RFfihing, you said you've never been deep sea fishing. That was a Yellow Tail Tuna, known for long fights. A very strong fish. Catch one and you'll understand why it took so long to land, the fact that the angler was wet around the ears did add some time though, but none the less a Yellow Tail will eat your lunch.
