can you please point out what the "uhm" is you felt, and what about the video you didnt like? i can appreciate what it feels like to be a part of an acapella singing group where each voice stands alone... and there are performances every night that affect quality. when one voice is affected, the sound of the whole is affected. i thought, in light of that, that the performace was very good.

They're actually a very original group. They brought together all of their different voices at Oakwood College (now University) and made it work from there. That's really a testament to the real talent this group has. Not many people can just come together and make harmonies like that. Especially in 6 parts.

Yes it is a "raised 11th" - Take 6 have said that they are really a jazz-based vocal group with of course, their deep faith in God. So to hear these jazz harmonies is what makes them sound different from say, "Boys 2 Men" - who they are often compared to. I love these guys. They make me smile so much. Their arrangements are so unique.

Not everything should be simple. To keep it balanced, difficult and complex things need to exist. Take 6 make it very complex, but it is communicative, it is extremely enjoyable and they don't make it complex just for the sake of it. Their harmonies and counterpoint arrangements are simply the very best. If you like simple, you should look elsewhere.
