  • Boring. Check out Toyota's TS030 hybrid....much more interesting!!

  • there's something all together disconcerting about seeing a car traveling that quickly, yet that quietly. as much as they are fantastic cars, i'm a bit old fashioned, i think motor racing should make your ears bleed.

  • diesel 3.7L V6 is claimed to develop more than 397 kilowatts (532 bhp) of power

  • gorgeous car.

  • wtf is this diesel?

  • @lysolmax Uhh. Yeah. And Audi has been dominating with their diesels for a while now.

  • @draggonhedd Yea don't get me wrong diesels are amazing cars, but i miss the old scream of gas powered v12. This thing has a v6

  • batmobile

  • who knows, in 20 years we may see cars like these on the public roads :)

  • @IceWaterInc I hope so lol

  • @RealRapAndHipHp pugeot was the first, back in '08

  • This is wat my orgasm sounds like XD

  • wtf sounds just cuts off at 2:01

  • This is gorgeous! Wow!

  • Who else is looking forward to see this car in forza 4?

  • @2oC0N3R1o yes i do but i am expecting it would be DLC

  • This one badass set of wheels!

  • audi always bring some new thing to racing and the resualts alwayes proves how great audi is first the 4wd at group b rally and now the desiel at le mans audi engerinering always bring victorys by bringing some thing new and great to racing

  • didn't this car just win the 24 hr lemans?

  • @19danflo Yes it did

  • @19danflo yes it did

  • @19danflo correct-a-mundo. But hardly shocking that Audi wins Le Mans :P They almost always do =) Vorsprung durch Technik :D And great drivers of course. Respect to those guys. Freakin' legends.

  • @19danflo Yes

  • Gran Turismo 6. can't wait.

  • @12GAUGEtoyodome

They better release it as DLC in GT5. I don't want to wait another 5 years!

  • this car is amazing to see moving.. its almost like they sped up the film, but we know better!

  • hmmm... only 1 hater, amazing!

  • lol if ur not a professional racer this shit would take forever to get used to "ya this corner looks tight lets take it at 50" couple months later feeling confident "ya..same corner...lets try 100" lol so sick, gotta love engineering and sick nasty performance

  • What is this car? What league does it compete in? Thanks

  • @smokenfly514 its a le mans protoype and competes in the 24 hours of le mans and 12 hours of sebring

  • The person to crash that gets hung.

  • This "evil thing" (cause i cant call it "car" and obviously it is evil because something like that has no understanding of the word "good") kicks the spoilers off of a F1 car ! No doubt !

  • Great looking car as well as being fast.

  • 17200 people watched this.

None of them 'disliked' this video.

    The power of Audi!

  • If testicles were a noise, this would be it.

  • Hay derMeitzer, how did it sound?

  • its like a batmobile

  • So much about laughing at diesels that can't race for shit... They can't my ass...

  • The cameraman can't keep up; that's how quick it is. I was at Le Mans this year and it was incredible how fast it blitzed corners. ridiculous

  • real nice car but i think the peugeot 908 HDi is better...

  • @perroloboleo

Where you sleeping during during the 2011 Lemans?

2 Audis crashed and the remaining audi beat 3 Peugots and won

  • @selfsenter he must be a frenchman lol

  • I want this car soooooo bad!

  • Jizz in my pants. What a BEAST

  • This car sounds like a Jet....and its soo GREAT! :)

  • 2 crashed, 1 survived and won the race @ Le Mans

  • lol! I was watching this video and a peugeot advertisment poppet up in the right corner

  • Is it me or does this one louder than the one used last year in 2010 ??

  • Even losing 2 cars (to Ferraris...) didn't stop Audi from bagging the big W at Le Mans!

  • How many RPM these engines get to?

  • @jeshkam

its not as high as the gasoline ones since its a diesel, which is why the car is much quieter. I believe its max rom is 6-7k

  • @ForTehNguyen I thought so - they sound sort of like the old school F1 cars from late 60s, early 70s i love it, the sound is so low and deep, beautiful. I totally changed my attitude towards Diesel engines after seeing 2011 Le Mans.

  • WINNER, that's all

  • amazing what happens when the 1.9TDi is remapped.

  • they need to stick a v12 in it. it would really suit it

  • @ironryan9999 Whats the point of adding a V12 when they wouldn't be able to enter it due to HP restrictions in Le Mans, the entire reason why they made the car to begin with?

  • @ironryan9999 shut up you dumb cunt

  • what a beast..

  • Felisito a audi gran diseño

  • Turbos louder than the engine.

  • Woo group C is back!

  • @bandman232

    With worse sound.

  • @bandman232 It's a P1 car..

  • Damn, even in racing, Audi's LED lights give it that air of class above the rest!

  • I'm confused on why they didn't bring at least one audi r18 to the 12 hours of sebring. It's a new car they don't really know how it'll run for the 24 hours of le mans, so why not test it at the 12 hours of sebring? Seems like a no brainer to me.

  • @kshaffer82 thy have tested it just on there own track in germany

  • I love Audi but I also very much respect Peugeot. Without the rivalry Audi would not nearly be as good or exciting to watch. I dont "hate" Peugeot or want them to crash. I hope they put up a good race all the way to the end. I dont see why these fan-boyz go back and forth. If Audi wasnt in the race, i would probably be rooting for Peugeot.

  • PST and Matmut Oreca are shitting themselves right now!

  • I came at 0:38.

  • Please let this be in Forza 4

  • I really don't find that fair. Audi have compltely copied the 908 strucutre and aerodynamic elements. This really isnt fair play!!!!

  • @boise78600 Maybe they had to do it that way because of the new regulations? think about it!

  • @666unnamedfreak666 The new regulations does not stipulate anything about aerodynamics. It limits the number of cylinders to 8 and the litre charge to 3.8 litres. It also forces the use of ventilation and any vehicle with an inside temperature of 36 celsius degrees is disqualidfied

  • @boise78600 Well think of it this way. Pug has a winning design and Audi does not. The winning design is the winning design and teams will do anything to match or better their cars to those specs. Audi's best shot was to work with what they had available to them i.e the 908. Just by looking at the two cars you can see there is a significant amount of differences in the aero design although the overall shape resembles the 908 very closely. A good example of this is Mclaren and Red Bull in F1

  • @boise78600 You have to understand - these cars are LMP1 classification. They change the rules for this classification every year. Watch "Truth in 24" (you can find it free in iTunes) sometime. Audi won Le Mans annually for several years in a row, mostly due to their innovative use of diesel. As a result of their dominance, the race's governing body changed the rules each year to make it harder for Audi to win again. Finally, in 2008, it was clearly Peugeot who had the better car for the rules.

  • @cmclaren17 When Audi had won several times in a row, peugeot was not in the competition yet. The first edition of le mans for peugeot sport was 2007 i think (not sure have to check, could be 2006) . The rules for diesel only changed recently and Audi were never faced to an opponent the size of peugeot before. Their greatest challenge was in 2003 and it was against ta petrol Bentley speed 8 :/ ....Peugeot still beat Audi (e.g 1000 Km Spa - Francorchamps 2011) but the gap has been narrowed down)

  • @boise78600 You also have to understand that there is a rules change so that a team can only have 2 guys changing tires during a pit stop. This lengthens pit stops obviously so Audi's advantage over the 908's (that they could do shorter driver changes (and ergo pit stops) cause of the open roofs) has been negated. And a closed car is simply more aerodynamic than an open one. So there is no reason to run an open car if you had the choice, cept that the open cars are sexier.

  • @boise78600 They didn't "copy" shit. GTFO peugot FANBOY!!

  • @boise78600 shut faggot

  • Audi 1-2-3 at Spa! This car is gonna be amazing!

  • i think Peugeot has a problem!

  • lol soon it will be an inline 4, so many restrictions placed on diesels to reduce effectiveness against gasoline

  • TDI! cant wait to see in at Le Mans.

  • I know! Just One more week! ITs gonna kick the crap out of the Peugeots. LMAO

  • I love diesel

  • Hopefully we'll have an exciting 24 hours of Le Mans this year, but i'm very sceptical, having watched this. Now Aston Martin made the mistake Audi made with the R15 probably making it easy for Peugeot, Audi and all others, shame really. Can't help but wonder how the diesels would perform if the regulations were the same as for turbocharged petrol engines.

  • Audi 1-2-3 at LeMans test

  • Sounds like a goddamn plane.

  • Nice to see they have retained the lights mounted in the rearwing like the R15. @gooferman609, It is estimated that the 3.7 litre twin turbo V8 in the back of the R18 is putting out around 550bhp. But I won't be surprised if it is pushing out nearly 600bhp. But it does look faster than the old R15

  • @IRLangmaid25 its a 3.7L V6

  • Looking forward to seeing this beast at Petit Lemans this year!!

  • this car turn the corners like if there is no tomorrow damn its sounds like a demo

  • Beautiful.

  • that car looks bad in all black! and that starting noise CRAZY! does anyone know how mush PSI those turbos are pushing out?
