  • Nice!!!,,, that thing hooked and booked, very impressive!!!!!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • u running a meth injection

  • I have a 496 in a 70 Chevelle that dyno's at 598hp at the flywheel. It runs incredibly strong but detonates on anything below 92 octane.

  • Wicked!

  • COMO EMPUJAAAA. how powerful

  • Does anyone know what kind of tranny this babe has?

  • That is AMERICAN horsepower. It was still pulling and getting faster when he let out.

  • why do people come on here and be loud mouth bitches about everything else but the subject matter... which is how awesome this car is... and some people wonder why our country is turning into a shit hole.. it's cause the genetics in some lines are falling apart .. F-ing sick car man! hoping my 65 with a 496 can get close to that.. !!!

  • @rednoseroxster Nice try scumbag but my mother died 2 years ago, now see if you werent being a tough guy on youtube you wouldnt have had to bring up that painful memory for me.

  • Nice setup! Right out of the hole that thing was in the zone!

  • no replacement for displacement... :]

  • @MCurry48 except for twin turbo charged high output v6 and mazda rotor and electric motor car and jet propeled cars and ...

  • @samandllamas your an idiot

  • @samandllamas What do you think happens when you put a twin turbo set up on large displacement motors...

Do a search for cars like Tim Lynch, and Larry Larson to see what happens if you have not seen them already.

  • @bigblockhitchcock

Except he's right when he mentioned electric cars. If we do get electric sport cars, the good thing about them is that there's no need for combustion and you get 100% of the torque right away. You would just have to replace the battery after every race lol.

  • @CyberGTX09 Well, thats probably true. But I would never race an electric car. Just a preference thing.

  • freedome!!!!!!

  • @rednoseroxster omg its for racing not driving on a day to day basis

  • @rednoseroxster How about we kill all the ragheads, take their oil, and start putting big blocks in every fucking car? That sounds pretty good to me.

  • @drgonzo767 Fucking Aye! I support.

  • @drgonzo767 lmao you're a genius

  • @drgonzo767 i like that idea haha

  • @rednoseroxster Shut the Fuck up and enjoy the car.

  • where di u buy that car? did u buy it from steve sanders?

  • What an awesome car....

  • Fuckin'-A...!

  • No substitution for American Muscle.

  • @INTIMIDATOR3FAN Detroit Muscle.

  • Anytime you don't even bother building up on the touqre converter and you lift the wheels off the ground your doing something. Nice chevelle man.

  • god man, beautiful...just beautiful!

  • thats a lot of ponies

  • lets see your honda run 9s on all motor haha

  • @bad65stang i wanna see a honda run nines period on a honda motor with nitro

  • @miketheredneckable damn straight

  • That car must come on hard with a lot of power down the line , it looks like it launches soft for a car breaking in to the 9s. Nice !!

  • my dad has a 69' chevelle malibu race car

suck it(: also we have 69 rs ss got it from our granddaddy

  • Man I wish mine would do that! Nice Pass.

  • how much is he trapping

  • 9 second n/a on pump gas... with a street car... thats damm impressive!

ive seen 9 second turbo street cars, but its one hell of a lot easier to run a high hp turbo car every day then something with 100% power at all times

  • was that in a 1/4 or 1/8 nice chevelle makes wish I still had mine

  • @tehee1266 that was a quater

  • nice

  • that chevy was moving kids vrooom vroom

  • why do people think imports are better than muscle or vice versa? either way, you have to mod the car in the way you want to race, circuit or drag or whatever, and if that is the case, you should be able to mod either to DO either type. i have a jeep cherokee that i drag with. just saying, you people are stupid to think the CARS have anything to do with how good they are in respect to drag racing or circuit racing. put a nice suspension on a muscle car and it can outdrift an import

  • Good running Chevelle. Some may or may not agree with me, but if you cant make your shit run without having a supercharger, turbos or juice...like this Chevelle is running...then IMO, you aint got shit.

  • @shooteraod Nothing wrong with a blower and some spray. I am using both on my small block powered Model A, which runs high 9s as well. Plus a big blower sticking up looks cool as hell....

  • @gearhead1930 I agree about how good a big blower looks, but I get my cookies blowing away motors with juice and superchargers with nothing but motor. Dont beat them all but I do beat 90% of them and my motor(s) are not under near as much strain. Its all good tho. I mainly build marine motors, but I also do race motors. Do a GOOGLE search using the name MotorsbyShooter and my site will come up. If you are ever out this way...stop in and have a beer.

  • its actually around 10 seconds but still that things hot

  • who cares about mpgs with these cars? these are to go out and enjoy a drive and burning some punks between the lights

the way it used to be when these cars were brand new

  • //celjrlGS19ses...USAFssAzores...// To whomsoever said something about this forty plus year old "commie-killer", "a light to light beast, that is representative of who we are, and how much fun it is to be an AMERICAN", commenting that it must be "...boosted, and probably NO2 as well...",

    - did you hear anything other than straight, constant, pure AMERICAN MUSCLE BIG BLOCK hp and torque blastin' down the strip? - because my ears heard nothin' but

PURE USA HORSES crushing the rice paddies.

  • @luckytpmd When I mentioned boost, I was referring to someone else's example of an import that was supposedly running 9's. Not this car...

  • //celjrlGS19ses...USAFssAzores...//

GOD BLESS AMERICA... To ALL the people who do nothing but post HATE FILLED comments against all things USA- We keep tellin' ya, but ya don't seem to hear yourselves spewin' nothin' but HATE, if ya don't like us, our cars, our ways, our REBEL - NO FEAR - WE DON'T GIVE A **** WHAT YA THINK OF US ATTITUDE - then we kindly invite you -

to go somewhere else where you can be happy, without spending all of your energy HATING "We the People of the USA".

  • Why don't they turbo' or super' -charge this vehicles?

  • @nandiito they would have to built a custom frame that wont twist and break.

  • @ps3dethman1 Sumbody should do it one of these days :)

  • car never peaked it was still pulling like hell through the lights.

  • @z06killer03mach1

    First, prove it.

Second, that's boosted, and probably NO2 as well...

Third, definitely not on 93 octane...

  • @love2ride450 I'm not a honda guy but I've seen Hondas do 9s on all boost. Theres a guy in OKC part of the onepercent crew that has an 800whp integra, does mid 9s in the 1/4 but can't get traction on the street to save his life. He does it all boost too. If you have a good 2 step you don't need spray. I love all types of cars, and despite what you think there are plenty of hondas in the 9s. There is no replacement for displacement but still give respect where its due. The vid is on streetfire

  • @kageryu311 Again, that's pretty impressive, but not on PUMP GAS!!!! Go check out Nelson Racing Engines to see what real horsepower can be made with V8's. He is currently working on an all aluminum small block DOHC 500ci V8 expected to produce around 2500 hp

  • @love2ride450 Horsepower is horsepower bottom line. I didn't come on here to one up you, I came on here just to back up another argument. I could care less what a big block can produce because bottom line is you can't use 2500hp on the street reliably, cheap or safely so I'm not so interested. Thank you and have a nice day.

  • @kageryu311 Hey man, that's fine. I like all cars, and have been impressed by some imports. It just irritates me when people (net necessarily you) suggest that imports are better because this or that. Commonly people say things like all you have to do is boost an import to be faster or the like. Problem is you can boost v8's too, and when you do, they will make way more power. No replacement for displacement!

  • @love2ride450 The imports are better and domestics are better deal is stupid IMO. How about we enjoy the fact that we all have cars that we enjoy?

  • @kageryu311 not all imports are better.. out trucks crush them in towing - tundra 10k vs f250 21k thats 110% more. same with our big rigs...even volvo rigs use amrican engines. the 6.0 and 6.4 ford/I.H diesel engines that have huge problems were disigned in europe by german enginners.

  • @ps3dethman1 Can you read? I said the Import vs Domestic deal is stupid period. Your comment is a two way street. it differs with the car. Some brands are better at certain things and others are better at different things.

  • @ps3dethman1 f150 tows 11300lbs, if your gonna compare it should be half ton to half ton, just sayin if the fords still the better truck why not make a fair comparison

  • oversized engine though :/

  • nice but that more like 10 second

  • @TwistedRides i think it said 9.96.......not 10

  • In a car like this....its NOT how many MPG's the car gets....It's how big the gas tank is

  • In drag cars, autos have the advantage. They are far more consistent and you don't have the risk of missing shifts. In slower street cars, manuals sometimes have an advantage. Cars with man trans make more Hp. They also have closer gear ratios in the trans and the rear end in like cars.

  • ... potential human error in a missed shift point, but isn't that the same story in an auto w/manual valve body? There are even a few videos i found that demonstrate what I am saying, search "318 dogbox" (the screaming diff will make your ears bleed), "ReNo Prelude 5G sequential shifter + dogbox", or "pifzner performance gearbox". I think I spelled that last one right, anyway, I for one will always choose a manual over an auto, BUT, there isn't a thing wrong with racing an auto either.

  • It seems to me that in the auto vs manual debate, its a stock manual compared to a purpose built automatic. Lets level the playing field. How about a dogbox, a manual transmission with dog-engagement rather than typical synchro rings. It allows for MUCH faster shifts without the need to use the clutch or the need to completely lift off the gas. So you get basically all of the shift speed of an auto + the mechanical efficiency and gear advantage of the manual box. But you do still have the...

  • 1874 had some muscle too

  • right on thychimm09

  • Comment removed

  • fucking bear....

  • those aint horses,, those are CLYDESDALES!

  • Load that thing up

  • fuck! thats sweet, id love to have my camaro in the 9's yet alone my street chevelle. geez dude... RIGHT ON, and good job.

  • tis a thing of beauty..

  • i wonder what size engine. it sounds sooo mean.

  • @labonna666 555 ci , says it in description

  • @romecrail oh yepp it does lolz didnt even see it

  • Awesome Car...Great Hole Shot...!!

  • hell yeah....giddy-up old hoss...

  • I just cumed on myself :|

  • love the car and looks but i don't like how so many amercan cars are faggy auto tranny =(

  • the majority of muscle cars are actually manual

  • the once imported to here :( mostly are not

  • either this one was auto, or it ran the whole quatermile in three gears on a manual... do they usually do that?

  • @NicolinoOh most manual trannys cant take that much power and it wouldent be practical youd be slower with a manual

  • @rafflersauce, obviously youve never heard of a muncie rock crusher. the reason manuals arent used isnt because they are slower its just easier to keep it consistent with an automatic, i know guys at moroso speedway that will walk automatics

  • @Inureto1 i have heard of muncies, what you said is what i was trying to get at.

  • Dumbshit, most drag street cars r Auto trans manually shifted.

  • Auto trans shift faster than a manual which would help the time. Drags are all about the time not what some people think is faggy.

  • @disturbedone5009 If someone who really knows how to drive a manual races someone in an automatic, the manual would win almost everytime. (Assuming the same engine)

  • @LayEmOut60 you couldnt possibly be any more dead wrong. you CLEARLY never go to a race track EVER. hate people that have your stupid ass ricer mentality

  • @carey540 Ok, so maybe I'm wrong. I've always though manuals were faster. I apologize for my ignorance. And just so you know, I'm definitely not a ricer fan.

  • @carey540 Manuals ARE faster but, ONLY if the late, great Ronnie Sox is driving. The greatest four speed driver to ever live. RIP Ronnie!

  • @carey540 I'm just curious now, and you seem to know what you're talking about, so I have a question. Don't most manuals get more HP output than an automatic in the same engine? I've always thought that was the case.

  • @LayEmOut60 Yes. If you are able to get perfect shifts throughout the gears, your will have a faster run.

  • my 1969 prius is faster! its got a steam engine from a train built in 1724,and puts out like 47 hp,and 6,092 lb ft!it also runs on lightning bolts, and bigfoot droppings,so its VERY economical. did i mention it was built by al gore. CHEVY RULES,thats one sweet ride!

  • lets see a Prius do that sh*t!!!

    hehee

  • let me find a video ROFL!

  • @thychimm09 A prius could easily do it. They're so small you could fit them into the trunk of a chevelle and bring it along for the ride =)

  • @firebat42 hahaha, thats the only way you could get a prius to do good on the strip

  • @thychimm09 ive seen a boosted crx do the 1/4 in 9.78 @151 street legal to

  • @thychimm09 Lets see a cahevelle get 50 miles per gallon!!!!

  • @thychimm09 Let's see any crapanese(ricer) do that!

  • man you really got your chassis set up nice! no bs straight as an arrow. i have a 70 with a 13-1 388 stroker. i do drive it on the streets every weekend(7$ a gallon at 4mpg sucks) and i take it to sacramento and drag race her 3 or 4 times a year. what do you have done to your suspension? you must be using an airbag in the pass/rear as do i but how the hell did u get that thing so straight outta the hole? my best time as of april was 10.98 @ 118. any tips on your set up would be great.

  • goddam!!!! 4mpg during normal driving?? thats like 60L/100K that's insane!

  • @lobzdik When you have that many horses you wouldnt give a shit how many mpgs you get

  • i know, I wouldn't care either, I just didn't think such a low mpg was possible ))

  • @lobzdik well for mpgs is kinda optimistic on the low radar id say prolly 8-10 mpgs

but hey its just 1/4 of a mile so still doesnt matter

  • @PrimitiveStrikeForce Exactly

  • @lobzdik I'm thinking more like 4 gallons per mile :)

  • i saw this car in person. it is absolutely gorgeous. i was there that track rental day last year when you were doing 10.0s. i was the younger dude that came to your tent setup and shot the shit with you for a little. i didnt have my car then, but hopefully ill catch up with you again and ill have my 68 with me.

  • i would kill for this car

  • u 2

  • how much horsepower/torque

  • Man how did you get that car to hookup like that.

  • Lets see a honda do that!!! lol

  • hahaha imposible.Muscle cars are the kings of drag.

  • Wow! Beautiful car! Nice video. About how much hp and tq are you pushing.

  • nice car what motor, bore and compression? 9's is easy but on a pump gas motor it becomes more difficult then add in that your not using any power adder and your on a small tire?

  • 555 ci, 10.5:1 comp., 93 octane, 3700 lbs., no nitrous, no trans brake.

** The best et was 9.90@134mph in 38` with DOT drag radials. with some headwork and tweaking I'm looking for a couple more tenths. Check back in April***

  • is this your car? very nice indeed hard to believe its a street car haha but adding a power adder and maybe alcohol fueled this thing can dominate pretty much any track. good little chevy :-)

  • Very nice, stays straight as an arrow. Nice to see an all motor-pump gas street car on the track.

  • nice small tire chevelle
