberal dullards in this country already so one less is a good start.

oh yeah and addendum to what Harper spends your money on: obscene pay-offs for his friends, private flights with his family and concerts where he covers himself in his own false glory like a pig rolling in shit. despite telling the arts (which music falls under) unnecessary. Vote for him fine. But you've got to be an idiot to respect the unscrupulous little fool.

@MrAirandfire
EruditeCanadian 3 months ago
@EruditeCanadian Yes, instead give the money and the power to private institutions who have a track record for humanitarian and environmental destruction, who's want increases exponentially and who's only output is always, ultimately, waste. as for Harper's doings you know exactly the kind of things I mean, you choose to have cotton in your ears at the correct times. You seem like you're on a paycheque. reply all you like with all the bullshit you like. people know bullshit is bullshit.

@MrAirandfire

EruditeCanadian 3 months ago
oh the people who voted for him knew he'd get them more money. they weren't dumb -just unscrupulous and rat-like in their greed.
MrAirandfire 3 months ago
@MrAirandfire

MrAirandfire 3 months ago
@MrAirandfire
