  • OMG, Madam at the organ is a hoot!

  • is it me or is the first guy roy, rock hudson???

  • Yeah, that was Rock.

  • OMG! I would so go to this church!! Love Bea Lots!!! Thanks for posting this rare piece!!

  • where in the world can i get this on dvd???!!!!

  • Hunt around the Web. eBay, iOffer, bidmaster and sell are good places at which to start.

And dont forget the dotcoms for all of them. You Tube policy prevents me from listing the actual URL addresses in proper form here.

As an obvious beginning, why not simply private message the Tuber who uploaded the video here if he/she has the complete program, or from where the video was obtained?

  • Is no one going to even mention Madame? Or Melba Moore? Praise Jesus!

  • OK, I'll mention them both.

I remember Melba Moore (and her fine, soulful voice) from TV shows in the 1970's. I think Moore also sometimes appeared on the panel of the syndicated "What's My Line?" game show (the version hosted by Wally Brunner, with Arlene Francis & Soupy Sales).

And "Madame's Place" I recall was a syndicated program like "The Muppets' Hour." But were Waylon Flowers & Madame sometimes on The Muppets show too?

  • I know they appeared either on the original or in a revival of the game show "The Hollywood Squares."

Funny stuff. Flowers was a kind of "gay Edgar Bergen or Shari Lewis" (these were famous ventriloquists for those of you too young to recall--although Bergen was usually on the radio, where the skills aren't seen & on TV his lips often moved).

  • I am gonna be sick

    i love it

  • great video

  • gotta luv bea

  • Where did you find this? Was it on her variety special back in the late 70's? TVLand should rerun all six seasons of Maude, now that the first season is available on DVD!!!!!

  • I absolutely agree with you.

With the renewed interest in Bea Arthur (that usually follows a celebrity's death), I hope in this case the situation will lead to a re-discovery of "Maude" on the part of a nationwide TV channel, which in turn will lead to first discovery of a very funny & landmark TV series for those too young to have seen the program when first broadcast (or even from its brief, syndicated runs in the past).

  • I would actually go to her Church if she was preachin like this.

  • i love bea arthur with all my heart. she is great in every video of her.
