iM preety sure Taylor will be in for the last ever tour because Jagger got him to do a track on the Exile outtakes plundered my soul.It would be sell out shows everywhere!
Little Susie will never see that side of herself; she will always send dead flowers. Her eys, the windows of the soul, are dead. She doesn't know that we have already turned from her but still want to protect her. She won't see her part. She receives roses, because we always turn the other cheek. We love her even though she is brutally mean. We still show her love. We still try to say that she is worth loving. We even go down, we even lose our own composure but don't lose love.
takes me back to Ricky Tik early 60s and Granada Cinema Greenford Middlesex UK, just released not fade away,1964 paid half a crown to get in,but top of the bill was John Leyton!!!
love to all , Sixties Pete,,thinkin of back then now want some purple hearts, but musnt
As much as I love the Stones, IMO, I just don't think they were capable of holding Taylor's interest. He was such a prodigy--in the same vein as Tommy Bolin, that he quickly grew bored with them. He wasn't challenged by them or their material. His persona seemed easy-going and deferential. Hmm, what other Stones member fit that bill? Brian Jones--who IMO, was the most talented of the original Stones, was also more of an accommodating fella'.
@immerstahl i agree so much! What are the Stones without him?I`m downloading bootlegs with Taylor but none with Woody even though he`s a nice guy.he should play bass.
@sigilopator Yes Mick T was awesome but every Guitarist in the stones was and it is Keef who is the HEART so please dont make comments that dont hold water
Kieth and Ronnie have way more chemistry than when Mick taylor as in the band. Their guitar technique ("the ancient art of weaving") is something Kieth and original guitarist Brian Jones perfected when the band was just starting out. So the lead/rythm split is not what the stones are about.
@Squalous yes taylor was/is a great guitarist and shit, two of the best stones albums came out with taylor in the band, those being sticky and exile of course. but ronnie and keith have a different relationship musically and i think it's just as good if not better. they just meld into each other which is a whole another art of playing with someone else, "the ancient art of weaving" as keith calls it, and ronnie's got it more down than taylor. peace bro!
could not agree more, and Keith would agree :-) "the ancient art of weaving" is much more difficult than having one solo guitar and a rythmic one... If some of you are looking for great solos in The Stones, there are some yes, but this is not what the Stones are about! Go listen to Clapton!
simplesmente a melhor fase dos stones é com mick taylor, show de bola...

Me encanta esta canción, es una de mis favoritas. Mick Taylor le daba un salto de calidad a la banda, está muy por encima de Ronnie.

It's funny, I was watching Shine A Light just last night. It struck me how much different the Stones may have been had Taylor remained in the band.

@huguenot40 Man! If they would have asked Mick T. to come back after Bill Wyman left and moved Woody to bass, it could have been interesting.
